In the Dust
In India, women working in a brick kiln are covered with dust. As urbanization in India yields more buildings, the demand for bricks is high. Workers often face harrowing conditions, 18-hour days, and low pay.
Oh, yeah, Mr Bernath has been moved to Hampton Roads Regional Jail, called Virgina’s largest mental hospital by the Daily Press

First!
Suck it up losers, I triumph again!!
I once again proclaim that the Retired SGM is first solely for the reason that a retired SGM is always first–and that baseless assertion clinches the argument.
Second.
Good Job Chip! I have to let my F5 key cool off now!! It was smoking!
And shave the hair off the palms of your hands while you’re at it!
Where is everybody? Are you all asleep at the wheel??
Dude,
That’s two in a row.
*IF* you can pull it again next Friday you will tie me for the WOT Threepeat, Three-in-a-row.
GO FOR IT!!
I can only dream of tying your WOT record? I just hope the nausea from the chemo lets up a little bit next week!
Don’t mean to throw a bucket of water on anybody’s happy dance, but based on the entries in the Coveted Book of Firsts, today’s First! by Wilted Willy doesn’t make two in a row by him.
“Firsts” on the 13 Oct 2017 WOT were all time stamped the same (2:17 pm) and were entered in this order:
Graybeard, then CWO5USMC, then OAECPOUSNRet.
“So let it be written, so let it be done.”
Fist?
6th?
Nope; 3rd!
Wilted Willy: TAH WOT Gold Medal
ChipNASA: TAH WOT Silver Medal
Mick: TAH WOT Bronze Medal
“Oh, yeah, Mr Bernath has been moved to Hampton Roads Regional Jail, called Virgina’s largest mental hospital by the Daily Press.”
I just read that article and I think I PEED MYSELF a LITTLE!!
SCHADENFREUDE!!!!!!!
What a turd! They asked him how his stay was and he said, Depends!!
And the chinless wonder still has his beard. What a shame.
But he’s in Virginia’s biggest boobyhatch. Heh. I hope he’s able to keep himself busy.
There is a balance in the force. I can feel it.
I have a sparce grey beard too
Dammit!!!
Posting that without a *SPEW* Alert was more than just a bit off-sides.
I just honked so loud when I read that that I scared the neighbors and spilled my ice-cold bottle of Yoo-Hoo at the same time.
Well-played!
I do apologize…as I said before I am the one organ of the many that constitute my life support system that is not malignant…and the new prison barber shaped me a quite dashing goatee!
I hear that the new digs has its own BTJT deli…true?
What a shame. Hope SHoRtBUsrIdErSLUrrp’er drops by and pays a visit and they lock him up too.
Wonder if Mrs 89963 has packed her shit and left yet?
Sj, As of today, he has a new number: 42265.
I’ll always know him as 89963. /smile
👌👍😎
Can he be known as The Inmate Formerly Known As 89963?
I like that.
Can’t find him on lookup, but it might take a day or two to update. It’s a pretty rough place. The worst of the worst in the area. I bet his fun meter is pegged.
Yup.
He’s gonna regret whatever he did to get himself moved from the Chesapeake jail over to Hampton Roads Regional Jail in Portsmouth.
There are some VERY bad people in there with him in Portsmouth.
Are you saying he may wonder what he’s gotten himself into?
Ex-PH2:
To steal/modify a line from Inspector Highland in the film ‘Patriot Games’:
‘He’s now in the darkest hole in the entire Hampton Roads area.’
I suspected he might be having a change of heart, but from something below that Jonn aluded to, he’s still (allegedly) fk’ing up from inside. So, I dunno. He’s proving to be an extremely unstable and potentially dangerous person.
You mean that he may actually start realizing how big a mistake he has made?
When Reality hits him in the face like a brick wall, he may, just may, start to get a clue.
It’s there at Vinelink already. That is how I disvovered his new #.
42265 née 89963?
New facility, new number. He won’t show up on a search for a while. Maybe by Monday. I tried looking him up first from the main page, the commissary link, and then the iCare link. You know you can order the dick a HAMBURGER complete with a soda chips and a cookie for like 15 bucks. (I won’t be)
Wonder if the Commissary has “Bag of Dicks” available?
