Thursday morning feel good stories.

From Brooklyn Center, MN

Every grandma in the history of grandmas has had a policy: Don’t put your cups on my table without a coaster.

Someone just dared to violate that policy. And this is what happened . . .

According to the Minneapolis Tribune, there’s a 75-year-old woman named Helen Washington in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

Earlier this month, her grandson was at her house and drinking some tea. (There’s no word on how old he is, but we do know he’s an adult.)

Well he thought it was a good idea to keep putting his teacup down on her furniture, even when she told him not to. And finally, she was so upset that she grabbed her gun and shot him in the leg.

The cops arrested her for felony assault, but she told them she didn’t think she deserved to go to jail over it.

She’s due in court in December, and she could be facing up to seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine.

Hell, he was warned. According to the local TV station’s account, she poured out his tea after his furniture transgressions. Grandson refilled the tea cup and she shot him in the thigh. Anyone who has ever tried to remove those damn whitish rings from fine wood can readily see that grandma’s shoot was righteous. Nevertheless, for some inexplicable reason, she has been ordered to undergo a psych valuation.

Clearly it is the grandson who should be having the eval. Grandma’s house = Grandma’s rules.

Was thinking the same. Her house, her rules. Don’t like it, there’s the door. Not that difficult to remember or obey.
I think it was a righteous shoot.

All of the above. Don’t piss off old folks. We have no patience and very little left to live for. Probably wasn’t the first time he gave Grandma some lip. Dumbazz.

The grandson should get the FIRST PSYCH evaluation!

Clear case of elder abuse.

I wonder if he spilled blood on her floor.

A woman shoots her husband for stepping on the clean floor.“

A police officer jumps into his squad car and calls the station.

“I have a murder case here,” he says. “A woman shot her husband for stepping on the floor she just mopped.”

“Have you arrested her?” asks the sergeant.

“No, not yet. The floor’s still wet.”

I don’t know. Our grand daughters can get away with murder at “Granna’s house”, the younger they are the more they can skate. In fact, the youngest gets to play with her tea set and other stuff on my treasured inlayed round lacquer top Japanese coffee table purchased at Tachi in 60’s. Something the others were even banned from sitting on. Maybe it changes when they become adults

When she complained about my granddaughter getting away with stuff she did not get away with,I told my daughter that the granddaughter had not done anything wrong yet.

The grandson got off easy. If you wrinkle Helen’s doilies, she aims for center mass…

Too bad that he wasn’t locked up, especially if most of the other inmates actually respect their grandmothers. On the other hand, if he’s hospitalized, the odds are great that there are some grannies among the nursing staff. Hmmm.

Ha, close to home. I retired from a neighboring PD. I can tell you that city is well known for its senseless violence.
