Ice Cave Selfie
Canadian Your Shot photographer Jeff Wallace posed on this ice cave in Athabasca, Canada for scale. He said, “The piece I’m standing on, and huge wall behind me was the ceiling earlier this year. Sometime in September 2015, it collapsed to the floor sealing off the cave. An opening has emerged in the lower right of the frame, allowing folks to explore more of the cave again.”

Damn! On the road and found a hotspot to check in and damned if I didn’t make the top ten. I’ll take it ya bunch of deplorable nose pickers. Now get your shit together, ruck up and get ready to move out…cause I am.
Rucking? Pffft! Don’t threaten me with a good time.
One of my former HS students, now a new Marine, posted a double picture.
One has a hiker sitting on a ledge over a beautiful valley, with the words “Nothing can take the joy out of hiking.”
Below is a picture of a line of military guys with rucks going up a hill in less-than-optimal conditions.
Nicely done, a good rucking from time to time feeds the soul….
Of course my rucking these days in done in the cockpit of my sailboat with the sails up and some music playing while the wind and the waves just sooth my soul…
Aside from feeding silly ego trips (firstesssnesss!!!), the photo above is awesome in it scale and the fact that it was shot just ahead of moonrise. Lovely piece of work.
Oh baybee, I love it when ya call me names.
My pleasure, IDC_SARC
Top Ten again!
I remain constant
James Walls, phony UH-1 pilot still works balls.
Not first….but have a great weekend all of you!!
This just in: per the State Bar of California, Daniel A. Bernath IS STILL DISBARRED!
If anyone is interested, the reason why may be found here.
Yo, Danni-boi:
Too bad, so sad
Sucks to be you
Received your due
Court said, “Screw You . . .
. . . and the horse you rode in on.”
(Note: linked photo may be NSFW/around prudes, clergy,, or small children.)
This never gets old…it makes me smile every time I see it….
Hopefully Hondo, in just a few more weeks you will have another good link for us after his go around in court with Senior Chief & Diane.
Reading about his stupidity never gets old.
Danni-boi will be back in court in a month… and the boys at the BTJT Deli (Home of the OCCKMEAT SAMMICH) will be offering a “two-fer” when he shows up!
Here’s hoping that a month from today he’ll have a nice stay at one of the finer government institutions of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.
Top 20? Top 25? I’ll take it. Have a nice weekend.
Here’s my contribution: Naval SWCC vs. fish:

Happy St. Patty’s day, everyone!
Fight back- don’t take any crap from that carp!
bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!
Awwwww quit your carping!
Actually, that was cool!
I’ll bet he needed three aspirin for that haddock.
I would have. Even first, but I was out shopping for a birthday present for the Vice President of the proud woman owned business that I work for. He turns 61 years young tomorrow. It seems like only yesterday that he was a lucky spermizoid navigating his mother’s plumbing.
Maybe you can buy him the other half of the wit he so desperately needs.
How to Speak German For Idiots
According to my new DNA ancestry results I am about 20% Irish, its payback time liver.
Who needs DNA when Granddad was born in Belfast?
That DNA test I did shocked the shit out of me. I found out I’m part hispanic and part Persian and part Arabic. I can make fun of chicanos and ragheads now and no one can say shit because I are one.
Headed out for a pint and a wee dram (or two).
“Slàinte mhath!”
27TH!!
Ahhhhh crap, that’s what I get for hangin’ out in my shop too long.
Present! Recovering from minor heart surgery (couple of stents). Guess I really am getting old.
Glad to hear you’re on the mend!
UMPTEENTH and I once again claim Honorary First. I go run some errands and look what happens…
Air Force’s oldest HC-130 plane retires from Patrick AFB
The U.S. Air Force’s first HC-130P/N has taken its last flight from Patrick Air Force Base to its final destination: an Arizona “boneyard” for retired military aircraft.
King 52, the first HC-130 configured for Air Force rescue in 1964, departed beachside Brevard County on Monday morning. The aging plane flew to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, said Maj. Cathleen Snow, 920th Rescue Wing spokeswoman.
King 52 — which bears tail number 4852 and is nicknamed “The Lone Wolf’ — had been stationed at Patrick AFB since mid-2015. Labeling the plane “a hangar queen,” Snow said it was grounded during much of its stay with a flight control issue.