If so, I’m all in for ordering a few dozen for Inmate #42265/89963.
Over.
Make sure yo send ONLY the sugar free variety to ‘ol #42265/89963…
“He hunched over as soon as the Judge ordered…” 😀 😀
((((OVER))))
CWORet: Please go to Vinelink..his new info is already posted.
As Mick said, he picked the wrong area of VA to do dumb things. Am very familiar with the Hampton Roads area. Not a day goes by when one watches the news and another murder/shoofing/robbery has taken place, similiar to Chicago. And sadly, the majority of those involved are all Scrabble names.
Graybeard, yes, that is his new #. Please go to Vinelink…you will find him.
I was trying to make a lame joke to the effect that Danni-boi had to change his number due to having a new husband.
I’ll go back to my corner now.
Got it!
And please come out of your corner…we need you at TAH…you are a valuable asset!
Dan looks good in orange. He should wear it as long as possible.
Sounds like it’s very likely that he will indeed.
Looks like he will be, if what Jonn posted is the case… and I’m guessing that he thinks he “WINNING”.
He’ll never learn and admit he’s a liar.
Prison Orange is really his color.
Orange is the new Bernath.
Why does he look so unhappy? Did somebody steal his shoes?
Just his laces
May his time in lockup be as nice to him as he has been to so many others.
I see that the TAH page has been updated.
May he enjoy his accommodations to their fullest.
damn! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND YA’LL!!
Hampton Roads Regional Jail:
‘The jail where Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Chesapeake send their most difficult inmates houses men and women with AIDS, tuberculosis, kidney failure, records of extreme violence, pregnancy while under treatment for addiction and other conditions.
It also houses those with severe mental illness, and is therefore — in effect — the state’s largest mental hospital.’
Mick: Am guessing that something must have happened in Chesapeake that they moved him to Portsmouth..or perhaps that was the intent on the previous court dates.
He does not look too happy in his pic. In fact, he looks worn down.
Too bad. So sad.
More like worn out.
Or, broken in.. 😂
I look like the nozzle on a spent Saturn 5 rocket booster
It’s the look of a man that’s been sleeping with one eye open for a while… and lost
At least, when he gets out of the can, he can regale the boys at the VFW/AL about his Battle of the Bunghole Strait, when he fought off 1500 inmates in a “rear guard” action….
And lost.
I wonder if he’s started giving up his chow time desserts for “protection”?
I wonder if an entertainment sites such as TMZ would be interested that a former “star” of Portlandia has fallen so far. I wonder if he’s not Arizona for his new buddies…
I think they scrubbed him from their list of characters.
Dang – they must be medicating him. He looks much calmer than usual in that pic.
Semi-serious inquiry here. Has anyone else noticed that Trump Derangement Disorder is creeping into pulp fiction? Just noticed it from a couple of authors I have read for years who seem to be suffering from it and their latest books are much darker than their earlier ones. Very odd in comparison.
Oh, that is also called Grimdark fiction, I think. It reflects reality but frequently borders on the authors’ fantasies.
Understood, PH, but what I am noticing is in other genres, what heretofore had been extremely light works of fiction, what I call my beach literature. Nothing fantastical or other worldly, although it may have infected that genre as well.
Just noticed it the past couple of weeks, in brand new books in series which could have gone to press after the election, by very popular authors whose titles would be pushed through in a hurry.
Will keep an eye open for more of it. Hope they prove me wrong, though. Would hate to have to give up some of these authors.
Well, it could be that they were disappointed with the election results and their disappointment is reflected in their novels.
If so, they’ll get over it.
Dunno. Lately I’ve been on a run of reading all the works of the noir mystery writers Raymond Chandler and Ross MacDonald. If those two got any darker, their books would probably emit anti-matter…
Heard rumor his jail nickname is “Skidmark”
Ha ha…so funny…it’s actually “mudslide” if you really must know
TOP 25 !!!!!!!!!
25rd.
