Sheila Jackson-Lee ousted as chair of Congressional Black Caucus

| January 25, 2019

The entitled Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee has had a rough ride back in economy class, where the great unwashed have to ride.

Seems a lawsuit filed by “Jane Doe,” said she was raped by a Congressional Black Conference Foundation employee in 2015, when she was a 19-year-old intern, and her attacker was the 30-year-old coordinator of the CBCF’s intern program.

Her detailed lawsuit suggested a police investigation ensued, including taking the alleged attacker’s DNA, though it does not seem that a prosecution took place.

Which brings us to this:

Sheila Jackson Lee is the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 18th congressional district, currently serving in her 13th term in the House. Born Sheila Jackson in Queens, New York. Her parents were both immigrants from Jamaica. She graduated from Jamaica High School in Queens. She earned a B.A. in political science from Yale University in 1972, followed by a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1975.

In 1994, Jackson Lee challenged four-term incumbent U.S. Congressman Craig Washington in the Democratic primary, for opposing several projects that would have benefited the Houston area. Jackson Lee defeated Washington in a rout, taking 63% to Washington’s 37%. The victory secured her election in this heavily Democratic, black-majority district. In the general election, she defeated Republican nominee Jerry Burley 73%-24%.

Jackson Lee served on the House Science Committee and on the Subcommittee that oversees space policy and NASA. She is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, as a CBC whip.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee gave up a subcommittee chairman’s post and appears to have been ousted as chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation after she was accused of retaliating against an employee who said a foundation supervisor raped her.

The Texas congresswoman had been in line to be chair of the Judiciary Committee’s crime, terrorism and homeland security subcommittee, but is out now amid concerns her situation would derail important work on the Violence Against Women Act.

Despite being the third-ranking Democrat on the committee, she was excluded from all of the subcommittee chairs.

Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler said Ms. Jackson Lee made a decision to “voluntarily and temporarily step back.”

“This decision does not suggest any culpability by Rep. Jackson Lee,” said Mr. Nadler, New York Democrat. He said Rep. Karen Bass would serve as chairwoman “until the matter is resolved and Rep. Jackson Lee can resume the role of the chair.”

Sheila Jackson Lee has been a congresswoman for over 20 years. However, she acts far more like an arrogant monarch than a humble servant of the people.

The Texas Democrat has regularly abused her power and position to demand and receive special treatment from private companies, demean and harass subordinates, and reap untold benefits of being “The Queen.”

When her abusive behavior comes to light, Jackson Lee often claims her opponents are racist.

Jackson Lee’s most recent abuse of power comes at the expense of teacher Jean-Marie Simon who was allegedly bumped from her first class seat when Jackson-Lee demanded it. Simon was given a voucher for her flight by United and moved to the economy section. On her way to the back of the plane, Simon saw Jackson Lee occupying her seat.

Trying hard to squeeze out a tear for poor SJL. No, really!

Ousted from her position as CBC Foundation chair, and bypassed for House Subcommittee chair positions?

    Gee. That’s . . . just . . . too . . . bad.

    • HMC Ret says:

Were those “House Subcommittee chair positions” first class chair positions? I delight in seeing holier than thou, pompous assholes crash and burn. I’m sure she has or soon will whip out the rassist card but probably won’t get much traction with that ploy. And I predict she will be reelected. That’s how these things sometimes work out.

    • Fyrfighter says:

CBC? along with the hispanic one, that seems to me to be one of the most racist organizations in this country.. can yu imagine the outcry if there was a Congressional White Boy Caucus? or a Congressional Redneck Caucus?… the hypocrisy of the left truly knows no bounds… and since Commissar has been haunting the boards again, and will probably take isue to this post, Ill just offer a preemptive FOAD..

    That’s racist!

I’ll be surprised if this gets more than a 30 second clip on any of the MSM (ABC, CNN, NBC, etc) news networks.

      • MSG Eric says:

Fox News will cover it and liberals only response will be, “Fox News is Racist, what do you expect!”

Now if only we could dissolve all groups that exist to waste tax money as entitlement tools based on immutable physical characteristics rather the needs of American citizens.

SJL has been a shame to and a blight on good Texans for far too long.

Unfortunately the socialists in Houston have managed to keep the unwashed masses from getting rid of her.

  8. OWB says:

What? She got caught, again, making unreasonable demands while failing to do things which actually make sense or might be in her job description?

Shows just how crazy some folks can be. They pitch fits when they find that a guy they don’t like was once in the same zip code with a women with a fertile imagination and a willingness to lie in public, but they ignore real assault and harassment. Well, OK.

    Hypocrisy on parade. Again.

  9. 2/17 Air Cav says:

“This decision does not suggest any culpability by Rep. Jackson Lee.”

On the contrary, the sudden loss of power seats does precisely that. Critters. They really are something. If there is ever the remotest possibility that exoneration will occur, an accused critter will fight tooth and nail to retain power. Hell, even when there is no possibility, some have. So, whether it was rape or a consensual boinky-boink, culpability can reasonably be concluded in the court of public opinion. And, as opinions go, that is mine.

    I will miss her hats.

She wore the most fantabulous array of cowboy styled hats …

    Ah, never mind.

  14. HMCS(FMF) ret says:

“The Queen” being held accountable??? Is she playing the ace card about it? Jerry “Jabba the Hutt” NoNads saying that she “voluntarily and temporarily step back.”???? Really?

There is a God… and in the eyes of SJL, he must be an angry White man.

  15. Non Cedo Ferio says:

I’m not gonna pile on her for a personal reason she made sure Shoshana Johnson who is a friend of two friends , was honored by the CBC. By inviting her to Washington to give her an award and to tell her story as a POW. I thought it was a classy move and I’m glad they did it . Whatever ms Jackson lee has done outside of that I know little about. For that one thing they did made a lot of us who lost friends in the 507th mainly feel pretty good. Much the same as when the survivors were honored at the CMA awards.

    • Poetrooper says:

NCF, hate to bust your bubble but when politicians do things like what you just cited, you can be sure their true motivation is to make voters think just like you’re thinking right now–so that you’ll overlook future transgressions.

      • Non Cedo Ferio says:

Point taken Poetrooper. One. Good act cannot cover a multitude of sins. Just because she did Johnson a good turn doesn’t make all she’s done wrong all of a sudden right. Guess I really haven’t paid her much attention in the last 16 years. Good advice bro thanks

  17. 5th/77th FA says:

The epitome of what the swamp creatures look like, and how they act. Just because it was born in Queens NY, does not a Queen make her. 13 terms, wouldn’t that translate to 26 years as a government parasite? That whole entitlement mentality is just sickening. Also atypical of how the socialist have wormed their way into every district in the country. All the way from NY to Texas and had a grip on the seat for 26 years. Thus goes the major metro areas in each state. 50% plus 1 gets the election and once in, and doing the bidding of the plantation owners, they are set for life.

I’m fully with IDC SARC on this. Do away with all of the “organizations” that exist to waste taxpayer money on simply physical attributes…..

What would be the hue and cry if we had a Congressional White Caucus, or Male Caucus, or even Asian, or Native American, or what about a National Association for the Advancement of any other group of people? Drain the swamp!

  18. 26Limabeans says:

I would say she looks like Loretta Lynch but that would be racist.
