CAIR demands investigation of US attack

| March 19, 2017

Somehow I got on CAIR’s mailing list. Yesterday, they sent out an email demanding that the US answer for an attack that they claim was launched against a mosque in Syria near Raqqa.

“We call for a full and transparent investigation of allegations that our military killed dozens of Syrian civilians while they were at prayer. The results of this investigation must be made public to either refute the allegations or, if the reports are correct, to take the actions necessary to hold those responsible accountable and to prevent such incidents in the future. The war against ISIS and terrorism can never be advanced over the bodies of Syrian civilians.”

The article that they sent me to support their contention comes from something called Bellingcat. The problem is that it leans heavily on eye witness reports on the ground.

Mohamed al-Shaghel, a local activist, told the New York Times that the the people in the building had “no affiliation with any military faction or any political side.” Other locals told monitoring group Airwars that the building is part of a mosque and a religious school. Mr. Abdul Kareem of OGN mentioned that the “according to locals, this is not a [Jabhat] Fateh al-Sham or Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham facility. This is a Tablighi Jamaat facility, where they gather every Thursday to go and give dawah to the people.”

Some have suggested that a recruiting meeting, taking place in the meeting rooms of the mosque, for organizations like JFS or HTS was targeted.

It is thus possible that the US was aiming to kill one or more high value targets, or a group of militants, linked to the various Syrian groups that are designated by the US as a terrorist organisation. Over the past years, the US has unilaterally been striking individual members of Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra) and HTS. These strikes are thus separate from the CJTF-OIR campaign.

Perhaps the US was really not aware that the targeted building was a mosque built in recent years, which would explain their noticeable surprise in their initial claims from the ground that a mosque was bombed. After all, their imagery documented to them that the sole mosque they were aware of was still standing and undamaged, which explains why they said they targeted a location 50 feet away from the mosque – they referred to the old mosque.

Yeah, they were probably the same eye witnesses that complained George HW Bush had bombed a powdered milk factory in Bagdad during Desert Storm.

Or this lady;

Eye witnesses are notoriously unreliable – especially eye witnesses in that part of the world.

From the LA Times;

After the Pentagon released the photo, some Syrians said on social media that the building destroyed was a newly opened mosque and that the standing structure was an older place of worship.

The military is investigating whether civilians were inadvertently killed or injured, Davis added, but he said the photo showed the mosque was “relatively unscathed.”

“As of the moment, we’re not aware of any credible allegations of civilian casualties,” he said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a British-based monitoring group with a network of activists in Syria, reported Thursday that an airstrike hit the mosque in Al Jinah village and at least 42 people were killed. The group did not specify who launched the air attack.

I wonder if CAIR will get just as exercised over the fact that ISIS murderers are hiding among the innocent population. I haven’t heard a peep from CAIR about the systematic murder of thousands of Syrian and Iraqi citizens.

Their website claims that they oppose ISIS, they take pride in the fact that ISIS has condemned their organization, but you know, I hear that a tenet of their religion allows them to lie to kafirs and infidels, so that works against any statement they might make.

Don’t let shame you into a cult conversion.

These muslim maggots are so freaking STUPID, ignorant, its unbelievable! That picture of that ragheaded bitch holding up two “unfired rounds” that hit her house? how in hell do you do that, did they throw them at her house….DIZZY BITCH, LYING S.O.B.S throw that stinking C.A.I.R. right out of this country…and you are right, I DON’T CARE!

Hayabusa

CAIR is nothing but the North American propaganda wing of the Palestinian terror group Hamas. Feel free to ignore anything they say, ever.

Ex-PH2

Have those bomb factories in Syria been shut down yet? No?

HMCS(FMF) ret

What? No picture of “Islamic Rage Boy” to back up their “claims” of atrocities?

CAIR’s “A” game is getting weak…

DirtDart

That ammo looks funny. One round looks as a standard round, but the other appears to be a British style. As I was told: it doesn’t feed properly in our weapons.

But the coming from clock boys backers and agitators it would not surprise me if this was a attention whore plea

The Dead Man

Re-read the picture boss. Those are supposed to be two rounds that hit her house. Unless people are throwing shit at her house anyway.

Retired Grunt

Isn’t our ammo still green and red tipped…. I nearly spit out my drink when I read the caption of the woman holding two unfired rounds that “hit” her house…. geez.

USMCMSgt (Ret)

Those two rounds she’s holding up? They’re probably key-chain ornaments.

PFM

Obviously special ops snuck up in the middle of the night and threw them at her house – hard.

David

I’m guessing 7.62×51 and a .300 Mag. The 300 throws better.

Ret_25X

I agree…a full scale investigation of the CAIR ties to terror organizations is warranted by their words and actions.

Oh…wait….

DirtDart

Bwhahaha – dude your killing me. Can’t wait for that. Throw La Raza on that list too !

The piece from Bellingcat was laughably bad journalism. It was written by a Dutch hoser named Christiaan Triebert who is apparently desperate to promote himself as an investigative war correspondent, photojournalist, conflict analyst, giver of TED talks, and all-around incredibly cool dude.

