Mattis to the troops: Hold the line
The Hill quotes Secretary of Defense James Mattis speaking to the troops in an unknown location;
“Our country right now, it’s got problems we don’t have in the military,” Mattis said. “You just hold the line until our country gets back to understanding and respecting each other and showing it.”
Mattis said the U.S. has “two powers” – “inspiration” and “intimidation.”
“We’ve got the power of intimidation, and that’s you, if someone wants to screw with our families, our country and our allies,” Mattis said. “The power of inspiration – [and] we’ll get the power of inspiration back.”
He also thanked the troops for their service and said he came out of retirement to “serve alongside young people like you who are so selfless and, frankly, so rambunctious.”

I have a few issues with the current administration but General Mattis is definitely not one of them; appointing him is one of the truly great things President Trump has done.

As much as the MSM would love to pin society’s ills on vets (Huffpo’s article on veteran racism, for example), they realize that the military, while imperfect, does a pretty good job at attempting a colorblind meritocracy.
And it drives them nuts.
I wish I could have served under such a leader. This man is one of the all-time great leaders.

The US military doesn’t have these problems because they don’t put up with leftist marxist snowflake behavior.
If you tried to pull down a statue on a military base you would be severely punished and then booted out.
If you tried to violently attack someone exercising their freedom of speech on a military base you would be severely punished then booted out.
If you tried to riot and loot on military base you would be severely punished and then booted out.
If you tried to shut down a road or stop training on military base you would be severely punished and then booted out.
Etc.
Standards work. Consequences for uncivilized behavior work
Liberty is -messy. That boisterous opposition is proof we are still Free. Criminals should be smacked judicially, but the day we all march in lockstep the USA is dead and buried.
Mad Dog is the perfect man to get the military back on course of being united and dedicated to training properly and fighting the nation’s wars.
With today’s rift in politics there is no telling who will be in office after 2016.
The Military had to hold the line and resist the forced policies of those who would try to undercut their warrior ethos.
During 16 of the last 25 Years the Military was under the thumb of the Clintonistas and Obamites.
This allowed people to enlist, get commissions and be advanced who had their own agenda.
Hopefully Mattis can see these leeches purged from the ranks.
