Man Purchases 8 Million Dollar Island-Then Steals From Kmart
Andrew Francis Lippi purchased an island for 8 million dollars, but stole $300.00 worth of items from Kmart. (Monroe County Sheriff’s Office)
Andrew Francis Lippi had enough money and credit to purchase an island, but couldn’t simply spend $300.00 for household items. Instead, he came up with a plan to steal that merchandise instead.
Not only did he purchase Thompson Island, but he also owns the house used by MTV for it’s 17th season “Real World” episodes.
From the Associated Press and ABC 15:
Police say Lippi bought items including a Keurig coffeemaker between March 30 and April 5.
He returned the original boxes with other items packed inside.
Lippi told the Herald the theft allegation is “complicated” and he’d rather not talk about it.

Florida again. WTF. When I moved down to florida in 2007, I bought HP printer cartridges from Walmart and when I got home and opened up the box, their was a used cartridge inside. Got a refund from Walmart and I buy the cartridges from Office Depot now.

There’s a few left, none locally. K Mart broke every rule of Business/Marketing 101. Sad part is they destroyed Sears just before they self destructed themselves. I think Dicks is following the same plan. Overpriced obsolete, shoddy product. Overpaid higher level executives, pissing off customers and suppliers. The list goes on.

It turns out he used it under a false name so he could spend all day arguing with hourly store employees about how they were wrong.