“A text in Latin is visible on the alleged weapon remnant: “WT: 52.0 kg”. ‘WT’ is an abbreviation for “weight”, possibly referring to the weight of the missile.” Stop the presses, Christiaan.

The reality is that Triebert evidently has no training in journalism, or experience in the military. According to his bio, he “graduated from King’s College London’s Department of War Studies, after obtaining two bachelor degrees from the University of Groningen…” with some Arabic thrown in.

Poetrooper

Perry, do you suppose that site’s name, bellingcat, might have something to do with the fable about the mice belling the cat so that he’s rendered harmless?

And just who do you suppose the cat is for bellingcat’s purposes?

Perry Gaskill

Poe, there seem to be separate agendas at work. Bellingcat, the site, looks like it’s a wannabe WikiLeaks focused on some sort of anarchist or one-world track. Triebert, on the other hand, appears to be fairly clearly an ISIS sockpuppet whether he realizes it or not.

A very rough guess about the backstory to this is that ISIS now has a serious image problem with western media. No surprise since they tend to cut the heads off reporters, and put the video on YouTube. So, here comes Triebert willing to tell ISIS’s side of the story, but unfortunately there are informational gaps and flaws in what ISIS is feeding him. He’s also got the problem that if he tries to explain the gaps and flaws, he risks having sources to ISIS dry up entirely.

PFM

Lucky for him the text was in Latin and not English. Those crazy Romans were waay ahead of the game.

PFM

Almost forgot they didn’t use LII kg – they used a suspicious 52 that originated with Arabic numerals – I smell a breaking story here!

2/17 Air Cav

CAIR demands? Fuck ’em.

timactual

“The U.S. military launched an airstrike at a building in northern Syria targeting what it says were senior Al Qaeda militants ”

“senior …militants” eh? I guess after 15+ years they finally got all the leaders are are now after the rank-and-file.

PFM

Senior nowadays means in charge for more than a month.

Ex-PH2

I smell a lawsuit forming….

A Proud Infidel®™

The Council of Idiot Asswipe Reprobates (or is it the Council of Asswipe Islamic Reprobates?)can go fuck themselves to death upon a pile of moldy pig shit for all I care, I PERMANENTLY stopped giving even half a flying fuck of a rotten ratshit about how pedophile-worshiping fleabag goatfuckers feel about anything starting on 9/11/2001, FUCK THE MUZZIES, ALLAH PIGSHIT!

Roger in Republic

Just remember boys and girls, any building we bomb in the fight against ISIS will suddenly become a Mosque. Or a Mosque inside a hospital, next to an elementary school.

UpNorth

Built over top of an air raid shelter. For womyns and chirrun.

Blaster

Well, couldn’t the US Miltary/govt claim inshallah? I mean it can’t happen unless it’s Allah’s will.

Right?

It sucks to have your BS used against you.

rgr769

Know how you can tell when a moose slime is lying? First, if he is not talking to another muslim of the same sect, he is not likely telling the truth. Second, if he is talking to the infidel or its media, he is definitely lying. Third, if his lips are moving, he is absolutely lying. Same rules for the female moose limb bitches in a bag, except their statements only count half as much, according to their “holy” book. If, after the smoke clears, there are dead ‘Slamos, I call it good.

GDContractor

“The war against ISIS and terrorism can never be advanced over the bodies of Syrian civilians.”
But it’s a legitimate tactic in Muslims vs. Christians or Shia versus Sunni or Sunni versus Shia.
How bout a big FUCK YOU, CAIR? Every IED emplacement that I witnessed in Afghanistan began at a building that had big speakers on each corner. And on good nights, we were able to watch those good Muslim boys getting martyred upon their return to that same building. CAIR would have a lot more legitimacy if they wouldn’t call for investigations every time their own religious colleagues blow up a mosque or blow up a religious PROCESSION in the name of Allah.

OWB

Can’t seem to work up any care about CAIR’s opinion of anything. Nope. A definite no-go.

Will let everyone know if that should change.

19D2OR4 - Smitty

Since when do our rifles fire 7.62×39 with the casing still attached?

That would be a neat trick.

Poetrooper

Those horrible American war criminals THREW those UNFIRED rounds at her house, doncha know?

ex-OS2

I thought all the women and children refugees from Syria were either in Europe or Minnesota.

Silentium Est Aureum

CAIR wants what?

Yeah, behold the field in which I grow my fucks, and see that it is barren….

ALVO

…and not a single shit was given, nay, nor even a whiff of effluence downwind.

Just An Old Dog

Whenever I hear the acronym CAIR I can’t help but think of a comedy skit with two stoner Muslims stumbling out of a Mosque and going to the scene of a car bombing.
Looking at the smoking crater and carnage one looks at he other and says ” Dude, wheres my CAIR?”

ALVO

That’s some funny stuff there!

The Old Maj

Don’t they have enough fake hate crimes to investigate stateside? Why do they have overseas investigate fake war crimes?
