Tuesday morning feel good stories
From Worcester, Massachusetts;
When the homeowner saw the man walk into his yard, he said he got a handgun and went outside to confront him, police said. While escorting the man off his property, witnesses said they heard the man threaten to shoot the homeowner and reach for his waistband, prompting him to open fire.
The man who was shot, later identified as Zackery Bailey, was taken to the hospital with two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. While at the hospital, officers found out that Bailey had an outstanding arrest warrant for his arrest on a breaking and entering charge.
The homeowner, who is a licensed gun owner, was interviewed at police headquarters and treated at the hospital for injuries sustained in the fight.
From Sterling Heights, Michigan;
According to police, the victim had arrived home from work and let his dog outside to relieve itself when he was approached by an unknown man who stuck a gun in his face.
The intruder forced the man back into the house. When the two were inside, the intruder struck the man in the face with the gun.
Police said the intruder then grabbed a pillow case and stuffed it with several of the victim’s items, including jewelry and a cell phone. He also grabbed the victim’s car keys and went outside toward the victim’s Jeep.
The victim, who police said has a license to carry a concealed pistol, ran to his closet to retrieve his handgun.
As the intruder fled in the victim’s Jeep, the victim fired several shots, striking the vehicle. One of the gunshots crashed through another resident’s bedroom window, but the occupant was not struck.
The bloodied victim received medical attention for minor injuries.

It’s May 1st, ol’ Daniel-san’s favorite day. How favorite? Well, the last thing he was heard saying was May Day! May Day!
All week. Veal. Tip Waitress.
Ol’ Dan, failing at being outstanding at anything he did all his life, to the end. He couldn’t even set a record for low altitude flight, because he chose to crash into the pine trees which kept him from, “auguring in”. Betweentreetop and ground level, his 352 MPH flight was slowed and resembled a feather wafting to earth, having taken the impact in the Conifers. By why didn’t he go “Full Bernath” and take a buddy with him?
My only guess is because it was a plane and not a cLoWn CaR
Opportunity missed- think how many cLoWnS he could have taken with him, and made the world an even better place.
“I am a leaf in the wind….”
NOT!
Here are two more “feel good” stories, of a somewhat differnet nature:
Man versus nature:

This brought a tear to my eye:

“Worcester, Massachusetts”
You spelled heroin wrong.
This is your brain….
This is your brain on Massachusetts…..
I wonder what the odds are of a goblin running into a CCW holder in the Soviet of Mass. What, one in ten thousand, one in twenty five thousand? Except for cops and a few armed security guards I thought Massachusetts was a disarmed socialist utopia.
I thought it was “Massivetwoshits” but I may have been misinformed.
I’ll never forget the PCS to Maine with the family in my POV, and the sign- “Entering Massachusetts, mandatory five year prison sentence for possession of handguns.” with my 1911 cocked and locked under my seat.
In that situation, it’s best to drive straight through, do not stop except for gas. Do not stop for meals, overnight, or even bathroom breaks.
Believe me, I was Right Lane Larry the whole way through, at a stately 56 MPH.
BTDT, used to have to transit Mass. en route to in-laws…of course, we never ever took a handgun. Usually a 1911 short rifle though.
That being said, unless Michigan law is unusual, I would expect the shooter may be charged. Does not sound like he was in imminent danger when he opened fire.
Coyotes in New York City… nothing is off limits to those scavenging little hairy beasts.
Time to start hunting them again. Maybe they’ll got to Deerfield, IL. I believe guns are not allowed there.
I remember reading an article about 50 years back which mentioned how their territory was spreading and a few had been spotted as far east as Ohio!
They are in the Raleigh Durham area of NC.
And further east.
They’ve been spotted in my pea patch, Ex, which is basically the ass end of the PDRofMD.
You can hunt them at night in Maine.
David is right
The Michigan shoot is a bad shoot
You are forbidden to shoot at a fleeing criminal who is not threatening you
You cannot shoot someone just for stealing your car
You are also responsible for every round sent downrange
One shot hit a neighbors bedroom window
It is Just good luck that no neighbors were hit
It’s negligent discharge of a firearm at the least
