Bergdahl trusts the Taliban more than the Army

| October 22, 2017

According to Fox News, Bowe Bergdahl, admitted deserter and absconder, told a British newspaper, that he trusts the Taliban more than he trusts the Army;

“At least the Taliban were honest enough to say, ‘I’m the guy who’s gonna cut your throat,’ ” Bergdahl tells British TV journalist Sean Langan in an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine of London headlined “The Homecoming from Hell.”

Langan, too, is a former Taliban hostage.

Bergdahl, 31, from Hailey, Idaho, says he never quite knew where he stood with the Army as he performed “administrative duties” while awaiting his desertion trial.

“Here, it could be the guy I pass in the corridor who’s going to sign the paper that sends me away for life,’’ he says. “We may as well go back to kangaroo courts and lynch mobs.”

Yeah, well, at least you know that the fellow you pass in the corridor isn’t going to saw your head off for the entertainment of his pals. You know you’re going to prison for the things you did, not because you’re from Idaho. Does it really matter who puts you away? You did it and you must be punished, live with the consequences of your selfish actions and quit bitchin’ about it.

Then send his tratior ass back ! I’ll buy the ticket

Ret_25X

no need…planes are flying over the AO daily…just drop him in the vicinity.

Perhaps strapped to a JDAM…

desert

Send some “honest” guy to him and say “I am the one that is going to put the noose around your neck and pull the lever”!!

STSC(SW/SS)

Well since you trust them more than the Army may I suggest we return you to the Taliban. There they can bone you for awhile before they cut your head off. The extra bonus is American people won’t have to put up with your bullshit and have to pay for your incarceration.

Just eat shit and die already.

Alberich

Of course, if the guy who passes you in the hallway looks at you funny, or says “I hope you get 35 years for this,” or any other bad thing…and particularly if that person is leadership…Bergdahl and his lawyers will immediately let up a squawk, and demand relief for improper bias or unlawful command influence or improper pretrial punishment or something of that nature.

Instead, the leadership doubtless gave the right orders–which are to leave him alone, treat him normally, and let the trial process take its course. It speaks very well of the Army that, as much as people do and should despite Bergdahl, they have exercised self-control and avoided giving him any “ammunition” to reduce his punishment.

Since everyone did follow the rules, whether they were seething about them or not, naturally Bergdahl bitches about that. Judging by the comments I see on his case at TAH, he would not do so well under the “dark alley” rules he seems to prefer.

Alberich

err, do and should despise Bergdahl…

Sapper3307

Poor little thing.
Can The judge give him a free helicopter ride?

CPT11A

The reason the Taliban can tell you who’s going to execute you is because power is centralized in one group of people. Judge, jury, and executioner are the same. Which, funny enough, is pretty much exactly the way a lynch mob works.

The reason the US Army cannot just straight up inform you of your fate, casually in the corridor, is because your fate is distributed across hundreds of people. Sure, right now it’s in the hands of one judge, but he’s following sentencing guidelines written by other people. After that, different groups of people are going to transport you, guard you, feed you, and even review your appeals for release. There is no one LTC who can smile at you in passing and say, “oh, by the way, tomorrow at dawn, I’m going to shoot your ass.”

OWB

He doesn’t seem to have learned anything about claiming responsibility for his actions does he? No real surprise there, hence his need for close supervision in a controlled environment.

Whatever. Tired of hearing about this traitor.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

If living with the taliban were so great, then why did the asshole leave them. Maybe he can be an msnbc contributor from prison. Speaking about msnbc, and how they hate this country and the Military, I’m supprised that they didn’t jump up and cheer when we lost the 4 Green Berets.

MSG Eric

He left them because they got a better deal for him than they could’ve ever imagined. Of course they gave him back.

Yef

Yeah. 5 generals for a private?

Only a community organizer could come up with something like this.

If the definition of traitor is aiding and abetting the enemy, who is the greater traitor?

Ex-PH2

Why is this piece of monitor lizard dung getting attention from the media?

Oh, that’s a rhetorical question. Never mind.

Why don’t the media slobs just get into a circle jerk with this useless piece of flesh and have done with it? I’m sick of him and his attention whoring crap. He is a worthless, useless empty jar.

Reb

🖕wrong..a jar can be reused. Buttplug is worthless as the day is long, Bernath, Dallassclown, Crybaby, et al🖕🖕

Guard Bum

I was at Camp Lejeune when Robert Garwood came back from Viet Nam and was pending a CM for similar charges and we were all told to shun him. I saw him several times (oldest PFC on base) and no one would even speak to him.

Warning to everyone though, we all expected Garwood to get at least 20 years but that didnt happen and I sure hope the same doesnt happen with this traitor.

JacktheJarhead

I was at Cherry Point when he came back and I thought he should have been hung. I was even going through my liberal phase at that point and I still thought he was a traitor.

