Did Violation of Massachusetts’ Gun Storage Law Save Man from Pit Bull Attack?
By: Dean Weingarten

On the 2nd of December, 2018, a 25-year-old man was at home with his girlfriend and a pit bull dog they were fostering. All of them were lying on a bed at about 6 p.m. The dog attacked the man. The man attempted to move the pit bull off of the bed. Instead, the dog bit the man on the left arm, and would not let go. From bostonglobe.com:

In a desperate attempt to end the attack, the man reached for a 9mm handgun he had in his nightstand and shot the dog, police said.

“The single shot stopped the attack and the dog died shortly afterwards,” police said in the statement. “The man is fully licensed to have firearms in Massachusetts.”

The man was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital to be treated for his injuries, police said.

Police took the man’s handgun, a 12-gauge shotgun, and ammunition found in the home “for safekeeping.” The dead pit bull was taken away by Yarmouth animal control officers, police said.

It is unknown if the legal gun owner will be charged in the case.

18-year-old robber dies, was 1 of 2 males found shot in street
By: Staff Reports

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An 18-year-old who was one of two males found shot in a street Thursday night has died, the Marion County Coroner’s Office said Monday.

Deayris Perkins died of multiple gunshot wounds, the coroner said, but his death is not being considered a criminal homicide because Perkins was trying to rob the other male, Officer Genae Cook said Monday night. The other male, who has not been identified, will not be charged because he was firing his gun in self-defense, she said.

Police said Thursday that two males younger than 25 had been found shot and were in critical condition.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called to reported “shots fired” about 9:50 p.m. Thursday in the 3800 block of East 31st Street. The call was upgraded to a “person shot” when a person was observed laying in the street and people with guns were nearby, police said Thursday.

Flared and scalloped magwell, variable scope, full rail. Nice kit.
What is the weapons rack though, not familiar, is it standard issue or some OPMOD nonsense?

“What is the weapons rack though”

Which photo?

Lurker Curt

Referring to the “bolt-ons” the hot blonde is sporting, maybe?

🙂

Nice piece tho…

Roh-Dog

Bingo.

What is the weird thingy hanging off the front of the weapon by the strap?
I am all for patriotism, but why do that to an SBR?

David

SBR means ‘short barreled rifle’ which that is definitely not. Think you may mean MSR, ‘modern sporting rifle’. Have to agree with you, wtf is that thing. And someone could stand to take about a foot outta that sling to make it useful. (Have to admit, neither the rifle nor the silicone blonde push any big buttons for me, but hey, whatever works for you…)

The thingy thing hanging in the front by the strap is called a gizmo doodad and can also be used to hold an 18V UL approved battery operated chainsaw bayonet.

OldManchu

Bet she has a light trigger on any gun she’s holding.

Ex GF lives in the area. Guy is lucky she didn’t bite him.

“Police took the man’s handgun, a 12-gauge shotgun, and ammunition found in the home ‘“for safekeeping.”’ Dahell? By what authority?

Grunt

The authority of the nanny state. They know what’s best for the commoners.

I’m sure that the man himself will also be taken away for “safekeeping” to reflect on his illegal exercise of his Constitutional rights in the sanctity of his own home.

MI Ranger

Grunt, I am sure they meant until the “legally licensed” individual is released from protective custody and can properly store those dangerous gun thingies. Heaven forbid, someone who is not “properly licensed” be in the house where the guns are properly stored while the “properly licensed” individual is not present. They might get attacked by those rabid gun thingies!

OWB

Seriously. How DARE this guy defend himself. It makes soooo much more sense (to idiots) to have his means of defense locked away somewhere, or have no means of defense at all. Yeah. That’s it. Just say “No,” and let the threat kill you.

5th/77th FA

You are only allowed to use rickety bridges, non-floating automobiles, and inland waterways to kill in the PDRofMA. Using this approved method will get you re-elected to high office and lionized for decades.

CCO

Jumpy nerves department: “I don’t want anybody to think that the students or the first officers that responded to the scene overreacted,” said Pender County Sheriff Carson Smith. “It sounded just like gunfire.” See https://www.kinston.com/news/20181109/faulty-equipment-prompts-topsail-high-shooter-fears.

Interesting the fact that the other gun incident was a kid bringing an “AR-15” to school to stop a mass shooter. Do you think someone “SWATed” him?

Don’t tell me let me guess, ID SARC would definitely hit that! I would as well!!!

I got a “gun” she can grab.

Help me I’ve swooned! I ignored your warning.
