Andrew McCabe FIRED!

| March 17, 2018

fbi logo

Fox News and American Thinker are reporting President Trump called Andrew McCabe a ‘choirboy’ as he lauded the former acting FBI Director’s firing, suggesting multiple federal reports show “corruption at the highest level.”

“Andrew McCabe FIRED, a great day for the hard working men and women of the FBI – A great day for Democracy. Sanctimonious James Comey was his boss and made McCabe look like a choirboy. He knew all about the lies and corruption going on at the highest levels of the FBI!”

McCabe was fired days before he would have been eligible for a pension estimated to be worth $1.8M, after it was determined that he lied to investigators reviewing the bureau’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s email server.

McCabe also faces the very real possibility of Federal charges being levied against him. Attorney General Sessions specifically noted that he “lacked candor under oath,” the FBI’s euphemism for lying. There is a US attorney in Little Rock on the case, according to a Session’s comment, a possible precursor to a Grand Jury investigation.

Sessions stated,

After an extensive and fair investigation and according to Department of Justice procedure, the Department’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) provided its report on allegations of misconduct by Andrew McCabe to the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).

The FBI’s OPR then reviewed the report and underlying documents and issued a disciplinary proposal recommending the dismissal of Mr. McCabe. Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor ? including under oath ? on multiple occasions.

The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability. As the OPR proposal stated, ‘all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal and that our integrity is our brand.’

Pursuant to Department Order 1202, and based on the report of the Inspector General, the findings of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility, and the recommendation of the Department’s senior career official, I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately.”

Surprising no one, McCabe fired back, blaming the Trump administration in general and Trump’s tweets specifically.

“The President’s tweets have amplified and exacerbated it all. He called for my firing. He called for me to be stripped of my pension after more than 20 years of service. And all along we have said nothing, never wanting to distract from the mission of the FBI by addressing the lies told and repeated about us. No more.”

McCabe will certainly appeal his dismissal, but given the nature of the offenses he’ll have a difficult time prevailing in court; lower level agents have been fired for much less. Had he been subject to the UCMJ, the list of charges could have looked something like this:

Article 81- Conspiracy
Article 92- Failure to obey order or regulation
Article 107- False official statements
Article 131- Perjury
Article 135-34- Obstruction of justice

Hmmm, that laundry list looks worthy of reduction in rate to E-1, loss of all pay and allowances, brig time, and a Big Chicken Dinner to me. The Left is of course shocked and appalled at this so called vicious, politically motivated firing, and are howling again for Trump’s impeachment. Good luck with that.

SO when will he be arrested and charged? Or just firing him, losing his retirement over stuff that he hasn’t been charged and found guilty of, good enough.

Always thought that charges needed to be filed and the person needed to be found guilty before you could be fired for something..

Garold

Greetings Sarge, unfortunately he won’t actually lose his retirement. He instead has to wait seven years to receive it at age 57.

Tallywhagger

Amen.

An Old Arty Sgt

Just heard that there are several government agencies that will hire him.. He only has to stay at the next place for a day to get his retirement.. Probably will stay for a pay period, but he will still get it.. His “firing” was just for the media..

Garold

I believe legally he’d have to stay for one year probationary time if it is a GS position. However, he’d just be marking time and basically be R.O.A.D. I agree with you that in the end it will be just a stunt. However, I do hope he feels enough pressure that he begins to spill the beans on the others involved in this conspiracy.

Nice article.

I wonder what he knows about the Vegas shooting. Investigative bodies were/are the Las Vegas police and the FBI…hmmm…who’d be in charge?

If their final report states only one shooter (as it is likely to) there will be calls for a thorough investigation.

Yes AW1ED, I too appreciated your post.

I never thought this day would come. It is a relief to finally see some form of justice over what the true collusion has been about and at least some sort of justice meted out thus far. I’m hoping this is only the beginning. I’ve been following this closely since Hillary was unduly exonerated.

