Sheriff: Unicoi County shooting appears to case of self-defense
UNICOI COUNTY, Tenn. — The investigation continues but Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley said Saturday night’s shooting death appears to be a case of self-defense.
Hensley says 49-year-old Larry Junior Morton was shot and killed at a home on Simerly Creek Road.
He says evidence indicates that Morton was in a dispute with his neighbor on Simerly Creek, went armed to his neighbor’s home, became threatening and the neighbor shot him.

I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them. — George Mason, during Virginia’s Convention to Ratify the Constitution (1788)

A mid-week Trifecta, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. Not much more to say about that.
Some writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins … Society is in every state a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one. — THOMAS PAINE

Nice “side by two”
I was trying to come up with a name for the neo Nazi group on the other thread. I googled “Frankenwaffen” and came up with a recent FGS.

Yeah Buddy, with pecans and peanut butter, part of the All Star Breakfast. Side of country ham, with eggs, scrambled with cheese, hash browns scattered, covered and smothered or cheese grits.
Breakfast on me boys and girls, a mid week trifecta pays off bigly.

The cat headed biscuits are a given, they stay on the menu. When we say “biscuits with that”, it is a statement not a question.

The SIG M17 is featured in American Rifleman this month. Not replacing the M9 Beretta but now being issued.
The civilian P320 version should be showing up on FGS in the future. With a 21 rd mag the scores should improve but at the cost of more wasted warning shots.
‘Warning shots’ aka ‘misses’.
Note for the non-gunnutz: That Stoeger is a double barreled hammerless coach style shotgun that was primarily designed for Cowboy Action Shooting for those that like to shoot doubles instead of our beloved Model 1897 Winchester pump guns.
It’s called a “97” because that is how many things can go wrong with it at the match…