Kept doing the refresh thing and finally the lure of barbecued chicken an home-made mashed potatoes drew me away… think I go the better end of that deal.
Picture at the top kinda reminds me of sanding sheet rock mud doing the hurricane sheetrock patch-up… damn house will need a professional cleaning by the time I’m done.
Who is Mr. Bernath?
Someone explain.
LOL 10/10.
He goes around dispensing Bernath bucks so people can buy new rides, guns, cigars, whiskey, etc.
The Daniel Bernath Foundation -Helping Others Because He Just Can’t Help Himself.
That sounds like one of those philosophical questions, like what is the sound of one hand clapping; or if a plane crashes 200 yards short of the runway due to lack of fuel, is the airplane manufacturer responsible?
YOU DID NOT SAY “OVER.”
Is that the best story of asshattery or what?
DAB: “No, you say OVER, then I speak and I say OVER, then you speak and you say OVER”.
MCPO: “What”.
DAB: “No, you did say OVER”.
Note: An actual conversation between DAB and MCPO.
It’s what I get for going to have a short chat with my publisher … I miss the opening of the WOT. I deserve to be … where am I, here, anyway? Twenty-fourth?
I’m going back to watching Elizabeth I maneuver her way through the ins and outs of the Court of England without getting trapped into something she doesn’t want. Glenda Jackson was quite good in this role.
The film with Cate Blanchett was good. The character of Sir Francis Walsingham was like a large reptile slowly surrounding Bess’ enemies.
I liked the fly-on-the-wall approach in that movie, but the Elizabeth R series on PBS really dug into her ability to wade through the intrigues of the court and keep her own counsel at the same time.
Another remarkable figure from that era was Sir Francis Drake. You couldn’t invent a story about what he actually did, and expect to have anyone believe you. Elizabeth setting Drake loose among Spanish galleons was like putting a fox in a henhouse.
Her goals were to ensure public safety, boost the military and establish England as a successful country. By establishing a base coinage, she brought inflation down rapidly.
She was smart enough to select the right people for specific jobs, and then get out of their way to let them do those jobs. She also knew that a rising middle class would put England at the top.
I was off donating blood, so really was not in the competition this week.
In other news, Bernath is known to the states of California, Ohio, Florida, and Virginia to be certifiably an idiot.
There are other states besides that, Graybeard. He’s made a name for himself in many places now.
It was all I could come up with at the time.
That’s quite all right. Do you suppose he casts an eye on TAH these days? Or that he’s allowed TV in his living space? In a closed environment, would he be allowed internet access without supervision?
Hmm…. such questions as one may have in regard to this extraordinary circumstance.
Has he EVER exited a courthouse without making himself the subject of every “You’re NOT gonna believe THIS…” conversation? I bet there are plenty of legit Attorneys out there that now say things like “I screwed up on this, but at least I wasn’t a Bernath”.
That “facility” sounds like just the place for someone with a “Bernathian Bent”. Just think of all the people in there who would love to have some of his “legal advice”. I wonder if they take in Winos? Ol’ sHoRtBuS wItTlEsS oNe, could tell all the “neighbors” of how he has been the darling of the Skydive world.
Perhaps Kyle Christopher Barwan will get to spend a night in there, as his prison shuttle van wends its way Southward, bringing him to Polk County Florida and to Sheriff Grady Judd.
Word on the street is that Bernath is still violating his restraining order from jail.
This is my surprized face. 😮
How?
My guess would be the telephone or in writing – or having someone else do the calling.
I don’t know about Virginia and the institutions in which he has been housed, but in Texas an inmate’s phone calls are monitored (County lock up or prison) and his mail read and screened both directions.
Seems to me a little legal notice to not let this crazy pile of roach droppings call or mail you should stop that.
That’s pretty much the situation in every State, get locked up and EVERY communication with the outside is monitored.
Yep, absolutely do, I believe they read the mail too. Lot’s of dumb shitz run their mouths on the phone – like the little twit who mailed off the classified info and told her mom she was white and cute. Yea, think she still hasn’t gotten bail. B’Nasty should know all of this though. I wonder…
Here in my kingdom, tyere is a sign on the wall that says “phone calls are recorded”.