HMCS(FMF) ret

AW1Ed – very good job with the story… BZ

Non Cedo Ferio

I’m not big on Trump , but I’ll say this , the administration had every right to fire him esp in light of the damaging OPR report. Agents have lost their careers for far less and being in a position of authority does not mean favorable treatment or exemptions because of who you are. If the OPR concluded nothing was wrong and he got fired. You could argue politics. But this isn’t the case.

LC

I would like to see the OPR report.

The Republican HIC report made various allegations that weren’t backed up by the Democrat HIC report. In this McCabe incident, so far we’re just hearing one side of the story.

If he really fucked up bad, then absolutely, he deserved to be fired. If he didn’t, as he claims, then this was a political move, and someone else has some explaining to do.

LC

I think it’s entirely possible, but in an era when everything is political -and let’s be honest, Trump has been after McCabe for a while now- I just want to see the evidence and hear both sides. I have no bias towards or against McCabe – as I said, if he truly did display a ‘lack of candor’ (eg, lie) to investigators, then the firing was the right call.

What puzzles me is that the incident he’s in trouble for -having people talk to the media about the Clinton investigation, and then allegedly omitting information about that to investigators- is contradicted by his claims that Comey was on board with it, which would’ve made it legitimate to do in his position, so why would he lie about it?

It’s also strange (in my opinion, mind you) that people are calling him part of some secret Democrat corruption at the FBI, when the actions in question were harmful to the Clinton campaign, and he’s also a registered Republican. If the guy screwed the pooch by intentionally misleading investigators, he deserved to be fire. But if he didn’t, and, as he claims, he corrected any ambiguity after the fact in his testimony, I’m inclined to feel some sympathy for a guy who devoted his entire career to law enforcement.

Like most news these days, I think it’ll take a while to see what the truth really is.

11B-Mailclerk

One might also say certain politically-minded folks have been after Trump, and got red handed by their own texts.

When federal law enforcement agents start seeing as their job to “protect” the country from the voice of voters, that crosses -way- outside the boundaries of a representative republic, and becomes a sort of praetoean guard.

The FBI had better clean out these idiots, or there is likely to be a mess of epic proportions.

Good start…now nail the stinking clintons et al!!

Berliner

Found this tidbit elsewhere:
“After investigating McCabe, Horowitz’s office provided a report on McCabe’s conduct to the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), which investigates allegations of misconduct against bureau employees. This office is headed by career Justice Department official Candace Will, whom then-FBI Director Robert Mueller appointed to lead the OPR in 2004. According to Sessions, the Office of Professional Responsibility agreed with Horowitz’s assessment that McCabe “lacked candor” in speaking to internal investigators.”

In another case of “lack of candor”, the OPR recommended firing of an FBI agent who misrepresented the number of times he picked up his toddler from daycare in an FBI vehicle. His firing was upheld by court.

Grunt

It’s the lie that’ll get you. Saw that play out plenty of times. Guys who could have taken a reprimand or a slap on the wrist ended up getting shit canned because they lied about it.

Ex-PH2

Any bets on how long he lasts before his sudden and mysterious demise?

Wasn’t there a movie about this a while back?

Here’s a title for a good Ludlum or Follett novel: In Darkest Night. Or would a Le Carre novel be a better, more subtle way to go? And they still haven’t figured out where Jimmy Hoffa has been encased in cement.

The cynic in me says he’ll judge shop and win full benefits via some Moonbat judge that hates Trump. It’s pretty weird they would wait until the last hours to get rid of him and then not immoderately prosecute him. This might be all for show I’m not overly enthusiastic that things are changing over at the Federal Democrat Spy Agency. There are two others that were essentially caught in sedition against the President. And also bragging how they have judges in on it as well. Nothing happened to Colmey, and Mueller’s bullshit has no end in sight.

Still no real consequences for serious crimes committed.

Club Manager, USA ret.

