Former Congresswoman Corrine Brown Doubles Down on “Teh Stoopid”
Remember former Rep. Corrine Brown (D-FL)? You know, the “fine lady” who ran for re-election to Congress from a district in the Jacksonville, FL, area last year while under Federal indictment for fraud and other charges (20+ total counts)?
You should – she’s been featured in multiple articles here at TAH. But if you need a memory assist, I’ve written about her here; that article links to numerous others about the “fine lady” written by Jonn and TSO.
Well, it seems Ms. Brown is in the news again. And as before, not in a good way.
It appears that well after she lost her try at re-election (she was defeated in the Democratic Primary in late August, 2016), she decided she’d tap campaign funds again – to the tune of more than $13,000 – to pay for things that on the surface certainly appear to be highly questionable if not outright illicit campaign expenses. This Washington Free Beacon article has details.
Frankly, I don’t see any issue. That $11,000+ in “lodging expenses” at a DC-area Marriott in late September seems to be a totally legitimate expense to pay from re-election campaign funds. So what if it was weeks after she lost her bid for reelection – and occurred nowhere near her former Congressional district? Ditto that $2,000+ in “petty cash” withdrawn from those same campaign funds during a period of roughly 2 1/2 weeks starting in mid-October. What’s the problem? (I do hope the sarcasm in this paragraph is obvious.)
Criminy. She was already under indictment, and it certainly looks like she went out and did more of the same. Is she really that freaking stupid?
Don’t bother answering. I think we already know the answer.
To repeat a question I asked in a previous article: I wonder how she looks in an orange jumpsuit?
Category: "Teh Stoopid", Legal, Liberals suck, YGBSM!!
Isn’t the obvious question “is she any more stupid that the Jacksons (Jesse’s son, Jesse, Jr. and d-in-law Shirley)”?
From the Chicago Tribune: “Jackson, a Chicago Democrat, spent 17 years in Congress before resigning while under FBI investigation. He pleaded guilty in 2013 to using about $750,000 in campaign cash over several years for vacations, luxury goods, celebrity memorabilia and other items. At the time he resigned in late November 2012, he was being paid $174,000 a year.”
He got to spend quality time in jail while Mrs. Wifey stayed home with the kids and now she gets to spend quality time in jail while he’s watching the barn door. And stupidity isn’t just allotted to people from the Sout’ Side of Chicago.
Oh, no: we also have that Fine and Upstanding Fellow Dennis Hastert, who was investigated by the IRS for large withdrawals (amounts $1 million++) from his account to use as hush money to shut up men he had molested when he was their high school wrestling coach. Remember him? At one time, he was the Speaker of the House of Representatives. So close to The Throne.
Give them money and a position of perceived power and their brains shrivel like old, old walnuts.
Not Shirley – SANDY Jackson is J Jrs. wife. My bad. Not enough caffeine.
Because too often people aren’t getting into politics to serve their constituents, they’re getting into politics to become rich and powerful.
I’m surprised she was even indicted under Obama’s regime being she’s black and female. Perhaps if she were a lesbian she’d have gotten a pass/pardon?
A Muslim lesbian. Gotta hit all the categories.
She owns stupid. Others borrow it from her now and then, but, really, she owns it.
BUT, But, but, I thought that a recently disbarred attorney/short fuel pilot owned that claim. Or, did he only hold title to “Honorary Owner of Stupid”?
I learn something every day.
I thought Pelosi and Waters owned the patent on “Stupid and Moronic”
When you think there is a maximum level of stupid in the world, someone from DC raises the bar.
According to Albert Einstein, there were only two unlimited substances in the Universe: Hydrogen and Stupidity. And he wasn’t certain about Hydrogen.
Not to worry; there’s plenty to go around.
Well, well, well.
Of course, if she sees nothing wrong with behaving criminally, why would she even consider behaving any other way? Theoretically, spending time in jail should convince her otherwise, but she really has seen no negative consequences for her bad actions. Yet.
Paying the price for illegal behavior? Naw. That’s for other people, not our self-appointed betters.
What a crock. Aren’t these the same folks who claim that we don’t have different classes of citizens, as they demand they are entitled to special stuff just because they are who they are? Nothing about earning what you get, or deserving stuff. Never.
Another pol getting caught stealing… waiting for her to tell the judge at her trial that it was “DA MAN” making her do that.
Sort of like the Battalion Career Private going out and getting a DUI the night before his court martial. He knows that he is going away for a long time, what are they going to do, give him two life sentences?

