DelToro storms out of interview about “Che”
Benecio delToro took exception to questions about his motivations for making his controversial tongue bath of communist murderer thug, Ernesto “Che” Guevara in an interview with Washington Times reporter Sonny Bunch.
“I’m getting uncomfortable,” Benicio del Toro said after fielding a question about his new movie’s portrayal of the Bolivian and Cuban revolutions. “I’m done. I’m done, I hope you write whatever you want. I don’t give a damn.”
With that, the Oscar-winning actor walked away, abruptly terminating an interview conducted late last week to discuss director Steven Soderbergh’s “Che.”
Funny, but I thought criticism and examination is encouraged in the art world. Imagine, Guevara is directly responsible for the murder and execution of hundreds of Cubans who simply opposed Guevara ideologically, and delToro is unwilling to discuss that aspect of his biography.
Everyone insists the movie is a biopic, but I think it’s a bit myopic, along with it’s lead player.

Wonder what the questions were? Perhaps something like this:
So…did Che have acne as bad as you do?
I’m curious, when Che was cowering in a puddle of piss, begging not to be killed, did you use your own pee or some sort of Gatorade-like substitute?
Do you plan on going after the lucrative Che t-shirt market…in the name of taking money from the capitalist pigs, of course
Hey, what those Bolivians did to Che was pretty bad, huh…sort of puts a new spin on “smoking a Cuban”, wouldn’t you say? No, I kid…he was Argentinean…but still, got a light?
So, you’ve come a long way from playing stereotypical Cuban drug dealers on Miami Vice to playing stereotypical Cuban drug profiteers masked as revolutionaries…how does it feel being typecast as a perpetual cliché?
Wait! Come back! Was it something I said? What a dou-Che.
Another whining Hollywood hack, what’s new?
All this adoration by liberals of Che Guevera, is proof positive that they don’t know a thing about the person they revere. The anti-war, make love not war left, who love him unconditionally should get out a history book, and read about this murdering friend of theirs! I think it’s typical; DelToro can’t take a few questions about the role he was playing. Because he really doesn’t know anything about the guy, or because the truth hurts???
I tell you what, my buddy’s Dad was killed because of/by Castro/Che and he friggin’ hates that shite. He’s now the most rabid anti-communist, anti-Che, anti-Castro Special Agent in our arsenal. I would love to see Del Toro climb into a ring with my buddy.
I LOVE this!!! I would have asked, is it typecasting, to hire an ayhole to portray another ayhole? Good God, his poor, wounded, tormented artist’s soul just couldn’t handle the pain of being questioned.
Maybe if he’d been allowed to execute a few bound and gagged old men and women, like his role model, he could have finished the interview.
I also have friends who were of my father’s and uncle’s ages, who encountered followers of che, and fidel, too, all the way up the Bay of Pigs era. Pure evil.
How any human could be so brainwashed, weakminded, and sub-stupid, as to believe that that scumbag was a dashing hero, is beyond me.
Love the dead Che gif!
Che was evil, pure and simple.
I did a term paper on him back in the high school, even in the adoration-filled Soviet history book they did not shy away from mentioning his evil deeds. Of course, it was presented as ‘necessary evil’ to achieve the higher goals of a perpetual workers’ paradise. I think the Left and DelToro truly believe that what Che had done was justified and that’s why they continue to wear his t-shirts and make movies about him. They also understand that if they say that much they will lose any ‘understanding’ of the main street America, thus, the refusal to discuss any real history.
