Mark Allen Brown; phony Marine
Someone sent us their work on Mark Allen Brown in Washington State who has had some legal problems and he applied for welfare benefits for himself. Each time he claimed to be a veteran of the Marine Corps;
According to his records, he spent less than three weeks in the Marine Corps and he received an “Uncharacterized” discharge because of a fraudulent enlistment;
I’m pretty sure he can’t call himself a veteran – he probably didn’t even get issued a uniform.

I run into phony veterans in the VA. Some even panhandle in the cafeteria. I personally know of one poser who claimed Vietnam service as a LRRP with Co. L, 75th Rangers Through persistence he was able to convince the VA to provide care, and $$ benefits. He blew it with me though. I was his employer, and knew his D.O.B. He’d have been 15 at the time he claimed VN service.
Doh.
To make it worse, I worked with Co.L LRRPS. He couldn’t answer a few simple questions about his time with them. That said, he did convince the VA.
The VA is apparently full of incompetents who don’t care whether they are party to a fraudulent crime against real veterans and U.S. taxpayers.
Being a veteran should be a per-requisite to work there. Not that that would weed out all the incompetence, but it’d be a start. At least then the people working there would be vested in seeing the organization succeed.
The VA facility n East Orange, NJ is full of affirmative action employees from Newark in many of the admin. positions, who seem more often than not to be on some sort of power trip and are not only incompetent they are rude to the point of being totally annoying assholes and are obviously not veterans, its so bad that I refuse to go there, plus they also practice reverse racism if you’re not a brutha or a sista. The VA should be hiring only veterans and not filling some asinine gov’t quota.
For those not in the know, Lima Co./75th Inf.(RANGER) was the division LRRP company for the 101st Abn Division in the Viet of the Nam. I can state with a great deal of certainty it had no 15 or 16 year olds on its LRRP teams. Although, a SSG and LRRP team leader on one of the teams in G Co./75th looked to me like he was about 16 years old. But I think then SSG George Beach was about 23 at the time, as he had already served about four years continuously in the Viet of the Nam.
I worked with Co.L from late 69 to early 71. I flew a Cobra out of Quang Tri most of 70. I bet I flew at least a dozen, possibly more, missions with the LRRPs along the DaKrong,in the Khe Sanh/Lang Vei area, and the A Shau. Great guys!
I was in Co.G/75th in Da Nang in 1971. Flew back seat in OV-10’s to locate LRRP insertion LZ’s. We usually used a pair of Cobras to prep several LZ’s and insert on one and fly cover for our insertion slick. On one OV-10 flight, my pilot took me on and over flight of Khe Sanh and the Laotian border, I was fascinated to see the massive dirt road network that was the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
I worked in the Biloxi VA Domiciliary for about 5 years, and I can guarantee you the fraud is rampant. The rules have changed now to prevent some of the abuse that went on when I first started there in ’89. One guy sprained his ankle on the *THIRD DAY* of basic training and had been riding the government gravy train for at least 25 years.
I have a relative that got processed out of basic for a preexisting medical condition that was aggravated by training. She somehow finagled that into disability benefits and a monthly check. SMH

Anyway, a colleague of mine who spent nearly his entire career at Keesler knew of this one gal who spent every single day in sick call for some reason or other. By the time we left the VA, she was up to 80% SC. Sickening.
Hmmmmm. Let me guess what could be next in this heart-wrenching tale of woe.
If previous trends amongst the poser population are any indication of what may lie ahead, I’m gonna bet that shitbird here will end up making a phony claim that he caught a raging, incapacitating case of The PTSD while he was deployed on a highly classified mission ‘in the shit downrange’ while serving as a Scout Sniper in Force Recon, so therefore he is entitled to receive the maximum amount of any and all welfare benefits that are available in perpetuity.

Ya know, an ELS doesn’t have to be the end of the world. I got one for being injured at Parris Island. Lucky for me my DI ( who’ve I’ve been friends with for almost 35 years now) told me not to let this setback kick me in the ass. So I joined the Army later 8 years honorable including Some time iin Iraq. I get it it’s embarrasing. esp for a young person, but I’m one who believes that it takes more guts to say hey I tried and I didn’t make it than to say hey I served. I’m owed something or to ride the phony pony. We can’t define our lives based on failure and setback. At some point you’ve got to look at the man in the mirror and say. I’m accepting this, and I’m moving forward. It’s as much our failures and how we deal with them as It is or successes. That define us. As far as him being a veteran. I’m not so sure though an ELS is honorable for VA purposes. Hope this guy really gets his shit together and stops this nonsense
This isn’t an ELS, he was kicked for fraudulent enlistment. Looks like they don’t want him. RE-3P looks like a physical disability to serve. So he lied about some pre-existing condition (asthma maybe?).

He is closer to the minimum service record of 16 days set by one of the other POSers exposed here. But I bet there is a chronic bed wetter out there somewhere that can even beat that record.

I don’t think I had any idea which way the main gate was for the first 16 days! Impressive. The door didn’t come close to hitting him on the way out.
Ditto for me for the first 16 days of IOBC at the Benning School for Wayward Boys. IIRC we only got Sundays off and half of it was needed to study and prepare gear for Monday. One doesn’t have much time off when the Army tries to turn one into an infantry officer in five weeks.
I’m sure his service would have been shorter had it not been for his arriving at boot the 15th of Dec. All that block leave and holidays prevented him from being sent home sooner.
Their was a guy from Oklahoma when I went thru USAF BMT in our flight who came on like he was a special gift to the AF because he was some sort of HS football hero (maybe he scored 4 td’s in a game or something) wannabe cowboy type loaner, just didn’t get the team concept plus he brown nosed the DI, but by the 3rd week he was weeping for his mommy and daddy in his bunk every night…he was eventually removed from the flight and was never seen again. I guess he crashed and burned.
It’s always the “high school studs” that seem to have a problem adapting to the group concept. They were the first to run up to the quarterdeck on Training Day 1 when the Drill Instructors called for everyone wanting to go home to come forward. Hack still recalls Private Murray wailing that he wanted to go home. Big dude, big pussy. He tried to walk off of Parris Island. Made it as far as the MP shack.
The bed wetter I’m gonna go with. Even the fatties and unmotivated back in the day were sent to Physical Conditioning Platoon (PCP) to eat ice cream, watch John Wayne movies and get some exercise to get them into shape to hopefully get back into another boot platoon. Didn’t always work, but at least they tried. You are never called a Marine until you graduate from boot camp, PERIOD! A fraudulent enlistment is perpetrated by a FRAUD and
