So will Barry pay his taxes now?

| February 21, 2009

The Washington Post reports that Marion Barry, DC’s most famous criminal, underwent kidney transplant surgery last night;

Barry “is doing well,” the transplant specialist who led the operation said through a hospital spokesman. “Everything went well.”

Officials said that a healthy kidney, supplied by a 47 -year-old female donor, had been transplanted and that it appeared to be functioning fine.

His kidney problems were the reason he hasn’t paid his taxes of thel ast nine years, he said last week, so can we expect the 71-year-old to catch up now that he has a 47-year-old kidney? Somehow I don’t think so.

I’ve had a recurring hang nail can skip paying taxes? Geez! I could understand if his accountant had kidney problems but–this is just as stupid as Geitner saying he couldn’t figure out Tax Cut 4 years running! Honest mistake my arse.
