By: Katelyn Cordero
Two brothers were arrested after the older brother, who had made terroristic threats at MidHudson Regional Hospital, was shot by his younger brother, according to City of Poughkeepsie police.

Adam Hannon, 28, was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony. He was arraigned and sent to the Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bail.

Zachary Hannon, 25, was charged with second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. He was arraigned and sent to the Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.

City police were called to a residence on Yates Boulevard for a domestic disturbance at 1:12 a.m. Thursday, where they found Adam Hannon shot in the arm.

Town of Poughkeepsie Police said Adam Hannon had been at MidHudson Regional Hospital earlier in the night, where had threatened to return to the hospital with a firearm to kill people. He had visited the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during a domestic incident, town police said.

Motorcyclist with concealed carry permit shoots man who confronted him, Largo police say
Police say witnesses told them the motorcyclist backed away for approximately 20 to 30 yards and told the man that he didn’t want to shoot him.

10News Staff
LARGO, Fla. — A confrontation between an “angry” man and a motorcyclist escalated into a shooting Thursday night in Largo, according to law enforcement.

It happened just before 10 p.m. on 16th Street Northwest near 6th Avenue Northwest.

Largo police say an “angry, intoxicated man,” who was yelling and waving his arms, confronted a 21-year-old motorcyclist who was riding home south on 16th Street Northwest. Authorities say because he was wearing a helmet, the motorcyclist apparently could not hear what the taller, agitated man in his 40s was saying.

“The man became aggressive and punched the motorcyclist through the open visor of the motorcyclist’s helmet, leaving a contusion on his face,” Largo Police Lt. Randall Chaney wrote in an email.

Investigators say the motorcyclist fell over and was briefly trapped under the motorcycle.

“The man came around the motorcycle and the motorcyclist thought he would be attacked again,” Lt. Chaney explained.

Chaney said as the motorcyclist got up and began backing away, the motorcyclist warned the man that he had a gun and a concealed carry permit. He reportedly told the man to stop walking toward him.

“The man moved his hand under his vest at his waistline and the motorcyclist, who had his gun in a holster at the small of his back, thought the man was reaching for a weapon,” Chaney said. “Witnesses say the motorcyclist backed away for approximately 20 to 30 yards, telling the man multiple times that he did not want to shoot him.”

That’s when investigators claim the man made a movement that the motorcyclist felt was “an attack or lunge toward him.”

Nashville man confronts would-be thief, runs off with ladder

Cameron Taylor
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – A Nashville man confronts someone he sees trying to break into his home in the middle of the night.

“Immediately, you get that kind of instant, a little bit of a panic,” Russell Smith, the homeowner, said.

It happened early Friday morning in the Sylvan Summit area. It’s how the would-be thief got to the house that has neighbors talking.

In this instance, he didn’t take anything, but he was out there for hours and it could have ended differently.

“Hey! Get out of here. I’m calling the police now. We’ve got a gun,” Smith said through his Ring camera microphone.

Jumping over a railing, you see someone running with a ladder into the night. Smith remembers waking up and seeing that person trying to pull the back door open.

“I mean I’ll admit you hear your heart beat, blood is running, and I had the shotgun in hand and I was just trying to get a bullet in the chamber,” Smith said.

Smith later walks outside with his shotgun to see if the would-be thief is gone. He hasn’t seen him since the incident.

What worries Smith is why the guy had a ladder in the first place.

Top of the morning, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes! We start the work-week with zero morts, a poor man’s Trifecta with three inconvenienced by excessive stupidity, and one in the wind- watch for the guy with a ladder.

If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them… ‘Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ’em all in,’ I would have done it.

Toxic Deplorable B Woodman

When I read the top story, I get a flash of the movie “Dumb and Dumber”, or the cartoon “Two Dumb Dogs”.

The only thing worse than a family tree that looks like a straight stick, is a family tree that looks like a wreath.

David

Ah yes, the family vine.

My, oh my… stellar lady.

For those who are confused by “stand your ground”, the second story is a textbook case: in many jurisdictions you were prosecuted if you did not attempt to retreat from a threat similarly, and you had to prove retreat was impossible to avoid that prosecution. Made no sense.

Feinstein does not realize that we will not subscribe to her malicious desires for disarming citizens.

What Feinstein proposes is to turn the state against law abiding Americans.

If you want a civil war, this is how you get a civil war.

5th/77th FA

Nailed it TW. And that’s exactly what a lot of congress critters want. Then they can force a declaration of martial law and attempt to disarm the citizens.

Trifecta is still a trifecta. It still pays. Where dahell is outcast? I need some help transporting the winnings.
