Police: Woman shoots ex-boyfriend as he breaks into her house in East Price Hill

CINCINNATI — Police are investigating after a woman allegedly shot her ex-boyfriend who was trying to break into her house through a window Thursday in East Price Hill.The incident took place around 5 a.m. on the 2500 block of Ring Place.
Police said the ex-boyfriend kicked out the AC unit and tried to break through the front window.
Police said the woman who shot her ex-boyfriend had a protection order against him and had a license to carry. Her five kids were upstairs at the time, police said.
Police said the homeowner and the man she shot have a long, violent past.

Pastor, wife kill intruder in their home near River Oaks, police say

HOUSTON — A Houston pastor and his wife shot and killed a man who broke into their home late Saturday night, Houston police say.Jeff Powers and his wife told police they were awakened by noises coming from their backyard. Police say they saw a man in their backyard, who forced his way inside the residence in the 6100 block of Del Monte, near River Oaks.
Powers and his wife opened fire on the suspect and he was struck by at least one bullet.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead by Houston firefighters.

Suspect in custody after carjacking a vehicle on westbound 202 in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — A man is in custody after police say he carjacked a vehicle on the freeway, causing westbound Loop 202 to be closed at 32nd Street in Phoenix Wednesday morning.According to Sgt. Tommy Thompson with Phoenix police, it all started at about 8 a.m. when the suspect, later identified as 36-year-old Carl Corder, was on foot on the freeway. Thompson said Corder started pounding on the hood of a car and got into a fight with the driver.

Lesueur says the suspect took off nearly running him over, so he opened fire.
Corder wasn’t hit.

Hallilulah! Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition! Bet the thief didn’t see that one coming. Mr Burglar thought he had a soft and easy target at a man of the cloth’s house.

As for Miss Long, Lean, and Leggy, I’m just sorry that she doesn’t live in my neighborhood. Life would be more interesting.
Carjackings. They do make cars now that won’t start unless you step on the brake. And that only shows up in the dashboard if you have the “key” with you, otherwise, it’s blank.
They also make cars that have a push-button and don’t require a key to start, but do require that you have that lump of plastic that looks like some kind of remote, if you want to start the car. I’ve driven both kinds.
I think I’d like a “remote” that has an “OFF” button so that if I’m carjacked (fat chance), I can just kill the ignition system and wait for the cops to get there.
Someone carjacks some cars and all the owner has to do is call OnStar and tell them to shut-off the engine and call the popo and give its location.

That flashlite looks like the surefire lite I used to carry on my duty belt. Used it a lot while shooting out at the indoor Freeport Police range (Long Island, NY)
