In a somewhat atypical defensive gun use out of Walnut Hill, Florida (yes, it is always Florida), Cordaryl Lewis was pistol-whipped by an anonymous person who found that he had strangled his girlfriend.
According to reports, Lewis and his girlfriend were “arguing about leaving the house they had just bought” when Lewis decided to grab the woman’s throat. He choked her to the point of unconsciousness before an anonymous third party walked in on the scene, saw the woman on the ground and pistol-whipped Lewis in the face. When authorities arrived, they found Lewis bleeding profusely. The woman had sustained injuries consistent with the allegations against Lewis, and the man was arrested and charged with domestic battery by strangulation.
IMHO, there should be warning signs visible from guys who like to abuse women, but when women are desperate to have a man in the domicile, it seems these signs are still missed.

Most fast food joints don’t keep armed security personnel on staff, but this one apparently did – and ten customers have him to thank for potentially saving their lives.
Around 1:00 a.m. in Houston this past week, a man walked into a Whataburger restaurant and opened fire.
“I see a dude in a white bandana pull out a gun like it’s a movie or something, and start shooting behind the counter,” said a witness named Jayvier Green.
Immediately, the security guard took action, firing four shots, all of which hit the suspect in the legs. That’s laudable marksmanship on his part, and police agree.
Well, maybe the gun-nutz customer was unhappy with his bill. Not having eaten anything at a Whataburger, I can’t answer that question, but he obviously had a few issues.

Don’t denigrate the Security Guard for shooting the suspect in the legs (with all four shots), he was likely trying to limit collateral damage.
Why would anyone do that? It’s 4 times as many hits to the target than a member of the NYPD would have. I wrote “to the target” because the NYPD would have hits but to bystanders. The perp, by the way, bled out and expired in Whataburger which, for some reason, strikes me as funny.
I live in South Florida EX, and it’s the water I think so I keep changing my under the kitchen sink water purifer every 2 years and I’ll use less miri lax to cut down on my verbal you know what./Grin.

I’m in a good mood this AM because I did not hear the toaster pop and did not check to see if the toast was done, and pushed the toaster lever down, thereby cooking the toast twice and thoroughly burning it. All I had for breakfast was bacon, nice crispy bacon. Just bacon, no toast. Life is good.
Ahh, bacon, with a side order of bacon. Sounds like a balanced meal to me.

There are. Doo-rag, honor vest, service dog, phony medals, motorcycle, dojo, bling emblazened blazer (triple b), tatooed Seal, Ranger, LRRP, PJ, and trident on the neck,
huge Silver Star ballcap and story for every bit of it.
I just don’t understand how women fall for that crap when there are really nice guys like me to be had.
I hear ya ‘beans, concur 100%. Haven’t you heard, us nice guys always finish last? And like you, I can’t be bought, but I can and have been, had…..Not so much a feel good story as a, “Ladies be aware, dickheads are hiding under every rock” story.
Whataburger’s offerings are fantastic. They beat anyone’s, anywhere, anytime.
But that particular Whataburger is not in the best part of Houston (assuming there are “good” parts of Houston) and, I think, the perp had some grudge with someone in the building at the time.
I don’t know what the target presentation was for the SO when he fired, but 4 hits to the right leg and at least one score, apparently, on the femoral artery is nothing to sneeze at.
#1 shows how effective Buffaloing can be. Even when presumably not done with a full size SAA