My guess would be the telephone or in writing – or having someone else do the calling for him.
He’s passing messages through Joe Cryer to his victims.
Are you serious?
(That’s rhetorical. I know you’re serious.)
Does Cryer know what kind of trouble he’s getting himself into?
Well, then the warden should be notified about it, of course. And Mr. Bernath seems to want to just dig that hole deeper and deeper.
Ex: Most likely Cryer wants to relocate from MD to VA so that he (1) pays less State Income Taxes, (2) the climate may be warmer to his liking (3) he wants to be closer to his Buddy. 👿🎵
Guess 42265 does enjoy VA Weather better than FL because I suspect he won’t be celebrating Christmas and New Years Eve in FL this year…
AS TO Joe Cryer – I seem to remember he had charges dropped against him a few months back for some shit he pulled against Don and Diane. Looks like he thinks he’s above the law and is wanting to Join Danni-boi in the can…
Well, if that is proven, it’s going to cost him. And someone else might be in trouble as well. This whole thing just gets weirder and weirder.
Two crazies helping each other go crazier.
Joe Cryer needs to be horsewhipped. Plus some, I’m sure.
Really bad move on his part.
From what I understand, being sent from the relatively benign confines of the Chesapeake jail over to the Hampton Roads Regional jail in Portsmouth is roughly equivalent to being taken off of house arrest and then sent into an old-time Marine Corps ‘Red Line’ brig.
There are some really, really bad characters in the Hampton Roads Regional Jail.
That’s going to get him a legal, DOGPILING!!
One hopes.
What a fucking retard.
If Fox brings back The Following, we have a new Joe Carroll.
This Ain’t Hell estimates there are currently over 300 active military posers in the United States. What would happen if these valor thieves had a way of communicating and connecting with each other? What if they were able to work together and form alliances across the country? What if one incontinent psychotic valor thief was able to bring them all together and activate a following?
At the rate TAH and the other websites have been exposing the POSers, I would think there are a lot more than 300 of them if you include the embellishers as well, like the guys that can’t even make it to the Gunga Dan line.
That’s a sure way to impress the judge.
Wonder if there is some way to ensure the jail doesn’t let him do that.
All he needs now is a few prison tattoos on his face and he’ll be set.
Perhaps that is why a week ago his Mental Examination was withdrawn?
He is his own Kryptonite…and he is not Superman (although he probably thinks in his mind he is).
He’s probably already preparing filings for the court because his continuing criminal behavior is being interrupted and/or made more difficult. Just consider how hard it must be now for him to contact potential future clients and stuff like that. Makes sense to anyone as detached from reality as this one appears to be.
Gee whiz, that’s like taking off in a plane with next to no fuel and suing the plane’s manufacturer when you wreck, no wait…
((((OVER))))
Only him. Only he’s stupid enough to do that.
As usual I have a ? Im thinking that the new veteran Id the VA is introducing for all honorably discharged vets besides vets like myself who already have the VA health card and / or DOD id is a pretty good idea and will cut down on mistaken Stolen Valor issues. Due to the fact to get it you have to go through a verification process and it’s way more convenient that lugging around a DD 214. Thoughts ?
IMHO, don’t think it will cut down on SV issues since one can now create/recreate a DD214 via Internet/PC that they can use to verify that they are eligible for the new VA ID card.
And that card may end up being falsely recreated as well.
VA still needs to relook their systems internally. They are still paying out benefits to phony Vietnam POWs (possibly phony Korean and WWII POWs as well), those claiming disabilty which may be fraudulent in nature, those claiming PH status which are false, etc.etc.
I see longer lines at those restaraunts offering free meals on Veterans Day. And what is so sad and shameful is that a true Veteran may not have that oppotunity to have that meal because of a few who lie about serving our country or embellish their service.
Hope the new VA ID card works for those true Veterans..and again (wishful thinking on my part), hope the VA cleans house.
