Ukraine Counts Chem-Bio Coup

LTG Igor Anatolyevich Kirillov

A top Russian general is killed in a Moscow bombing claimed by Ukraine

A senior Russian general was killed Tuesday by a bomb hidden in a scooter outside his apartment building in Moscow, a day after Ukraine’s security service leveled criminal charges against him. A Ukrainian official said the service carried out the attack.

Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov, the chief of the military’s nuclear, biological and chemical protection forces, was killed as he left for his office. Kirillov’s assistant also died in the attack.

Kirillov, 54, was under sanctions from several countries, including the U.K. and Canada, for his actions in Moscow’s war in Ukraine. On Monday, Ukraine’s Security Service, or SBU, opened a criminal investigation against him, accusing him of directing the use of banned chemical weapons.

An official with the SBU said the agency was behind the attack. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information, described Kirillov as a “war criminal and an entirely legitimate target.”

Since Russia invaded, several prominent figures have been killed in targeted attacks believed to have been carried out by Ukraine.

AP News

Kirillov is the most senior Russian military official to be killed in Moscow since Putin’s invasion of Ukraine nearly three years ago. He was leading radioactive chemical and biological defense troops known as the RKhBZ. These forces are trained to operate under conditions of NBC contamination and are tasked with protecting ground forces operating in such extreme conditions.

A day before the attack, he was sentenced by Ukrainian prosecutors in absentia with the alleged use of banned chemical weapons in Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine said. Swift justice?

For the record a LTG in the Russian military is a two-star rank.

So is trump going to fold to Putin and give him what he wants ????
Or is he going to take all of the restrictions off of the arms we have given Ukraine so they can fight unrestricted warfare like the Russian have been against Ukraine ??
Just wondering

2banana

How about wondering about some peace instead of WWIII over one of the most corrupt countries in the world run by a tyrant?

Skippy

I’d love to see Russia and Ukraine get blown off the map but nether one has the balls to do it

Vlad lost on day 3, when the coup-de-main failed. Then lost again on week 3 when they could not overwhelm a much smaller military.

Vlad’s only way to win is to persuade useful folks in the West to make Ukraine quit, thus granting Putin an unearned win.

So what if Ukraine is “corrupt”? We are saints? Which countries are not “corrupt”? How much corruption is “ok”?

Putin tried to conquer a neighbor. If he wins, he does it again as soon as he thinks he can. The world goes back to armed conquest as a default. -That- is WW3. China will likely try for Taiwan as soon as Putin starts the victory parade. -That- wrecks the global economy in semiconductors and CPUs.

Ouch.

We, and the world, have an opportunity to put a stop to this shit where it now is. The Ukies seem willing. Just keep feeding them the stuff they need. Russia stuck that “help the opposition” up our ass for 80 years. Payback is … poetic.

Not in our interest for Russia to go back to Conquistador. But neocons and the endless-war MICe of both sides want a resurgent Russian empire. Because highly lucrative.

Offer, again, NATO to-Russia-, as part of a regional deal.

Then we all can figure out how to run the CCP off a cliff into ruin and dissolution. The CCP which is a main enemy and objective.

“We, and the world, have an opportunity to put a stop to this shit where it now is”

Really? Israel in Syria, Gaza and Lebanon? Turkey in Syria? Azerbaijan in Armenia? Indonesia in Timor? Etc.

The chickenhawks “veterans” on this board, willing to risk WWIII and kill thousands of America soldiers over a corrupt to the bone tyrant that has nothing to do with America is sickening.

Slow Joe

I refuse to sink any more treasure into that corrupt country. At least half of it is being stolen by the Uke leadership.
My offer would be Crimea to Russia and Ukraine into NATO. That would stop the madness.
It would be even better if Trump managed to get a deal without Ukraine joining NATO.

A sneaky move would be to get Ukraine into NATO and then we get out of NATO, replacing it with bilateral agreements with individual European countries. That would teach the EU and force them to pay for their defense.

However, then we risk creating a future enemy in the EU, as their values are increasingly differing from ours. They seem to be all about high taxation, big government, and limiting individual rights.

3D chess is so hard!

Russia into NATO kinda ends their security threat from the West. Came up briefly after the Soviet Union fell apart. A huge missed opportunity.

Russia faces population collapse and being eaten to death by various non-west neighbors. They have sqandered a whole generation on this current madness. But if it’s suicide by faild conquest they want, best do so in Ukraine than a wider war that nets much the same.

