Ukraine making weapons 3X our rate

The Danish Prime Minister says Ukraine, at war, is making more than its share of weaponry.

Speaking on Saturday at the Munich Security Conference, attended by Business Insider, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen warned that Europe must ramp up production efforts going forward, working with the US to do so.

“We have a problem, friends, if a country at war can produce faster than the rest of us,” she said. “I’m not saying we are at wartime, but we cannot say we are at peacetime anymore. So, we need to change our mindset.”

Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Ukraine has ramped up domestic arms production, producing increasing numbers of homemade products such as missiles, howitzers, and drones.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously said that 30% of the military equipment Ukraine used in 2024 was domestically made.

Anyone remember the period before WWII in which we ramped our production by supplying our allies? NATO isn’t there yet.

The widespread use of drones on the battlefield has seen Ukraine become a leader in drone production, with Kyiv saying the country produced more than 1.5 million first-person-view drones in 2024.

Ukraine also said it made 2.5 million mortar and artillery shells from January to November 2024, while the EU said it would make around 2 million artillery shells in 2025.

Mark Rutte, NATO’s Secretary General, has also frequently called on European members of the alliance to boost military spending.

Speaking in Munich, he said the US was “right” to think “we have to step up, we have to spend more.”

He added that both the US and Europe were “not producing nearly enough” and that Russia produces more ammunition in three months than NATO does in a year.

So either Ukraine and Russia are making more than the US and NATO combined. That sounds like we are sitting our collective laurels – or hindsides – while the leaner meaner folks are leaving us in the dirt.

Some countries have already taken big steps toward boosting spending. In 2024, Poland led the alliance in defense spending as a percentage of GDP, with Warsaw investing more than 4% of its economic output in defense.

Lithuania and Estonia have also both pledged to increase their own defense spending to 5% of GDP, saying that while they agreed with Trump’s demands, they were not taking that step solely because of the president but because of Russia’s threat.  Business Insider

Great news for NATO to finally realize the wolf is on their doorstep. Might be better if some of the militarily larger members like the UK and Germany would do the same, but I’m not holding  my breath waiting.

NATO militaries, with the recent exception of Poland, are a complete joke. Literally starved of funds for a generation and absolutely woke top-to-bottom.

Some examples:

The UK has the smallest military since Napoleon.

The Pennsylvania National Guard has more main battle tanks than the ENTIRE German military.

France has no air mobility/transportation capability. They literally had to beg America to move 2,000 troops to Mali.

Up until World War II, the Royal Navy was the dominant naval power in the world. A position they’d held for hundreds of years. Now they have less manpower than our Coast Guard.

It doesn’t matter how much ordnance Europeans manufacture.
They have allowed literally tens of millions of hostile illegal Muslim invaders into their countries.
In one generation, England and Sweden will be Islamic caliphates.
The war against Western Europe will be won without firing a single shot

The late British MP Enoch Powell was warning Britain in 1968 about unfettered migration. His ‘River of Blood’ speech got him fired from his shadow gov’t post and essentially got him canceled from holding any further high office. He was persona non grata among most all of the ruling class in Britain. How right Enoch was.

In more recent times Pat Buchanan’s book ‘Death of the West’ in 2001 earned him scorn among democrats and many republicans. Pat was on target.

Muslim dude taunts a German about it 9 years ago:

And they’ll do (are doing) nothing about it.

The three top European Navies combined (Italy, France and UK) are not even close to the Chinese Navy which now runs a close second to the US. They are all outranked by Indonesia, RoK, India and Japan.

Europe needs to become “woke” in a whole new way. Like; wake the fuck up before you become subjugated by a foreign power because the US isn’t going to be able to protect the whole continent.

The Ukrainians should be producing more weapons despite the war as the country is on war time footing.

For example German aircraft production continued to climb through WWII until September 1944 where it peaked at nearly 3500 planes a month despite extensive Allied bombing. They ran out of pilots though as they were killed off in combat and of course at this point the allies were producing more than 15,000 planes a month.

Gee, Europe stop giving lavish welfare benefits (more than to your own people) to every “migrant” (illegal alien) you let freely arrive by the boatload who and doesn’t care about your countries, and provide for your own defenses like you did before ’39 again. “Nooooo!” right?

Draft the recent migrants to fight in the Ukraine.

Self deporting works.

Odie

You must be this tall to rule Ukraine.

So we help other nations produce weapons that they sell to
us so we can donate them to their war effort. Got it.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal

None of this would have been necessary if Bite-Dumb hadn’t broken a treaty to NOT allow Ukraine into NATO, which got Poot-in all upset about NATO weaponry camped at his border, which started this war (not that it would have taken a lot, everyone was just itching for a fight – oh, and let’s not forget the kickbacks)

Nah – Putin has been planning this for decades – solidified when Russia got laughed out of the room when they requested to join NATO. The real mistake was Ukraine giving up their Nuclear weapons and trusting Russia to honor an agreement.

Sig

Oh – also NATO not meeting their obligations per the agreement to spend a minimum of 2% each year towards defense.

Kinda hard to “ramp up production” when you don’t have the facilities (or the skilled labor force) to do so. It’s also kinda hard to do so when the barbarians are already at the gate. Pre 1940 we were shipping all of our scrap to Japan…and they sent it back to us in the form of ordnance. I think we’re doing the same thing now with Chyna. If it hadn’t been for the scrap drives in early 1942 (and beyond) our steel mills would’ve shut down. I doubt very seriously that we could duplicate the production today of what we did then. I also doubt if the American people want to contribute their treasure or the blood of their sons and daughters to a meatgrinder to “save” the Euro Trash from themselves. Beans and bullets have a way of disappearing fast in a shooting war. Another pro tip…you can’t fight the next war with the tactics and equipment of the last war. Technology tends to defeat “The Art of War” as it evolves. Sky Net…grins.

Lead times on warships are decades now instead of months, so nope.

The Euro-weenies sure like to look down on us while conveniently forgetting that if it weren’t for the USA they’d all be speaking German and saying “Sieg Heil” to a Fuehrer.

Or Russian. “Peter the Great got to Paris,” Stalin said bitterly when the war ended after the Russians took Berlin.

Wars provided clarity of the mind! Both the Ukes and Russkis are motivated. Playing on death ground will do that.

Our concern should be regarding our Navy. When you need a Navy it is probably too late. Scary times are ahead…

Finally, we can start saving more money by not having to send it all over to that money hungry Dictator.