Good points. I never thought of identity theft as a way to score a card. I think it’s the ID vets program used to allow honorably discharged vets to shop the exchanges online . As for phony VA claims. I know that it used to be harder to get service connection granted for issues like PTS. More evidentiary requirements back then. When Obama loosened the restrictions for proof in 09 I think some saw it as an opportunity to defraud the system I had to jump through hoops in the old days. Hopefully VA will weed out the phoneys . Interesting note about the new cards. Shulkin says they won’t cost the government a dime. Because they are being sponsored by Office Depot. Even has the logo on the back.
Here is the URL where you can watch a free movie, “AN OPEN SECRET”, about the carefully hidden predatory paedophilia among the moguls of the Hollywood motion picture industry:
The whole world needs to know about this!
One flew the cuckoo’s nest comes to mind.
He is not crazy.
He has us right where he wants us.
A few days ago, I made a donation to the NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY, currently under construction at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
This is the URL:
https://armyhistory.org/
At the same time, and at that same web site, I purchased two books, “THE ARMY”, and, “THE VIETNAM WAR – A CHRONOLOGY OF WAR”.
“THE ARMY” cost me $15.00, and “THE VIETNAM WAR – A CHRONOLOGY OF WAR” cost me $30.00
Both books are impressively HUMONGOUS, leather bound, with large gold medalions on the cover of each book.
They are the kind of books you put on your living room coffee table to impress visitors.
For guys like me, the books have lots of pictures to look at.
So, maybe you might also want to buy yourself copies of these books?
They would make excellent gifts, and/or be a precious family heirloom to pass on to your posterity.
We’re getting close to Veterans’ Day; and as last year, I will go to a place that does not advertise free meals to Veterans.
I was surprised last year when I walked into a place and the hostess asked if there were any veterans in my group. I had a very enjoyable and free lunch. It gives me such a pain when I see advertisements that say veterans eat free; then go to the place and find the free meal is only for select items. It also makes me sick when I see land whales slopping at the troughs of free food wearing a military item the uninitiated think is proof of service.
Last Friday, I was eating at a restaurant and talking with the waitress. We got talking about family and she volunteered her father was a veteran. When I said me too, she told me to remind her when she figured the bill because they give veterans discounts (but don’t tell anyone).
I never ask for a discount; but, when one is offered I take it.
I was invited out for a Veterans Day meal a couple of years ago, but we ultimately decided to turn around and go home.
There were so many scammers there wearing the equivalent of poser bling who were clearly not actual veterans that we couldn’t get near the door.
Great post. It’s sad to see something that starts out as a way to thank veterans turned into a yearly joke on social media and elsewhere because of fraudsters . Hopefully the vetting at the doors of these establishments will be stepped up
A few years ago, a friend and I went to the Golden Corral in Vernal, Utah, and we didn’t have to pay for anything.
Of course, Vernal is a small enough community that any imposters would be quickly exposed and publicly humiliated.
This year, the Golden Corral has gone out of business, and the same restaurant is operating under a different name.
Will they be serving free meals on Veterans Day?
We’ll have to wait and see.
The manager of the Golden Corral in Fayetteville, North Carolina violated company rules when, at my request via long distance telephone call, she gave a meal to my sister to deliver to our housebound stepmother (recently deceased), who was a Second World War veteran, and as my sister is the widow of a retired Army NCO, the manager invited her to also enjoy a free meal.
With Apologies to Tommy Tutone I swear I hear Dullas Wiitenfeltpecker drunkenly singing this.
Hey!
Danny,Danny who can I just sue?
Your legal advice’ I can hold on to
I know you think I’m like your fellow nutbags before
Who saw your name and number on the wall
Danny, I got your number
I need to make you mine
Danny, don’t change your number
422 and 6 and 5
422 and 6 and 5
422 and 6 and 5
Danny, Danny, you’re the lawer for me
Oh, you don’t know me, but I’m also real Nutty
I tried to call you before, but I was in Jail
Just like you are now giving up your tail.
Danny, I got your number

Durn it, JAOD, now I can’t get that tune out of my head!
But I like your lyrics…Bravo…🎵🎶👿😈
Now that’s got my toe just a’ tappin’!
