Anthony Woodridge and Chicago justice
Anthony Woodridge, a twenty-five year old from Chicago, Illinois was out on parole since June after serving a 4 1/2 year sentence for felony handgun possession. He’s been arrested 15 times and he has four felony convictions as an adult. On Wednesday, he fired another handgun at a Chicago police officer, striking him in the hand. When the officer fell to the ground, Woodridge continued to fire at the officer. When the gunsmoke cleared, another bullet was found lodged in the officer’s protective vest.
From the Chicago Tribune;
“I can’t find the words to articulate to you all how this upsets me because, listen, this officer could’ve easily gotten killed last night,” [Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson] told reporters outside Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. “And I’ve told you all before, it’s not my goal to have mass incarceration or to lock everybody up, but these violent offenders, they don’t deserve to be on the streets of this city.”

I do wish that the judges releasing these violent criminals were required to provide them lodging in their own homes. Then they might think twice about releasing someone early who had a record including multiple felony convictions.
Or remove Qualified Immunity for them so they could be prosecuted and/or sued for, say, criminal negligence or the like.

I find it sad that the left is always attempting to pass more laws making it harder for the law abiding to get guns, but will not prosecute to the fullest those felons that violate the gun laws.
in the mind of a leftist (I know, not much to work with there), this man is simply a victim of the racial and societal oppression that is designed to hold him down. Therefore, he is not to be considered in any way responsible for attacking people.
Besides, the cop, as a an authority figure defending the oppressors, is nothing more than a target and should understand that he is fair game when the oppressed “woke”.
In case you believe that the mountains of empirical evidence disproves this idiotic concept, you must realize that your facts are also products of a racist society and research based on the intersectional deconstruction of your racist society would be different because “feelings”.

Well, that’s the Party Line intended for public consumption.
In actuality, the Left’s leadership desires control – that would be total, absolute control over every aspect of your life – with them in charge. They will stop at nothing to attain this goal.
Widespread firearms ownership by citizens makes attaining this goal difficult. However, repeated firearms crimes allow them to argue for greater “gun control” – with an ultimate end objective of confiscation. This would then allow the government, led by the Left, to impose the level of control they desire.
Actually and effectively enforcing existing firearms laws would be counterproductive to this agenda. Thus, it doesn’t happen.
And if one looks at history, it’s obvious that the Left has had no difficulty in obtaining any number desired of well-meaning willful dupes to assist them in obtaining their aims. The Soviets even had a name for such dupes. The best known translation of the Soviet term is “useful idiot” (though “useful fool” is likely a more accurate translation). The term Fellow Traveler was also used.
For the Left, it’s not about guns. The real agenda is control – ultimate, complete control – over people’s lives.

Making firearm ownership harder for law-abiding citizens is like taking cars away from sober drivers because of drunk ones. WTF good will more laws do when the current ones ARE NOT enforced, but here at TAH®™ I’m preaching to the proverbial choir!

2012 April 8 Theft. 1 year
2014 August 27. Aggravated Fleeing w Contraband. 1 year.
It would appear he got parole because less than a year later.
2015 March 23. Felon in Possession of weapon. 4 years, 6 months.
Released early on June 23rd of this year. You would think that breaking parole once would disqualify someone from getting it again.
2017 September 15 Driving on a revoked license, No registration, no insurance. $2000 bond. This probably didn’t revoke his parole since he hasn’t gone to court for these charges.

I think we need to have a national “Take A Cop Shooting” day and teach them what guns are for, how they work, how to use them and how to shoot to kill. Maybe we just go on PoliceOne.com and propose the idea. They are always looking for better training ideas.
Unfortunately, many cops are not firearm afficionados. They only shoot when they have to, to stay qualified. Sort of like many soldiers who only rarely and barely qualify on the range.

The bill that passed the House was not National Concealed Carry.
It was merely a bill that made all CCW licenses “reciprocal” in all states.
You still have to follow the laws of the state you are in, no mater how crazy they may be.
Besides the Senate will not approve their version of this bill.
So if it is a CCW that’s “reciprocal” in all states, what does it actually do if it isn’t a “National” CCW?

And Dorsey HS – was a rough school back in the 70’s (along with Long Beach Poly).
Strangely enough, That LA MEPS was shut down in 2009 and we were able to scrounge up their furniture so we actually had some for my unit there.
They had a few nice pieces of furniture at least.
Chicago is the most violent, lawless city in these here United States – and guess what political party is in charge and has been for many decades. Chicago should ceeded to Canada, if they would take it.

Why not just make the sonovabitch DOT and do a favor for society at the same time. WAR STORY ALERT: When I was a kid growing up in New Yawk City, if you shot a cop they killed you, plain and simple. One felon shot a cop and made it to Chicago where he was caught and returned to New Yawk. He was shot several times, in the back, while escaping at LaGuadia Airport shortly after deplaining, in handcuffs, in the custody of two cops. Granted that was in the early or mid 50’s and with the current New Yawk City mayor they would probably put the cop who got shot in jail, but the policy was a deterrent in the good old days.
I blame Woodridge and people like him on Rahmbo, the halfwit sitting in the mayor’s seat. An election is coming up. He has some competition. I hope he loses.
Unfortunately, his replacement won’t be any better and possibly worse.
