Sunday morning feel good stories
From Durham, North Carolina;
Police said a homeowner told them someone tried to kick in his front door and then reached through a broken window to open the door, so he opened fire.
A 16-year-old female suspect and a 16-year-old male suspect were both shot. At least one of the robbers was believed to be armed, said police.
Both suspects were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A second female suspect, 17-year-old Alexis Shaw, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary. She was also arrested on prior warrants charging her with burglary, conspiracy, and felony larceny in connection with a Nov. 10 burglary near Nichols Farm Drive. She was placed in Durham County Jail under a $510,000 bond.
From Montgomery, Alabama;
The police department is conducting a death investigation after Danny Williams, 42, was fatally shot during the burglary in the 100 block of West South Boulevard, according to a news release from MPD.
About 10:30 p.m. police found Williams inside the home with the gunshot wound, and he was taken to Baptist Medical Center South where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators believe Williams forcibly entered the residence and was shot when someone who lives there returned home and located Williams inside. The occupant of the home was not injured.
From Denison, Texas;
The clerk reported a male entered the store and pointed his hand toward the victim as if he was pointing a weapon at him and demanded the money.
The clerk grabbed a bat and chased the suspect out of the store, without the suspect getting any money.
During the investigation, a possible suspect was identified and was stopped by Sherman Police in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
The suspect was arrested by Sherman Police on charges unrelated to the robbery.

Re the Texas story: Knife hands don’t work in a robbery. You’re likely to get a little oak, maple or ash wisdom stick therapy upside the head when you try that.
Five total perps, two wounded and in the hospital awaiting arrest upon release, one on a slab, two others enjoying breakfast at the BTJT or Big Bertha’s Deli, all in all a good day at the plate.
I LIKE the Alabama story. Whatever really went on inside the house, make sure yours is the only story told.
And in Montgomery Alabama, the world is a more peaceful place…….now.
Yep.