Even though I flap in a light breeze now, that was some good shit you wrote…I hope you’ll dedicate it to me
so does anyone have an answer for this crap? I am at a loss but now have a better understanding of why things have been going the way they have been. well here look for your self and read some of these tweets…
https://twitter.com/yds_isu
It’s GOOOOONNE!
that was quick, but here is another to look at:

this was the original story that sent me there:

Quite frankly, I think it is far better to have this kind of thing in public view, where everyone can see it and become aware of that kind of hateful, antisocial and very pathological dialogue.
We have to remember that it was lack of instant publication in the early 20th century that allowed the real Nazis, Fascisti and Communists to do what they did.
The more we know and are aware of these kinds of things, the better. You cannot fight off or defend yourself against hidden dangers. That holds true whether it is politics or diseases or invasions of any kind.
what i don’t understand is why we are not calling these groups what they really are, Communists. its not a Alt Left or Democrat it’s pure and simple Marxism which is No Bueno.
Does calling it Socialism make it a lesser , nicer form of Communism? i don’t really think so.
No, it is not a lesser form of anything. Using a milder label for it is a form of denial of reality.
If there were any way at all to put these idiots into the reality of the Soviet Union, I would do it in a heartbeat. And even someone like a friend of mine who was 6 when her parents left the USSR with her, and who remembers how harsh it really was, would not convince these idealistic idiots that it was as bad as we know it was.
They have to find out for themselves.
Let’s hope that is does not happen at our expense. We must be ever watchful.
yeah…ANTIFA, etc are the DNC. There really is no difference in ideology, just approaches to others.
It is just another derivative method for them.
If it works, they will double down, if not, rename and rebrand.
About 90st and Honorary First once again.
((((OVER))))
I’m hurt and bleeding.
Just saw the trailer for Stranger Things season 2. Looks like I’ll be binge watching both seasons next weekend
Go, Cubs, Go!
Go, Cubs, Go!
Hey, Chicago, Whaduya Say?
Oh, wait, 11-1 loss in the final NLCS game.
Rizzo & Bryant, a combined 5 for 37 against Dem Brooklyn Bums? What’s up with that?
Oh, Well, back to the “There’s always next year” routine.
But congrats to all the Cubbies for a good season.
See Ya on Opening Day.
At one time, in the US, wasn’t Baseball the Number 1 Sport versus Football?
Check the ratings, Pat.
Baseball outdraws football, at least as long as the NFL players continue the stoopid taking of a knee.
Claw…….The Cubbies were out of sinc all year. Turned it on abit after the all star break. Just never did dominate like last year!
I think it’s going to be Dodgers vs Astros in the World Series!
I also think this year’s World Series will be Da Bums vs the Colt .45’s.
Myself, I still consider the Astros to be a NL oriented style of play team, so it’s a win-win for everybody.
Designated Hitter Rule? – Ptui!
Go Stros!
Best shirt from the game was a Cubs fan “There’s always last year”
Signed-
A lifelong Dodger fan. 🙂
It’s okay. I figured they probably would do okay all year but maybe get to the playoffs and end it.
I’m just happy that they did so well last year.
There is ALWAYS next year! ALWAYS!!!
WS champs in 1907, 1908, and 2016…time to relax, and give others like the Yankees & Dodgers some glory. I guess the Astros too who have no championships.
I’m a Phillies phan. I know how to suffer.
I said this on Facebook and I say it here, from the perspective of a life-long Cubs fan:
We have nothing at all to be ashamed of.
The Cubs made it to the NLCS three years in a row.
The Cubs won the NL Central Division two years in a row.
And, of course, the Cubs won the whole enchilada last year, their first World Series win in 108 years – and that alone is enough to keep us happy until the 22nd century!
I give all respect to the Nationals and Dodgers … the Nats put up a tremendous fight (boo for firing Dusty Baker!) and the Dodgers were simply the better team (you have no idea how difficult it is for me to write those words).