This one’s too good not to share:
A cowboy, who just moved to Wyoming from Texas, walks into a bar and orders three mugs of Bud.
He sits in the back of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn. When he finishes them, he comes back to the bar and orders three more.
The bartender approaches and tells the cowboy, “You know, a mug goes flat after I draw it. It would taste better if you bought one at a time…”
The cowboy replies, “Well, you see, I have two brothers. One is an Airborne Ranger, the other is a Navy Seal, both serving overseas
somewhere. When we all left our home in Texas, we promised that we’d drink this way to remember the days when we drank together.
So I’m drinking one beer for each of my brothers and one for myself.”
The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and leaves it there. The cowboy becomes a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same way. He orders three mugs and drinks them in turn.
One day, he comes in and only orders two mugs. All the regulars take notice and fall silent.
When he comes back to the bar for the second round, the bartender says, “I don’t want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my condolences on your loss.”
The cowboy looks quite puzzled for a moment, then a light dawns in his eyes and he laughs.
“Oh, no, everybody’s just fine,” he explains, “It’s just that my wife and I joined the Baptist Church and I had to quit drinking.
“Hasn’t affected my brothers though….”
That is a riot. I am retelling it as soon as I end this sentence.
Done. Thanks.
Is Phildo still working balls?
Any word on Psul/Palmer of the Ballsack? What about Elaine Ricci?
Maybe Danni-boi needs to be hooking up with Psul and QuEeFeRs and getting classes in “Prison Etiquette for Fresh Fish”?
Rumor has it that it’s Bernasty’s turn to work Phildo’s balls.
Psaul turns 61 tomorrow. Do help build some team building, the Board Of Directors will be toasting Psaul at the Clover Beer Fest being held at RFK Stadium in DC. Anyone from the blog want to meet us there?

Unfortunately, the website says the discounted tickets are no longer available. Hack was dragging his ass, and it looks like he will need to kill his brain cells somewhere else.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day all! I have a question I hope someone around TAH can help with. Now that I’m retired, I’ve been looking for something worthwhile to do with what spare time I have. I’ve been looking into the Coast Guard Auxiliary, but I don’t know anything about it other than what I can find on their official website.
Does anyone have any experience with the CGAUX? I appreciate any help you can provide.
I know a guy that worked with the Sea Cadets. He might know about the CG Aux.
Another option if you are near a military installation is to see if their family support group is active and might need some volunteers.
Some states even have military retiree groups. The one I belong to is mostly social but does upon occasion do something for the troops. They also seem to know when a unit needs something.
Why yes, I can help you. Assume you are a boater? I was in 14-6 in the Northern Virginia area. I enjoyed it and had great experience with fellow members. But, in this area, most were former/active military so we had no poser issues. This important because the Aux wears uniforms now and then and there can be a tendency to take on a CG official illusion. If you’ve been here long it is similar to Heavy Chevy and his CAP experience pretending to be a USAF LtCol when he was something in the CAP.
The best part about it was the courtesy inspections of boats if the owner asked. There are some really bad hazards out there. More than once, I exited and said lets talk outside because the boat was a ticking firebomb. What we gave them was a list of stuff that they should fix and emphasize that we didn’t enforce or report anything. If the boat was good we gave them a decal for that year and that usually meant the real Coast Guard would leave them alone…but no guarantee.
The other thing we did was cruise our area and lend assistance and/or tow. Good news was you could write off the gas etc as charity but the bad news was you had to be in uniform, and, no adult bevs on board.
I felt I contributed a lot by the vessel inspections because a lot of folks buy an old boat with no clue as to the dangers.
Check out Patriot Guard Riders. Although there are no doubt a few posers in there, they eventually get weeded out and shamed into leaving the group.
I ran with them for a couple of years in houston.
it is an honor to stand a flag line for the ones that cannot stand anymore.
They are all over the place and always need help.
You don’t have to even ride a motorcycle to be in them, all you have to do is to stand for the ones that can’t.

42nd, the answer to everything! This is the third time I’ve gotten 42. Its getting to be the answer more and more.
Ah, the Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Also the official game of Texas.
42nd made me think of 42nd street, which made me think of “she’s a 42nd streeter”–which made me think of the song those words are from, which made me think of Al Jolson’s version of “She’s a Latin from Manhattan” ..so, here it is:
I was getting a root canal. One of these days I’m gonna get in on this and be first.
I’m making up for it with a nice Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout to celebrate St. Patricks Day.
Beannachtam na Feile Padraig, Sláinte!
I have not had the Cappuccino, yet. I have a hankering for the Little Sumpin’, and had the Sucks a few times. On occasion, Costco’s in Virginia carry them in large bottles.
For those that have never had the pleasure to indulge in one of their beers, give them a shot. You will not be disappointed.

