Saturday feel good stories

From Bexar County, Texas;

Surveillance footage shows one of the shooters walking with a gun in front of the home. The homeowner told KENS 5 that she heard banging on the front door and someone yelling “SAPD.”

She knew something wasn’t right because her house is in the county, which is covered by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

The homeowner says that she grabbed her phone and a gun. Moments later, her back door was kicked in.

From the top of her staircase, the homeowner told us that she started firing shots. The gunmen fired back then took off, but not before shooting the front of the house too.

The homeowner is still pulling bullets out of the walls.

Walls were all that took bullets according to police.

In Mercedes, Texas;

Police later met with a homeowner who claimed “masked persons with guns” came onto her property.

The homeowner then stated her husband, identified as 32-year-old Esli De La Cruz, loaded his handgun and fired a warning shot to prevent the intruders from coming any further into the house, according to the criminal complaint.

De La Cruz reportedly chased the burglary suspects off the property and into the roadway.

During the course of an investigation, police identified 29-year-old Noe Tijerina of Mission as a suspect. He was later charged with burglary of habitation. A Justice of the Peace set bond at $100,000. He remains in the Hidalgo County jail and couldn’t be reached for comment.

Upon obtaining statements, police learned De La Cruz resided illegally in the United States. He was later charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.

From Greenville, South Carolina;

Investigators said Shane William Standard, 25, Tracie Lewis Mayfield, 32, and Jeffrey Eugene Bradley, 31, went to a home, held a man at gunpoint inside the home and demanded money.

Investigators said a neighbor saw the struggle, grabbed a gun and fired a shot, hitting Bradley at least once. He died at the hospital, Greenville County Coroner Kent Dill said.

Standard and Mayfield are both charged with first-degree burglary, attempted armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, criminal conspiracy and kidnapping, investigators said.

Noe Tijerina

Claw

Noe Tijerina = 18 points.

His name is easy to pronounce/translate into English:

Sounds a lot like “I’m a Dumb Ass.”

1610desig

Noe tequila for him until he makes bail

Doc Savage

I read that name and thought “No Tee U Wanna”

A by product of my last Ta Kill Ya experiment in Mexico……I woke up in a barn full of animals back in the States.

Animals didn’t appear to be traumatized so I called it a win/win and hiked home with a hangover of biblical proportions.

Claw, Could you run Jeffery Eugene Bradley through the TAH Scrabbe scoring system with the DOT multiplier? He is mentioned in the SC case.

Thanks,

Claw

You Betcha.

Jeffery Eugene Bradley (DOT) 43 x 3 = 129.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

Standard & Mayfield sounds like a law or brokerage firm. (standard & Poors) I wonder why both were not charged with murder since they were part of the hold up team.

rgr769

Yes, they should be charged with felony murder. In most states the felony murder rule mandates that any participant in a dangerous felony (murder, robbery, rape, burglary, arson, etc.) is guilty of murder for the death of anyone killed in the commission of the crime, even if the deceased is an accomplice killed by the victim.

Love the Texas Twofer. Catch a burglar AND an illegal at the same robbery. The irony is that the burglar was caught at the illegal’s house. hehehehe

I’ll bet two dollars U.S. against a dump truck load of Venezuelan Bolivars that the stickup crew knew that the resident was an illegal alien when they hit the place. There are gangs of these goblins that prey on the illegals because they know that the victims can’t call the cops and don’t usually shoot back.

There is no romance left in the West any more. Holdup guys don’t have those glamour names like Billy the Kid or the Dalton Gang or Butch & Sundance.

I’m sad.

Noe?? Tijerina?? For real, right? Who dropped a load in his mama’s coffee cup?

Graybeard

“Noe” is Spanish for “Noah”, pronounced like “No-eh”. Tijerina being the family name, “Tea-he-ree-nah”.

No more or less unusual than, say, Pancho Villa.

From the cited KENS5 first story in Baxter County, TX:

The good news in this latest incident is that no one was injured. The suspects are still on the run.

Sorry, but I don’t think a hail of gunfire and the perps getting away is “good news.”

It is “good news” that the homeowner was not injured, but the people that broke into the home?

I would consider it good news if they were injured and caught by the police.

Yo DA. Since these two troglodytes were instigators in a crime where a life was lost as a result of it, Second Degree murder should also be a charge.