VA will NOT issue the new photo ID cards to veterans having less than Honorable discharges.
http://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/10/20/veterans-with-bad-paper-wont-get-new-va-id-cards.html
At the time that the WOT was posted, I was enjoying brunch with friends who had just brought a load of “Arms Ammunition or Explosives”, from Edwards AFB to Eglin AFB for testing. After they unloaded, we met at Cracker Barrel for a good breakfast/lunch, and great conversation. The “ride” is something that a friend wants me to use occasionally to “keep the oil circulated”, while she drives her primary vehicle.

Off topic:
All rise, the Judge is in Houston tonight and Yankees are going to the World Series.
Out.
Well, the Yanks got smacked in game 6. Verlander was just a beast. CC Sabathia has the mound in game 7 against Dallas Keuchel. Should be exciting.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a Houston-L.A. series.
In which case, Go Astros!
Thanks Commish! Astros vs. Dodgers gonna be one heck of a Series!
So, my wish for Bernath is partially fulfilled. Good. Hope he stays there for some time, and then when he gets back to Florida, his confinement is continued.
In India that’s what you get with Hinduism. They say that kind of insane abuse is your “Karma”. You can’t help the homeless or mentally ill either because you can’t interfere with their Karma. It’s pretty sick in my opinion. Of course in some ways the same type of treatment was going on here in the USA 100 years ago. Thankfully we got some better treatment for workers.
In the Land of the Losers, The False Commander “Phony” Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) is king!
Busy WOT tonight.
I got a real kick out of the bernasty stuff. Glad to see that they finally locked him up for his crazy stuff.
I really am worried about him taking a gun and blowing up at others that don’t suspect anything or are innocent bystanders.
It’s people like him that blow up for no apparent real reason and take a bunch of others with themselves…
At least he won;’t be bothering Jonn or any other TAH member in the near future at least.
Have a great weekend my friends.
Au contraire–even in jail, apparently he’s still using Joe Cryer to do his dirty work.
I wonder if the Portland lawyers and Judge Hyatt have been read-in yet? And the members of that private/sport pilot blog? If so, any word as to their reactions?
Last I saw, the two pilot blog threads were locked a while back. I haven’t looked to see whether they started new ones.
So Danny-boi finally ran into a situation where his alligator mouth overran his hummingbird ass yet again, and got sent to an even WORSE jail?
Yeah. ZFG.
It hit 0 degrees tonight. My chickens, ducks, and geese no longer want to leave the coup and Thanksgiving’s, Christmas’, and Easter’s (my turkeys) days are numbered. My daughter was scandalized when we got the turkeys as chicks that I named them after the holiday meals that they will become. My wife vetoed me naming our pig “bacon” though, so now his name is Harry and his days are numbered as well. My daughter is happy that my son-in-law and myself harvested my meat chickens last month though since she no longer has to deal with them.
Alert: Rant following.
I am tired of being called a racist by people who do not even know the color of my skin. They make assumptions based solely upon their own bigotry.
I am tired of the US military, the most egalitarian entity in history, being denigrated for being the guardian of American rights and freedoms for everyone.
I am tired of everyone and everything being blamed for individual choices made and the consequences of making bad ones.
Only in this country do we have the freedom to decide if and when we want to work, who we will blame for our own limitations, and demand that others pay for all of it. Yeah, I am tired of doing without stuff so that others can get stuff I cannot afford without even offering a thank you for my sacrifice. In other words, I am tired of getting my hand bit while trying to feed my neighbor who is hungry only because they spent my money on another flat screen TV instead of food.
/rant, for now

Of course it is…
Shout it, OWB!
Loud! Make it loud! You aren’t alone in this!
Haven’t felt alone since election night 2016.

Hey! You hear this one?
Retired ‘Navy SEAL’ on Fox News was a fake
Fox News ran a story on Oct. 8 about a decorated Vietnam War Navy SEAL who created an enormous presidential glass seal he hoped to give to President Donald Trump. On Thursday, 11 days later, the network retracted the story after being told the man never served in Vietnam at all, much less earned commendations for his service.
Yes, that was up on TAH earlier this week. I think it was on Thursday??
Hey, did you hear that Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead?
yes, he is valiantly struggling to stay dead at this time… more to come next week…
Funny the things that you think about while deciding to get out of bed in the morning.