As I understand civil service rules, he won’t even have to do that. The speeded up the termination process and my money says he will prevail, get back pay and full retirement. They always get in a rush for headlines not thinking about the landmines. The termination process is not badda-boom, badda-bing. it is long and drawn out, of course unless he shot a supervisor, then it would still be long and drawn out. Reward the guilty and punish the innocent.

jonp

I’m not so sure about his fighting very hard. He will not only make more money as victim of Trump, if he goes to court everything that he did will be out in the open and that will lead to a lot of questions about everything else. Open a can of worms so to speak. Notice that for all of the whining and Sturm Und Drang Comey has not sued for defamation of character.

MSG Eric

I concur with this. I’d say he has to worry about them throwing down and charging him with crimes if he wants to “fight” his firing.

It’s not like he has Barry or Hillary to back him up right now, so it’s a tough call.

I’m guessing the IG report has a crapton more info on his situation that isn’t so favorable to him, nor to others he was colluding with.

It might very well be a, “go away, mad or not, but if you want to fight it, we’ll be happy to charge you with one of many violations of federal law.”

Ex-PH2

Yes, but Trump didn’t fire McCabe. His department did.

Trump simply posted a twitteremark about it, otherwise, he’s not connected to it. So McCabe going after Trump for losing his job and possibly his pension would simply make him look stupid.

Used to think that only jail time was satisfactory in cases like this. But, there is something to be said for denying a thug like this a bundle of retirement money and letting him feed and clothe himself instead of us paying for it. Yep, I can live with this outcome.

The rest of them should do time. Perhaps he will facilitate that for us? Doubtful, but it could happen.

Is there a federal statute which precludes employees (and former employees) from gaining from their criminal activity? If so, that could be invoked to reverse their humongous retirement incomes after they are found guilty of their dirty deeds. Maybe even earnings from book sales. That would be very sweet.

No! The penalty for treason by a commoner was hanging. Beheading was reserved for the nobility. The Tower of London was used as the place of execution for nobles while common folk were hanged at Tyburn prison or the gibbet on the London docks. Hangings were open to the public while dates with the headsman were by invitation only.

Looks like McCabe is getting job offers for the current election cycle so that he’ll qualify for his full pension. Does not say he’s taken any of them so far.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2018/03/17/andrew-mccabe-was-just-offered-a-job-by-a-congressman-so-he-can-get-his-full-retirement-and-it-just-might-work/

Here’s the real issue: he’s a confirmed liar (re: shrillary) and has fewer morals than an intact male llama, so when or if he is charged with something, is that ever going to be public? This guy is a scumbag. he could have been a bagman for the Mob. So why is that less important than his getting his pension?
IF he was in cahoots with The Them to bring down the legitimate government of this country, which is what it seems to me was going on, does he not have enough freaking sense to realize that he’d be one of the first to be whacked by a dictator?

A Proud Infidel®™

Regardless of the facts you post Ex-PH2, I’m sure that McCabe and many a slimy politician will soon be all over the bandwaves screeching and bawling about what a ruthless Persecutor and Inquisitor President Trump is, what a threat he is to our way of life, Dictator, yada, yada, yada…

Ex-PH2

Oh, McCabe has already started that ‘Not me! Not me! Not my fault!’ stuff, API. It was on the news briefly last night.

His face is a very passive mask with zero emotions showing, just as happened a few years ago with that interviewing session about Benghazi with some other person whose name shall not be mentioned. I’m sure he’s quite well practiced in deniability, but the investigation was an internal affair by other people, and had nothing to do with the White House. You’ll notice that Comey has become the Invisible Man, as have several other people. I’d guess that McCabe will be out of public viewing as well.

If they are all cronies, as I’m sure they are, then you’d have to ask what they thought it would profit them to misbehave the way they did?

Remember, Comey started an investigation of shrillary before bodaprez had left the premises and then suddenly switched gears. So who put the thumb screws on him?

I think this only took as long as it did because the people gathering evidence to get McCabe dismissed were no longer under veiled threats and wanted to be thorough.

Spring is here! A robin is right outside my window, inspecting the tree branches for a nesting site!

OWB

Comey WAS invisible until just now. He’s suddenly everywhere, selling his book, which he already says contradicts McCabe. Yeah, one liar calling another liar a liar isn’t news worthy.