One of the few things I miss about CA are the microbrews I could get. Fortunately, Kappy’s is everywhere, and there are a couple of well-stocked stores where I can occasionally indulge in a six-pack of my newest favorite, Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin.
Ballast Point lost me with that weird Curry Beer they had. Total Junk and one of the only drain pours I’ve had in a number of years. If I can’t choke it down to give it a review on Beer Advocate it has seriously gone off track
John Giduck – the turd with a face!
Just a couple of random thoughts before all the geezers in the Eastern Time Zone hit the fartsack for the night.
I raise my mug of genuine Irish Cream coffee in memory of my Door Gunner and the 10 other soldiers who perished 45 years ago today when a grenade got loose in the crew compartment of their helicopter. RIP, Crock. You are not forgotten.
And 38 years ago yesterday at the post hospital chapel on Fort Carson, some gal named Ms. Smith became Mrs. Claw and we headed out for our honeymoon to Edgemont, South Dakota in the middle of a pretty good blizzard. Couldn’t let a little snow stop us from missing out on that year’s calving season. (snerk)
Not forgotten, Mr. Claw. Crock had a good friend. Congrats on your happier anniversary. Our best to Scooby and Mrs. Claw.
Mrs Claw is a Postman…rain nor sleet nor snow thing. Hope the stately Claw manor and all occupants are doing well this winter.
Happy anniversary to you and your no doubt beautiful bride and God Bless those that gave their tomorrows so we could have our todays.
Well, I’m going to leave all of you with your favorite singer, ’cause she has a question fer ye.
“I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way”
Barkeep, a round of Crybullies* for my friends, and crank up the tunes!

Yesterday, H. “Wideload” Clinton, the woman who would be queen, is nearly finished mourning her loss and will be, as she put it, coming out of the woods. Why? She says it’s to bring people together. I thought she accomplished that last November when millions of us went to the polls and, as one, gave her a phuk off send off. Private citizen Wideload thinks she is missed and the country needs her. Yeah, and Benghazi was all about a video.
Yeah, I’m sure she’s going to be instrumental in focusing uniting Americans, preserving gun rights, promoting respect for law enforcement, etc. It will be wonderful to hear her soothing voice of reason once again.
…focusing on
The original way is rather nice, too. Except for that voice of reason crack.
66th…just high enough to announce that Dennis Chevalier is still a LSOS too afraid to come back to the Pineywoods and face real veterans.
Those who I have spoken with from the Texas State Guard hang their heads in shame when his name is mentioned because they know who he is and how much of a LSOS he is.
At least we had the good sense to boot him when we found out what he was. We’re much more cautious these days.
In the continuing story of blatant failures of the idiotic ideology called ‘the socialist state’, Venezuela is clamping down on bakeries for not making state-approved bread. The government moronically insists that it’s all the fault of the bakeries and pastry guys, instead of Maduro’s failure to import enough wheat to meet the needs of the people.
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/americas/venezuela/article138964428.html
There are links to several other items of interest in that article, including one about chaos continuing to reign in that country. Triple digit inflation still rules there, too.
So much for the wannafulla wannnafulla shit crap that is socialism.
If you are a WWII history buff, as no doubt several hundred of my best friends here are, here is a piece from Strategy Page and Austin Bay about WWII, the Willow Run factory where they made B-24 Liberators and how Trump’s visit tied them all together.
I am just amazed continually at the number of planes, tanks and 40+ billion rounds of ammunition that America made to win the greatest conflict in the history of civilization.
This piece does them well.

It’s fuckjing Breitbart…

Oh well, I clicked the wrong tab…
OK. So is Joan trying to tell us that Hondo’s Action Zone holds the Extra Large Snack Sack?/sarc
Do I have that right? That’s pretty risqué for this group. Some may be offended by that suggestion./smile
Wait!! What?? Where’d the Hondo modeling picture go to?
Spoil sport.

OK, Thanks. Disregard my comment. I screwed up.
The Russians hacked me at just the millisecond I hit the post comment button. Yeah, that’s what happened.
But I still say it was posted to the WOT and while I was typing my comment it moved to the other post.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it./smile

Any of y’all know anything about this group? Do they vet properly? Any other info to share?
