Monday morning feel good stories
From Oakland, California;
A couple from Texas saw that a car had crashed into a tree and they stopped to help.
That’s when police say a man from the wrecked car pulled out a shotgun and tried to rob the Good Samaritans.
The victim stabbed the suspect with a pocket knife, after the two men go into a fight.
You can even hear the suspect moaning, as police spoke to their dispatchers, “We’ve got heavy, possible arterial bleeding, trying to cut off his clothes right now,” said the dispatcher. “It’s going to be a 245. The suspect is the guy who got stabbed. He shot at the victim and I guess one of the victims was able to stab him.”
From St Albans, West Virginia;
Police say the suspect reportedly stabbed the homeowner and demanded money.
The homeowner advised the suspect that he had no money and the suspect left the residence.
The homeowner had previously met the suspect and identified him as Jimmy Hoffman.
As a responding Deputy approached Winfield Road at the intersection of Swan’s Lane, they located a male that matched the description of the suspect provided by the homeowner.
Deputies attempted to speak to the male, and the male became confrontational, demanding that the Deputy shoot him.
Hoffman refused to comply with the instructions given by the Deputy, and kept his hand in a pocket acting as if he had a weapon.
Officers were forced to deploy less lethal “bean bag” rounds, which struck the suspect.
Mr. Hoffman then complied, and was taken into custody.
Victor James Hoffman is being charged with burglary, robbery, and assault during the commission of a felony.

Looks like a MENSA member and an all round good citizen. Those mean, old cops shot him with a bean bag, in the FACE!!!!! LMAO!!!!
We would NEVER shoot anyone in the face/head with a ‘beanie.’ It is quite obvious that, being non-compliant, that he ducked as the round was being fired towards his upper chest and you see the end result. Yeah, that’s what happened… That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
The perp tripped on the jailhouse steps. Nothing to see here, Citizen, move along.

As a retired Oakland PD officer, a 245 is the Penal Code section for: Assault w/a Deadly weapon, AKA ADW.

So much for the old saying “a knife to a gunfight”. Sounds like the perp needs some range time.
The perp can’t even win when he has a shotgun to the victim’s pocket knife.
I don’t know what the Texas boy was carrying in the way of pocket knives, but most of my compadres in the Great State of Texas don’t tote pen knives.

Easy to cut seat-belts if I ever have to pull someone else out of another burning car.
We’re not allowed to have those in Massachusetts. After all, they are sharp. Sharpness is not allowed in the Bay State.

The Deputy complied just not with the right amount of lead.
Is it true that George Foreman punches with more force than a bean bag shotgun?
The bean bag impact seems to have brought Hoffman to his senses. If George had hit him, he’d have been knocked senseless.
Will take your word for it. That’s one of a long list of things I really don’t want to experience first hand.
Or maybe two things…
