Tuesday morning feel good stories

| May 2, 2017

Bobo sends a story from Kingsport, Tennessee;

The female resident (52 year old white female adult) answered a knock at her door to find a woman holding a flyer about a lost dog. As soon as she opened the door, a masked man stepped into the doorway, grabbed her arm, and attempted to pull her outside. When this initial assault proved unsuccessful, the masked man pushed the resident back inside the home and shouted, “This is a robbery!”

A struggle ensued, during which time the victim was able to partially remove the mask from the suspect’s face. In doing so, she immediately recognized the man as Joe M. Sotello, a longtime family friend. She also noticed what appeared to be a handgun tucked in Mr. Sotello’s waistband. The victim grabbed a baseball bat from behind the door and fought back in clearly justifiable self-defense.

Two teenage witnesses (both 18 year old white female adults) were in the residence at the time and joined in clearly justifiable third-party defense of the victim. Together, the three women physically drove Mr. Sotello out of the house and onto the front lawn. The woman who had been holding the flyer (later determined to be Mr. Sotello’s girlfriend) fled to a silver Honda. Mr. Sotello attempted to get into the car with her; however, he could not escape the three women who continued to get the better of him.

The end result;

Frankie sends a story from Miramar Beach, Florida;

The incident was captured on surveillance video and the suspects were wearing black masks and hoodies. The videos showed two suspects breaking in the door and entering; one to the left and one to the right. They broke the display cases with one using a hammer and the other a crowbar.

While the suspects began to take jewelry out of the cases, the store owner is shown coming around the corner, firing an unknown number of shots from a handgun. As one subject exited the store, he dropped or threw a pillowcase with the items he attempted to steal to the left of the door. He was heard on the video saying something as he exited.

That suspect is then seen hobbling as he ran away and fell again in the parking lot. WCSO could not confirm whether that suspect had been shot.

From West Valley City, Utah;

Police said shortly after the fight — around 3:30 a.m. — they received a report that a man had forced his way into a home about a block away at 4158 W. 4400 South.

Officers found an 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds outside the home, according to West Valley City police Sgt. Jake Hill. He originally reported the homeowner had facial lacerations, but later said the resident was shot also.

Both men were taken to area hospitals — the homeowner in good condition and the alleged intruder in stable condition.

I advocate to always have a weapon, usually described as a firearm, but in lieu of a gun, a baseball bat can take up the slack. This woman beat the shit out of the dope, and kept him beat.

Hornet spray is also good. Just shake it once, then aim and fire. It will go thirty feet easily.

AW1Ed

The Gun Grabbers will tell you that 6, 125 gn .357 Magnum rounds will just piss the intruder off, while a squirt of oven cleaner to his face will bring him to his knees.

Riiiight.

JacktheJarhead

AW1Ed, isn’t that ass backwards? Oh, Sorry, you said gun grabbers. Never mind.

I give it a 73. It’s got a good beat, and you can dance to it.

“The end result”

That will drive the facial recognition software crazy.

And after the three ladies stomped his ass, and his loyal girlfriend fled the scene, Sotello continued to show excellent judgement by making it to the residence of a relative of the victim where another fight ensued and he was subsequently held for police…all he needed to perfect his routine was to do it on a unicycle juggling bowling pins…

And Bubba, Thor, “Tiny”, and Dr Julio will continue “breaking” in Mr Sotello as their personal reach-around, man-love Thursday, “personal assistant”.

HMC Ret

I’m glad Julio acquired his PhD. He worked hard.

Fjardeson

Hooray Dr. Julio!

West Valley City, WVC, larger than Salt Lake City, with crime stats and crooked cops to match. Where even angels fear to tread, especially at night.

Silentium Est Aureum

Seems to me that place is made up of a lot of CA refugees who fled, not realizing they were bringing the shit along with them.

I appreciate the tale of the proper use of a baseball bat against an intruder. I applaud those ladies.

I have a sort of ‘feel good’ story to add here, and it has to do with something else.

They were going to protest the use of fossil fuels for electricity and heating/cooking. Any bets on how long they’ll last in the winter without heat?

Silentium Est Aureum

At least one idiot will probably claim they don’t use oil because they ride the bus (yes, I’ve seen someone claim this.)

But…but…but…solar and wind!

Colorado in January. Let me know how that works out. Ditto with the wind farms in the middle of a Chinook.

I have annoyed a few drivers of plug-in vehicles by complimenting their choice of “coal fueled car”

I’ve noticed one thing where I live. I’ve been here 12 years and the cold season seems to start a little earlier and last a little longer. Nothing really noticeable unless you’re keeping personal records, or taking pictures. What I notice is that it gets cold at night first, and then daytime low temps follow. Used to happen in late September, then mid-September, now in late August. I make a note of when I start the furnace and when I turn it off, which is earlier/later every year now.
I’m just glad I have a furnace to run. 🙂

Forgot to add, all those protesters were wearing insulated clothing made of synthetic materials, which are derived from – wait for it: PETROLEUM.

The disconnect is strange.

Carlton G Long

Old Joe should, from this point onward, refrain from wearing any clothing with athletic logos.

My Mom wasn’t a gun fan, but she kept a Louisville Slugger by the bed.

And for years before I could carry in my car, a bat, glove and ball were always in the back footwell.

I keep fall back weapons, safely hidden, in various places in the house. If the intruder isn’t dead, it won’t be for lack of ammo. And there will be no civil suits because there will only be one story told…mine.

Sadly, the Orc has a family, and they too can lawyer up….

This is off subject, but I was wondering how well the ‘cocks not glocks’ theory worked at UT