Like this morning, I wondered if the people who plug in the letters to make a new recruit’s very first Army name tapes have a Name Scrabble game going like we do here at TAH.
If I remember things correctly, when we went through Basic Training, the newly issued OD fatigue shirts came with a blank tape already sewn on. What happened was you and a buddy were given a set of 3/4 inch stencils and a ink pad, sat down in the common area of the barracks and between the two of you (one holding and one inking) you put names on shirts.
I kinda remember some of the guys bitching about the stencil set not having enough letters to make their names (like Razzmatazz or some of the longer European extraction names that had a lot of non vowels to them) and had to wait and share with another pair’s stencil set when they were done.
But have no idea how the name tape process was accomplished during the white name tape era, but during the period I went through Basic (1971), that was the process in the Army. (at least at Fort Campbell it was)
It may be interesting (?) to hear from other services/time periods just how their name tapes came to be when they were recruits.
Just some food for thought here on a fine Sunday morning.
In boot camp, we were given those black pin-back bar name tags with your last name engraved into them. I still have mine somewhere.
Claw, if memory serves, there was no stenciling involved with name tapes at Ft. Ord in ’69. What happened was that OD Green tapes with stamped-on black letters were put on as fatigues cycled out and back from the laundry. It might have been temporarily unique at Ft. Ord at the time, but there was also a third trainee-only blank white tape that went above the “U.S. Army” one. It was called a “smack” tag.
What I also remember about fatigues in those days was that they were so heavily starched you practically needed the Jaws of Life to pry them open enough to wear.
I also found it curious later in Viet Nam how some of those details were taken care of. A lot of the hand-sewn stuff done by the Vietnamese, such as name tapes, was pretty good. I also remember having a minor issue while on an advisory team in Ban Me Thuot. Apparently as a semi-official courtesy, we were supposed to wear on the chest pockets a pair of ARVN unit patches including one for the ARVN 23rd ID. The problem was where to get them. It wasn’t as if you could run over to an ARVN PX and pick some up.
It turned out that the hootch mamasans, using an apparent mamasan-mafia network, had the ARVN patch problem under control. Over time, it wouldn’t have surprised me if a mamasan could get you a grand piano if you asked nicely.
Hah, “smack tag” Hadn’t heard of that one.
What made it even funnier was that the field jackets we wore (with a blank name tape) weren’t ours to keep. They were turned back in at the end of our cycle (February-March) to be issued to the next batch of trainees.
So unless you were indoors having classroom type instructions and not wearing a field jacket, being able to see what the surname was on your shirt kinda meant nothing.
Thanks for your input.
Perry………I have a patch made in Vietnam for our troop, 3/17 Air Cav. On the patch is a winged Pegasus. Only one problem, the Vietnamese have never seen or heard of a Pegasus. So the one on my patch looks like a flying red dog!
Given some of the VN diet preferences, it’s kind of a surprise there was a dog around to use as a model…
Perry…….we actually had a little black dog as our mascot, his name was Snuffy. He hated Vietnamese, every time a ARVN would walk thru our compound Snuffy would chase them, bite them. It was too funny!
Claw………my basic training was at Ft. Lewis in 1970. Our name tags were stenciled. We even had a few extras, I think the laundry service did them.
On another note, I remember we were issued two pair of boots. We were supposed to put white shoe polish on the back of one pair and rotate the boots every other day. It seemed like I was always shining my boots. To get around this I removed the shoe polish and used white tape. After doing this, I wore the same boots everyday. Always had a nice pair of spit shined boots at inspection time at my foot locker!
That’s how I recieved my Good Conduct Medal!
I’m curious if the prison is letting Mr. Bernath keep his catheters or if they requite him to hold his own until they can cath him?
I wonder if any of the pilot forums where Danny boy used to post have been informed of his status?

Thanks for the links! I read those long ago (when the plane crash, etc. first happened), but hadn’t bookmarked them.
He doesn’t look very happy in that mug shot! (Maybe one of the “Deli Employees” is giving him a look!)
