Stolen guns recovered, juveniles among arrests for gun shop break-ins

Jake May
KENT COUNTY, MI — Police have recovered more than 10 handguns and rifles believed to have been stolen from a pair of gun stores in Sparta and Kentwood.

Three juveniles and an adult suspected of breaking into the gun shops in the early hours of Sunday, July 14 have been arrested. The adult is expected to be arraigned on federal charges soon, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.

Police declined to provide the number of firearms that remained unaccounted for as of Wednesday, July 17, but said they have recovered “a majority” of the stolen guns but there are “still some outstanding.”

Officers were dispatched at 3:33 a.m. Sunday to a report of a break-in at Imperial Gunworx at 134 E. Division St. NW in the village of Sparta. Police said four individuals forced entry into the store and stole 19 handguns.

Later that morning, four individuals, who police said appeared to be the same suspects, forced entry into Armory Valentine Gun Store in Kentwood and stole additional firearms including semi-automatic rifles.

Teen shot while trying to rob delivery driver pretended to be customer: Prosecutors

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 17-year-old high school student shot by the delivery driver he allegedly tried to rob at gunpoint appeared in court, where prosecutors said he pretended to be a customer before he was shot.

Malcom Nwadike has been charged with aggravated robbery.

He went before a judge Wednesday still wearing medical scrubs and on crutches. The delivery driver shot him in the leg.

On Monday night, the delivery driver, who works for a Chinese food restaurant, responded to a call at the Village of Fondren Apartments in the 6200 block of West Airport in southwest Houston.

Police say Nwadike made the online order with instructions not to knock on the door, but instead, call a phone number.

He also allegedly gave the delivery driver an incorrect apartment number.

Authorities told ABC13 the delivery driver was waiting on him to come out of the apartments when Nwadike came out of the shadows, pointed a gun and stole his wallet.

For the Phoenix story, you forgot to “carry the one” for the woman who was also arrested.
So the Phoenix story is 1/1/0, giving Today’s Grand Total of (drumroll and flourishes) 1/6/0.
What are the payout odds? And where are my cathead bizcuits?

5th/77th FA

Tox, cat headed bizquits are coming out as we speak. Your choice of country ham, thick sliced applewood smoke bacon, or linked sausages. Been a slight delay, FIRST thing this morning. Had to drop a little love on the lying, posing, embellishing POS Lester Kent Brown (another Google Hit for you,,,Dipsh^t).

Usually on low payoff days like this, we just roll the winnings over to the next day or even later. Depending on what the Sunday Brunch Buffet is offering as to whether we wait til then. Patience my Brother, I’ll make sure you draw rations.

We got to cut AW1Ed some slack. As outcast butters up…err, points out below, ‘Ed is a busy man. Still got a day job, a trophy wife, riding herd on D H, putting up with me, I mean the list just goes on and on. I won’t be the FIRST to say that he does a fine job here. Could be he’s suffering from a lack of Thursday are for cooking posts; could even have something to do with a certain sporting event that happened last 8 Dec. You want jelly with them cat heads, or mustard?

Ex-PH2

Sorry about that! I thought yesterday was Tuesday or Someday. Then it rained. The heat is getting on my nerves.

I was crushed myself. Had anticipated gloating about my crocked pot full of fresh picked crowder peas, heavily infused with bacon, the flat iron cut of orasted beef beast, AND the lacy johnny cakes (cornmeal thin hoe cakes) I had made up. It was right tasty.

Good one! Thanks for the chuckle.

Outcast

When one considers the many articles one has to review to report articles that are of interest that are not national headlines and then review the articles for accuracy, pending updates, and other relevant information one must review in order to post stories here, at least with all the data and other mind boggling in ones mind at the time of reporting the articles, I would have to say he is doing good as can be done. At least he does not just get headline stories off national news, that would be too easy. Shoot we could pack statistics easy by writing up a story in the news in Californica with the MS-13 luring a 16 year old into a trap and killing him and thus we would have none killed, none arrested but 10,000 on the run and added to that is the fact that probably over 50% are illegals. AW1ED is doing good as he can to fill the shoes he is filling and keeping his head above water. As to payout at window, if I had one the payout would be nothing for a 1/6/0 as that is not official and would be like getting a million dollar payout at a horse race on a horse that came in last. AW took over for Dave who also tried to fill the shoes of John who sadly passed.

Nothin’ serious here, Outcast. Just giggles, grins, and leg pullin’. All in friendship and fun. I take it with the same attitude that Ex-PH2 does with grammar and Sister Mary. (btw, haven’t heard anything from Sister Mary in awhile. Hope the old ruler whipping knuckle cracker is ok)

And my payout doesn’t need to be expensive, cathead biscuits will suffice.

Ex-PH2

Sister Mary Grace is pondering the idiocy of teenagers who think it’s okay to break into a gun shop and steal guns, and REALLY wants a word with their slacker parents.

UpNorth

The teens are insurance, usually if the police get the burglar alarm, and catch the underage teens stealing the guns, the adult flees the scene, leaving his protégés on foot to be caught. The juveniles will be taken to juvenile detention, which will be on the phone to mom before the arresting officer can complete the walk to his cruiser parked outside. Then mom shows up and the kid(s) are released to a parent. Mom will grouse and bitch while picking up her offspring, then, after promising he will remain in the house until his court date, will be out the next night, and so will Ladacious, or Octavioous or whoever.

David

Sounds like over 30 guns stolen in MI with over 10 recovered. I assume the balance will quickly be recovered when the buyers’ universal background checks come in.

Roh-Dog

^^^This^^^
My prediction, at least on gun will be found at a crime scene in Shitcago. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth by the media about gun laws in surrounding states, then deafening silence when the truth comes to light.

I’m still having trouble translating these perps names. How come they are not named Joe, Mike, Al, Steve, John, Scott, ETC.

Ex-PH2

They’re space aliens, not hoomans, man!

Ex-PH2

I’ll drink to that!!
