Chatter On, Soul, Chatter On….

It gets rather monotonous to have to keep track of the boisterous nonsense that comes out of a new and very Freshman Congress critter, but we must all, as I have said before, be as aware as we can of her public maunderings.

This one from Ms. OC gives me, like, a headache because it is so, like, so abysmally , like stupid, you know? There’s also, like a video, you know, so you can, you know, like, watch the video and like, take it all in.

She can’t speak extemporaneously on any topic. She has to be prepped with lines she can memorize. Remember someone else stammering when he had nothing to read at the podium and had to ad lib?

In addition, she is doing a fine job of pissing off people who might otherwise support her.  Just superb.

For example, she now has the AFL-CIO so annoyed that they’ve sent her a letter making it clear that they do not support her views at all.   https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/unions-split-with-democrats-over-green-new-deal, with a statement as follows:
“We will not accept proposals that could cause immediate harm to millions of our members and their families.”

There is a massive voting base in the labor unions, those millions of members, but she seems to be blithely unaware of this.  I hope she retains that quality.

Her idea of how to pay for things is to print more money.  Didn’t they do that in Germany – some place like that? I know that was one of Maduro’s scams: print more bolivars to give people money to spend, while all those other government slugs were siphoning funds out of the Venezuelan treasury and moving their stolen money to out-of-country accounts.

Seriously, she is doing a fine job of destroying her vote base while we watch. I have no idea how she plans to put all those grandiose plans of hers into effect, but we really need to make sure that she goes on blithely rattling on with her Big Ideas and gets lots of attention for them. She does not have any plan, for example, for how to feed 310 million people, a great many of whom are used to either getting it from markets that carry whopping volumes of foodstuffs and serve a huge customer load, or raising their own food if they have room, or subscribing to a local truck farm’s program. There are two in my area that I can subscribe to, and a third that will take prepaid orders. I can tell you from my own experience that a minimum of one acre per person is required to raise enough vegetables, including potatoes, for a year, and that’s starting with helping my parents with their 5 acres of garden which kept the 5 of us us all well-fed for a 12-month period.

I’m quite certain now, based on the ignorance she’s shown about construction, among all the other things, that she is also quite clueless about building codes and how much they’ve changed since the 1870s, after they were implemented following the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. I find that my little house is so energy-efficient, my gas and electricity consumption have dropped since I first moved here, probably because I had a new motor installed in the furnace about 5 years ago, and the higher efficiency is reflected in my monthly utility bills. There is no need to replace it, at all. However, a new roof would probably increase its R factor enough to reduce my utility bills even more.

Let’s keep a close eye on her, everyone. I’d love to take bets on what’s next with her, but I’m not sure that the OTB office would give me an over-and-under on it.