I just saw some shmuck from San Francisco on the news this morning talking about how he’s going to try dethroning Pelosi. He even talked about how wonderful Socialism is and used police and fire as “examples” of socialism, among other socialism talking points of bullshit. I’d say he doesn’t have a chance, but then it is San Francisco, he might very well win since he’ll be offering them more free shit other people pay for. But not because Pelosi is batshit crazy and should’ve retired from Congress decades ago.
As I have said often before, The ignorant creature could never have gotten there if not for the people of that state voting for her. And she is truly representative of them.
She (San Fran Nan) is living proof that the voters of the Bay Area (whose capital is San Fransicko) are brain dead.
Anymore I am firmly convinced that each and every time one thinks that politicians period cannot get any stupider or slimier, one or more will go out and prove us wrong.

I don’t think better advice has ever been uttered.
I wish I knew how to do the video thingy… guess you’ll just have to click over to youtube to watch:

Yer one sick puppy, IDC SARC. (smile)
Better you than me, IMHO there aren’t enough paper bags and Tequila in all of creation to hide that amount of ugly.

How does she look in an orange jumpsuit?
GO GATA!!!

She could have been lobbying for All-Points Logistics.
Just saying……
Just imagine. The people that voted for her for years, think she’s smart…compared to them.
Will be crying out about being singled about b/c of my race in 3 – 2 – 1

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/corrine-brown-staffer-details-how-shed-help-prepare-bosss-taxes-charitable-deductions/436008668 A longtime former U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown staffer spent the latter part of the morning during witness testimony explaining how she would compile the congresswoman’s tax information and prepare it for the IRS. Carolyn Chatman worked for Brown from 1993-2000 in D.C. and from 2003-2017 in Jacksonville. During the three years she didn’t work for the congresswoman, she worked for the IRS. While staffing Brown’s Jacksonville office, Chatman was in charge of preparing the congresswoman’s taxes. She would also run errands and handled the responsibilities of the Jacksonville office. Brown is sitting through her fourth day of testimony in her corruption trial. She’s charged with 22 counts of a 24-count indictment alleging mail, wire and tax fraud. The testimony Tuesday moved from the mail and wire fraud charges into the tax fraud. http://www.news4jax.com/news/investigations/corrine-brown/browns-former-chief-of-staff-to-tesify-about-diverting-charity-funds JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One day after the head of a purported charity for poor children told prosecutors that former U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown used donated funds as a personal slush fund, the congresswoman’s former chief of staff is expected to take the stand to add more detail about the scheme. Ronnie Simmons and Brown were indicted together last summer, but Simmons pleaded guilty earlier this year and agreed to testify against his former boss. [Read Simmons’ plea agreement] Before Simmons testifies Tuesday, Brown’s tax preparer, Dawn Wright, continued her testimony from the day before, saying that over three years — from 2012 to 2015 — Brown claimed she gave $24,500 to One Door for Education, the bogus charity at the center of the government’s case against Brown. But Wright said that Brown could not show receipts for those donations or for thousands of dollars in other contributions she claimed she made to churches and other charities. Wright said she told Brown that documentation would be needed but that she took Brown’s word about the contributions when filing the congresswoman’s tax returns. The IRS could require receipts if Brown were to be audited. Tax fraud is one of the charges Brown faces. The odd thing is that this trial is not getting much play in the state… Read more »
She had a bit of an outburst over the questions she was asked today.
