Chief Tango sends us our first story from LaCrosse, Wisconsin;

A South Side La Crosse tenant shot a man breaking into a duplex early Friday, according to La Crosse police.

The resident of 417 S. Eighth St. called police about 6:55 a.m. reporting two or three people had entered his home.

The tenant shot at the intruders with a pistol, police said. One of the intruders is hospitalized. His condition is unknown.

From Williamsport, Pennsylvania;

Upon forcing his way through a laundry room window at a home on Queneshaque Road about 6 a.m. Wednesday, alleged burglar Jason Robert Yahn was met by the homeowner, who was armed with a handgun, state Trooper James Doane said.

Timothy Jasper, the homeowner, demanded that the intruder identify himself and explain what he was doing in his house.

However, the burglar immediately reversed course, going back out the same window he came in, bolting to a pickup truck and jumping into the vehicle.

As the 34-year-old Yahn fled the scene, Jasper began shooting at the truck, trying to stop him, Doane said.

The time for shooting was while he was INSIDE the house….

Correct. Shooting at someone who is running from you, turns them into the victim and you into the assailant. As it should be. Shoot them center mass, repeatedly, as they advance on you.
