Andrew McCabe FIRED!
Fox News and American Thinker are reporting President Trump called Andrew McCabe a ‘choirboy’ as he lauded the former acting FBI Director’s firing, suggesting multiple federal reports show “corruption at the highest level.”
“Andrew McCabe FIRED, a great day for the hard working men and women of the FBI – A great day for Democracy. Sanctimonious James Comey was his boss and made McCabe look like a choirboy. He knew all about the lies and corruption going on at the highest levels of the FBI!”
McCabe was fired days before he would have been eligible for a pension estimated to be worth $1.8M, after it was determined that he lied to investigators reviewing the bureau’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s email server.
McCabe also faces the very real possibility of Federal charges being levied against him. Attorney General Sessions specifically noted that he “lacked candor under oath,” the FBI’s euphemism for lying. There is a US attorney in Little Rock on the case, according to a Session’s comment, a possible precursor to a Grand Jury investigation.
Sessions stated,
After an extensive and fair investigation and according to Department of Justice procedure, the Department’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) provided its report on allegations of misconduct by Andrew McCabe to the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).
The FBI’s OPR then reviewed the report and underlying documents and issued a disciplinary proposal recommending the dismissal of Mr. McCabe. Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor ? including under oath ? on multiple occasions.
The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability. As the OPR proposal stated, ‘all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal and that our integrity is our brand.’
Pursuant to Department Order 1202, and based on the report of the Inspector General, the findings of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility, and the recommendation of the Department’s senior career official, I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately.”
Surprising no one, McCabe fired back, blaming the Trump administration in general and Trump’s tweets specifically.
“The President’s tweets have amplified and exacerbated it all. He called for my firing. He called for me to be stripped of my pension after more than 20 years of service. And all along we have said nothing, never wanting to distract from the mission of the FBI by addressing the lies told and repeated about us. No more.”
McCabe will certainly appeal his dismissal, but given the nature of the offenses he’ll have a difficult time prevailing in court; lower level agents have been fired for much less. Had he been subject to the UCMJ, the list of charges could have looked something like this:
Article 81- Conspiracy
Article 92- Failure to obey order or regulation
Article 107- False official statements
Article 131- Perjury
Article 135-34- Obstruction of justice
Hmmm, that laundry list looks worthy of reduction in rate to E-1, loss of all pay and allowances, brig time, and a Big Chicken Dinner to me. The Left is of course shocked and appalled at this so called vicious, politically motivated firing, and are howling again for Trump’s impeachment. Good luck with that.

Just heard that there are several government agencies that will hire him.. He only has to stay at the next place for a day to get his retirement.. Probably will stay for a pay period, but he will still get it.. His “firing” was just for the media..
I believe legally he’d have to stay for one year probationary time if it is a GS position. However, he’d just be marking time and basically be R.O.A.D. I agree with you that in the end it will be just a stunt. However, I do hope he feels enough pressure that he begins to spill the beans on the others involved in this conspiracy.

I’m not big on Trump , but I’ll say this , the administration had every right to fire him esp in light of the damaging OPR report. Agents have lost their careers for far less and being in a position of authority does not mean favorable treatment or exemptions because of who you are. If the OPR concluded nothing was wrong and he got fired. You could argue politics. But this isn’t the case.
I would like to see the OPR report.
The Republican HIC report made various allegations that weren’t backed up by the Democrat HIC report. In this McCabe incident, so far we’re just hearing one side of the story.
If he really fucked up bad, then absolutely, he deserved to be fired. If he didn’t, as he claims, then this was a political move, and someone else has some explaining to do.

I think it’s entirely possible, but in an era when everything is political -and let’s be honest, Trump has been after McCabe for a while now- I just want to see the evidence and hear both sides. I have no bias towards or against McCabe – as I said, if he truly did display a ‘lack of candor’ (eg, lie) to investigators, then the firing was the right call.
What puzzles me is that the incident he’s in trouble for -having people talk to the media about the Clinton investigation, and then allegedly omitting information about that to investigators- is contradicted by his claims that Comey was on board with it, which would’ve made it legitimate to do in his position, so why would he lie about it?
It’s also strange (in my opinion, mind you) that people are calling him part of some secret Democrat corruption at the FBI, when the actions in question were harmful to the Clinton campaign, and he’s also a registered Republican. If the guy screwed the pooch by intentionally misleading investigators, he deserved to be fire. But if he didn’t, and, as he claims, he corrected any ambiguity after the fact in his testimony, I’m inclined to feel some sympathy for a guy who devoted his entire career to law enforcement.
Like most news these days, I think it’ll take a while to see what the truth really is.

