Screw bipartisanship

| February 10, 2009

For the last 15 years, all we’ve heard is the Democrats demanding that every bit of legislation be “bi-partisan” – that the Republican majority allow Democrats to craft bills and policy. Of course, instead of being “bi-partisan” the Democrats instead just voted ‘no’ on everything. Now it’s their turn to be ‘bi-partisan’ and it just ain’t hap’nin’. So the hyperpartisan Eugene Robinson at the Washington Post (sorry, I’m not linking to the boob’s column) says suddenly “That’s OK.”

Robinson goes on to write;

The House of Representatives loaded up the bill like a Christmas tree as powerful Democrats found room for their pet projects. This was a good thing, not an outrage. Hundreds of millions of dollars for contraceptives? To the extent that those condoms or birth-control pills are made in the United States and sold in U.S. drugstores, that spending would be stimulative in more ways than one.
[…]
Obama and the Democrats have public opinion on their side and the wolf at the door. Republicans need to get out of the way — or get run over.

Bipartisanship in action. of course, Robinson’s toxic rhetoric whips the WaPo readers up into a frenzy;

Yeah, we should be loyal like the democrats were in regards to our national security the last eight years (plus, actually).

Yeah, even the Democrats’ own CBO says it won’t work, so you’d better be ready to accept blame for the failures, Dieterman.

Please be specific as to what foreign policy “failures” you’re talking about. More than likely it only includes the fact that no one likes us because because we don’t fly in bags of money.

I hope the voters DO remember who opposed this bloated crap.

No class warfare here, huh?

No more Bush Derangement Syndrome – just simple derangement with Eugene Robinson at the helm of this ship of fools.

Interesting take on history from the colossal intellect that is the left wing “truth squad”. I’m especially fond of ElectricBill’s contention that Republicans are stalling so they can assume power and continue dismantling the government. I suppose that was the hidden agenda when the Bush Administration crafted the TSA and DHS…what a devilishly clever plan, bloating the government so they can eventually take it down. Or when they tossed out the perscription drug program…clearly a Rovian plot to kill senior citizens, who we all know vote for Democrats. Yes, I recall fondly all of the unemployed Washington bureaucrats endlessly crying about how Republicans crossed off the Education Department, defunded the Dept of Energy and completely privatized the Postal Service. Glorious times indeed. Dumbasses.

No class warfare here, huh?

I think that we all knew that the “One” and the Democrats in the majority in Congress would wage class warfare. Now that the elections are over, there’s no more need for the “Hope and Change” veneer and it’s going to get nasty folks! Time to hunker down, fight against what we could and hope there’s something left of a Constitutional Republic for us to regain in the 2012 elections.

Never underestimate just how diabolical Booooooooshitler was. I am pretty sure he’s gonna declare martial law and repudiate the election any day now.

Any day now…

Jonn, I think it had more to do with the Clinton Admin and Congress at that time, deciding that ALL AMERICANS should have a home of their own and Bilzy signed the legislation negating a law that was designed to regulate lending in 1930 that started the mess, then add that dipstick Barney Frank and it spells disaster! Unlike what the commenting idiot, left-wing F#cktards think. That just blows me away that anyone is the stupid, let alone so many!!!