Garwood and Bergdahl are scum. Side note, he can’t go back, the cameras recorded his captors telling him, If he came back he was dead. So, yeah, Taliban/Haqqani Network, nice guys.

Guard Bum

Yup, they are both scum.

My youngest son was born at Cherry Point when I was the S1 for H$MS-32. What an awesome place. I even lived in base housing for a year or so and had an apartment in an old converted barracks that was really a fantastic place of about 1500 sq feet. Right on the river, could walk to the club and golf course, we had block parties, and everything was just laid back.

Sorry for the reminisce…but I wish I could do it all again!

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

Just read above post on Robert Garwood, the name sounding familiar, so I left the TAH site and googled the name and I then remembered the story when it hit the news back then.

Berliner

Bergdahl probably missed being the center of attention as the Bacha bazi dancer for his Taliban boy friends/”captors”.

MSG Eric

Maybe Manning will give up some of his “hard earned” funds to give Bergdahl a civilian lawyer since he doesn’t trust the Army, which would include his lawyer.

Alberich

Bergdahl’s chief defense counsel (Eugene Fidell) is a civilian, though he is a Coast Guard veteran.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Bowe knows the joy of being the fat bottomed boy…

26Limabeans

POS would complain the noose is too tight.

tc

“You did it and you must be punished, live with the consequences of your selfish actions and quit bitchin’ about it.”

That quote can be used quite often these days…

What??? my actions (or FB posts, or tweets, or etc) have consequences???

A Proud Infidel®™

I sometimes wonder how often Bergdahl took it up the ass on man-love Thursday when he was in captivity?

HMCS(FMF) ret

Everyday was man-love Thursday for Bowe….

11B-Mailclerk

Ever listen to a battered and abused wife defending her tormentor husband?

it sounds very similar to the quoted shitbag.

OldManchu

Who does he think he is? Jane Fonda?

timactual

“…says he never quite knew where he stood with the Army…”

The guy is even dumber than I thought.

rgr769

Where he stood (before he deserted to join the enemy) was as a worthless POS who could not be counted on to do his job on a COP. He decided his Bn Commander was deficient only after receiving his Art. 15 for refusing to wear his body armor when required. He should be traded to the Taliban (after he get’s sentenced) for someone we give a shit about, then they can give him the end he was promised and so richly deserves.

Mason

No $hit!

The military is the one place in my entire life that I can firmly say I knew where I stood. They put these little stripes and bars and such on your uniform so that not only do you know, but so does everybody else!

He liked the Taliban so much, wonder if he’s going to go back when he gets paroled from Leavenworth?

Lily

Trump said we should drop him off with ISIS. Looks like he was right.

RM3(SS)

Waaahh waaah, “I’m guilty but it’s just not fair!”
AMF, your 15 minutes are up, time to go away for a long long while.

CM

Why did the military remove corporal punishment again? I mean, seriously… this issue should be done already and this traitor coward fuck should either be back in the desert with those scumbags or in the ground. Sick of being even keeled about this clown. His decision got good men killed… fuck him…

Alberich

Why did the military remove corporal punishment again? I mean, seriously…

We abolished flogging early in the Civil War, to encourage more volunteers.

‘course a character like this would have gotten capital punishment in the old days…but the Supreme Court has done so much to make the death penalty both difficult and expensive, that the military almost never uses it.

Lily

I’m looking forward to a disappointment. I won’t be surprised if Berghdal gets less than 20 years. If he gets more than that’s good but let’s not get our hopes up.

SFC D

I’m really hoping you’re wrong on this. I’d love nothing more than to have Berghdal die in prison as an old man. I doubt he’ll even do 20.

NHSparky

When does this shitbag get sentenced?

Rosalee

Had he been anyone else he would have been awarded DD, forfeiture of pay, and Leavenworth by a board.
Given he was, and no doubt still is, Barry’s fair haired boy, it turned into a three ring circus.
He’s flapping his jaw now to anyone who will listen trusting that it will all impact on the judge
(Bergdahl is too much of a coward to face a board)

Bill Bennett

Poor ole Bowe, the bowser that bit the hand that fed him. Awwwwww. Poor dumb son-of-a- . No wonder you trust the Taliban more than the army—you did not bite them when they got you, you helped them. Have I got it wrong?

PFM

Maybe he can visit the Obama Library for a hug on his way to Leavenworth.

Just An Old Dog

Today ( Monday) is when he gets sentenced. Can’t wait to hear it.

Ex-PH2

Ditto.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

Good move future E-1 (with all pay and allowance forfeited) … Referring to the Judge who is about to sentence you as the leader of a “kangaroo court”.

Let’s see how this all worked out today.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

Correction:

He won’t be an E-1 … he will be an USDB INMATE!

Stephen McCartney

Ever see his folks ? No wonder he’s a “principle and standards -deficient” loser. The Army was probably the first place he heard anything resembling boundaries of behaviour and expectations on a 24/7 basis.

Raising a child of poor character at least ought to be a misdemeanor and they should get charged and fined !