Will never forget Comey’s news conference – the one where he itemized, point by point, every element of multiple crimes committed by the Queen of Graft, then concludes that in spite of all that, there will be no criminal charges filed.

Ex-PH2

I did wonder if that would happen, because it was very predictable.

Well, this should get deeper and deeper and for most of the summer, one can only it will occupy the attention of those with short attention span deficit disorder.

Gee, I know that the whole Watergate mess was an eon ago and that most people now don’t understand anything about it, but is it even remotely possible that this might make Watergate business look like the work of amateurs?

One can only hope. Perhaps this will echo down the Halls of History….

2/17 Air Cav

“This attack on my credibility is one part of a larger effort not just to slander me personally, but to taint the FBI, law enforcement, and intelligence professionals more generally,” McCabe said.

McCabe needs to have his diaper changed. First, it was the FBI’s own Office of Professional Responsibility that recommended Poopy McCabe’s firing. One can guess that the FBI stinks from within and that office is happily interested in airing the place out. Second, neither law enforcement nor intelligence professionals are tainted by the FBI’s political antics. It sounds like Poopy McCabe would like to believe otherwise, but he won’t get others to do so.

UpNorth

If anyone has “tainted” the FBI, that would be Mueller, Comey and McCabe. Crying about what happened won’t change that fact.

Justice will not be served until Hillary is brought to face charges on her violation of her signed NDA. Clinton and her staff signed an SF312 NDA form by law. Within that form the individual signs they are advised of violations under the United States criminal laws that Sections 641, 793, 794, 798, 952, and most importantly to Clinton, 1924 under Title 18, United States Code, the provisions of Section 783(b), Title 50, and the Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982. Per Section 1924 unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents shall be fined under this title or imprisonment for not more than one year or both.

Furthermore it states if two or more persons conspire to violate these regulations, the act will in effect be a conspiracy. Under the “Sanctions and Reporting” dictates one shall face up to fines, imprisonment, and possibly death.

11B-Mailclerk

Has anyone produced that document yet?

No reason to know, but I highly doubt that the Queen signed anything which could remotely hold her responsible for anything. Even if she accidently did so nothing stops her from doing or not doing whatever she wants to do or not do whenever she wants to do it or not do it with whomever she wishes to do it in front of whomever she wishes to view it. All at someone elses expense, of course.

MSG Eric

I don’t recall if they found she signed one at the end of her reign, but she did sign one at the beginning of her tenure.

Regardless of a finishing NDA, she signed one at the start and there’s no way around that. The final one is just SOP which she should’ve followed, but then she does whatever she wants and if you don’t like that, you might find you wanna shoot yourself in the back of the head in a dark alley you’ve never been to.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

I attended a closed high level government meeting just before 2016 election. McCabe was guest speaker. First thing he did was joke a Hillary’s server and then he said he would not take any questions about it. No one in the room thought it was a funny topic to joke about. In fact afterwards the talk was … “what the hell was that about”.

11B-Mailclerk

In hindsight, that is rather a big red flag, eh?

11B-Mailclerk

McCabe claims to have notes of meetings with Trump. Trump says he never observed McCabe taking notes.

McCabe either wrote them later, which would have to be disclosed to use them inlitigation, or he was recording the conversations, which would be a major no-no without certain paperwork.

McCabe may be in multiple world’s of kim-chee.

OWB

Are we supposed to believe that it is odd to have notes from meetings with one’s bosses? Really? Hasn’t everyone who ever had a meeting with their boss taken some notes to remind them later what they are supposed to report back on, projects expected to be initiated, and all sorts of other topics? Whether the notes are taken during the meeting or immediately following depends upon the wishes of the boss.

11B-Mailclerk

It makes a yuge difference if he took them contemporaneous to the meeting, or later from memory. If it was “much later” then one might reasonably conclude they are inaccurate.

When I circulate notes from meetings I attend, I always flag anything I add after the meeting as “from memory” or “my paraphrase” or “comments added afterward”.