But Putins minions will bleat endlessly that the West has to hand him a win by abandoning Ukraine, and when he still fails, as he already has, he’ll demand -we- stop them from resisting.

They lost. Madness to prop up Russia as some sort of “winner”. Ukraine isn’t any more corrupt than most of the other assholes we have as associates. And Biden regime ain’t saints, so “corruption” is meaningless.

The Ukies fight. Which is why putin lost. Which is why he needs his foreign lackeys to save his ass.

At least half of it is being stolen by the Uke leadership.”.. Don’t forget that 10% for the big guy..

Mark L.

As long as Biden is killing Muslims and Russians, I’m fine with him getting some kickbacks. And I’m fine with Trump getting the same benefit when we start sending U.S. troops to help Netanyahu out when he takes office.

Mark L.

We don’t send them cash, we mostly send them weapons and I am perfectly fine with those weapons being used to kill Russians instead of sitting in mothballs in U.S. military storage.

Old tanker

That kinda describes both sides there Sparky. Just saying.

Mark L.

Fewer people are dying in wars today than at any other time during recorded history. This IS peace.

KoB

Cue up “Queen”…”Another One Bites The Dust.” Now…did the ‘kraines do this or did Vlad? Hell who knows anymore.

SFC D

Not Vlad’s usual style of RIFing his generals. They tend to fall from windows after they fall from grace.

2banana

Ha. Lol. So funny.

No sad faces when this happens in Fayetteville to American generals by a “Houthi.”

Mark L.

No one is stupid enough to try to kill an American general on U.S. soil because unlike Russia and their empty threats, we’ll level the country of whoever tries it here.

Fyrfighter

just ask FDNY… they run lots of that shit.. and last two fires I investigated were caused by lithium ion batteries…

26Limabeans

What a disgusting goul. Fitting the bomb was left in a scooter.

11B-Mailclerk

Someone really scooted in his stool.

Hack Stone

This is what happens when you hire Thomas Bolling of Ambassador Worldwide Protection Agency as your bodyguard.

No laboratories in Hell, Igor. Watch your hump on the way down.

This dude was investigating CIA biolabs..

Fyrfighter

Hmm….curiouser and curiouser..

Skippy

Russian propaganda

Fyrfighter

Maybe… Given the close ties the biden crime family has with Ukraine, and the lengths that Fauci went to to break the law involving the Wuhan lab, it’s not hard to believe there were other instances..

11B-Mailclerk

They are in China, not Ukraine. CIA goes low-bidder.

Fyrfighter

But if the big guy was involved, it’s all about the 10%…

Mark L.

Doing a pretty shitty job considering he’s been investigating them for almost three years now and has nothing to show for it. Maybe his replacement will be less incompetent.

2banana

Well, as long as there are no sad faces when Houthis do the same to NATO Generals, in their home countries, with some Russian “help.”

11B-Mailclerk

A war where no one under O-7 / GOFO is targeted…

Be still my heart.

2banana

Justice? Words have meaning so be careful what you ask for.

I have seen zero evidence of any “chemicals” being used by the Russians in Ukraine except for grenades equipped with CS and other riot control type irritants.

“A day before the attack, he was sentenced by Ukrainian prosecutors in absentia with the alleged use of banned chemical weapons in Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine said. Swift justice?”

Skippy

Evidence????
where is your evidence
let’s see it
what I’ve seen so far out of this conflict
is brutality from both sides that’s off the wall
the so called bio labs I keep hearing about but no evidence, the Russians can on;y blame themselves
for the chemical weapons tag
and yes the Ukraine is corrupt as hell

2banana

Let me explain how this works.

You accuse someone of doing something really really bad with a death penalty, YOU need to PRESENT some pretty hard and objective evidence.

If there is NO EVIDENCE, maybe not go down that road… Because it will used against you.

Skippy

That being said Russia isn’t or shouldn’t be our enemy
and I’m fed up with anything Ukraine

11B-Mailclerk

Dude, the treaties haven’t changed significantly since the 80s.

CS and CN are -prohibited- choking agents undervthr Law of War. There is a carve-out for use in -training-, and for civilian LEO use. They -cannot- be used, offensively or defensively, by an Army We were told in training that tossing CS on a battlefield against a uniformed enemy was an epic no-no.

Russia got cute, got caught, and got paid back by reprisal.

2banana

I will still waiting for prosecutions for use of CS at Waco.

timactual

We used an awful lot of CS in Vietnam. I guess that makes me a war criminal, just like Jane Fonda and John Kerry said.
