More Sporkmaster photos

| February 15, 2009

I’ve asked Sporkmaster, who is currently stationed in Iraq to share more of his photos with us. He’s graciously agreed and in my initial brief perusal of his collection, I pared out some of the evidence that our troops continue to terrorize the population (of course, I kid);

The guys who make it all possible;

Thanks to Sporkmaster and I promise I’ll have more as the weeks go on. Anyone else out there who want to share photos with us, please do – nothing makes me happier than having readers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Of course, I’ll have my own source soon – my son called last week to say he’s been tapped for a tour in Iraq.

Thanks SM for the photos, they are delightful!

Ohhhhhh, the humanity! What are doing to those poor folks over there. What do we do? Aim shotguns at them and order them to look friendly? CNN sez we are terrorizing them, and Jon Carry says that we are as well. Murtha has educated us by telling us how those durned Marines are murderers, killing in cold blood. Those poor people must be peeing in their pants, having to fake such good feelings. Thanks for the expose there Sporkmaster. And a thanks for your service. We do appreciate you, no matter what the libs, and losers say. Long live Bushcheneyhitlerburton!

No problem, I would be interested to know where the Air Force does its training for their medics and what do they do. I know that there is a general plan for all of the medical community training to be done a Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio (My home), but I never have met a Air Force medic in person before to ask.

But I have to give major thanks to my wife who helped me figure out how to unlock those photos that I put on friend only. Also it seems that Myspace made some changes to that is its easier to upload photos now.

Sporkmaster,

Thanks for the pics. My son has sent word of a forthcoming deployment for his unit as well.

Best,

Sporkmaster

What branch is he in?

UpNorth

To add to what Jonn and Tim have said, my son is deploying to Afghanistan sometime in the spring. Thanks for your photos Sporkmaster, and thanks for your service.

Spork, the BRAC indeed combined all medical training at Ft Sam for all services….IIRC.

Sporkmaster,

My son’s airborne infantry. Have someone from TAH shoot you my email addy if you like. I don’t feel comfortable posting units and stuff online, Opsec and all that.

This isn’t the NYT, after all… 🙂

No problem, that would be cool to see. I would not be surprised to be seeing Afghanistan myself in the next year or so.

Where are the photos of the civilians youve shot at?

Sporkmaster

In your imagination, I have two case,(one direct and one indirect over coms) where we received fire/observed possible hostile intent and did not return fire because we could not positively ID the target with the risk of civilians casualties.