One might also say certain politically-minded folks have been after Trump, and got red handed by their own texts.
When federal law enforcement agents start seeing as their job to “protect” the country from the voice of voters, that crosses -way- outside the boundaries of a representative republic, and becomes a sort of praetoean guard.

This office is headed by career Justice Department official Candace Will, whom then-FBI Director Robert Mueller appointed to lead the OPR in 2004. In another case of “lack of candor”, the OPR recommended firing of an FBI agent who misrepresented the number of times he picked up his toddler from daycare in an FBI vehicle. His firing was upheld by court.

As I understand civil service rules, he won’t even have to do that. The speeded up the termination process and my money says he will prevail, get back pay and full retirement. They always get in a rush for headlines not thinking about the landmines. Reward the guilty and punish the innocent.

Is there a federal statute which precludes employees (and former employees) from gaining from their criminal activity? I’m sure he’s quite well practiced in deniability, but the investigation was an internal affair by other people, and had nothing to do with the White House. You’ll notice that Comey has become the Invisible Man, as have several other people. I’d guess that McCabe will be out of public viewing as well.

Comey WAS invisible until just now. He’s suddenly everywhere, selling his book, which he already says contradicts McCabe. Yeah, one liar calling another liar a liar isn’t news worthy.
Will never forget Comey’s news conference – the one where he itemized, point by point, every element of multiple crimes committed by the Queen of Graft, then concludes that in spite of all that, there will be no criminal charges filed.
I did wonder if that would happen, because it was very predictable.
Well, this should get deeper and deeper and for most of the summer, one can only it will occupy the attention of those with short attention span deficit disorder.

It sounds like Poopy McCabe would like to believe otherwise, but he won’t get others to do so.
If anyone has “tainted” the FBI, that would be Mueller, Comey and McCabe. Crying about what happened won’t change that fact.

Having worked with many of the amazing FBI agents in my military career, I have been stunned by what has been exposed by so many of their leadership. McCabe should be just the beginning and my guess is he is such a weasel he will begin singing against many of his counterparts.
Unfortunately, he will still receive his retirement; though not immediately. He will have to wait until he is 57. Poor bastard who should be jailed; just like Martha Stewart for doing far less.

In addition to those, I must admit to enjoying the hell out of the new “Magnificent Seven.” The original was a pillar of my upbringing, and I approached the remake with caution, but he filled Yul Brynner’s boots remarkably well.

Justice will not be served until Hillary is brought to face charges on her violation of her signed NDA. Clinton and her staff signed an SF312 NDA form by law. Within that form the individual signs they are advised of violations under the United States criminal laws that Sections 641, 793, 794, 798, 952, and most importantly to Clinton, 1924 under Title 18, United States Code, the provisions of Section 783(b), Title 50, and the Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982. Per Section 1924 unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents shall be fined under this title or imprisonment for not more than one year or both.
Furthermore it states if two or more persons conspire to violate these regulations, the act will in effect be a conspiracy. Under the “Sanctions and Reporting” dictates one shall face up to fines, imprisonment, and possibly death.

No reason to know, but I highly doubt that the Queen signed anything which could remotely hold her responsible for anything. Even if she accidently did so nothing stops her from doing or not doing whatever she wants to do or not do whenever she wants to do it or not do it with whomever she wishes to do it in front of whomever she wishes to view it. I don’t recall if they found she signed one at the end of her reign, but she did sign one at the beginning of her tenure.

I attended a closed high level government meeting just before 2016 election. McCabe was guest speaker. First thing he did was joke a Hillary’s server and then he said he would not take any questions about it. No one in the room thought it was a funny topic to joke about. In fact afterwards the talk was … “what the hell was that about”.
In hindsight, that is rather a big red flag, eh?
McCabe claims to have notes of meetings with Trump. Trump says he never observed McCabe taking notes.
McCabe either wrote them later, which would have to be disclosed to use them inlitigation, or he was recording the conversations, which would be a major no-no without certain paperwork.
McCabe may be in multiple world’s of kim-chee.
Are we supposed to believe that it is odd to have notes from meetings with one’s bosses? Really? Hasn’t everyone who ever had a meeting with their boss taken some notes to remind them later what they are supposed to report back on, projects expected to be initiated, and all sorts of other topics? Whether the notes are taken during the meeting or immediately following depends upon the wishes of the boss.
It makes a yuge difference if he took them contemporaneous to the meeting, or later from memory. If it was “much later” then one might reasonably conclude they are inaccurate.
When I circulate notes from meetings I attend, I always flag anything I add after the meeting as “from memory” or “my paraphrase” or “comments added afterward”.
I scribble on my note pad to stay awake and look like I’m interested.
Which I’m not, usually.
