Richard Stinson; phony

| January 22, 2017

Someone sent us the story of Richard Stinson who is from Nevada, but he’s acting up in Iowa;

During a traffic stop near Ames High School in late November, Richard Stinson, 27, told an officer he had blue lights on his vehicle because he was a firefighter. Two weeks later when Stinson came to the Ames Police Department to talk to officers about the blue lights, he claimed he was a fire chief who owned a private company.

Three days later, he pulled up to an accident at Duff and Airport Road in Ames and told both drivers he was a firefighter-paramedic. And Ames police did not think that was the end of the story.

Folks in Ames Iowa have been coming forward an talking about their contacts with Stinson. You know he had to pretend military credentials;

Employees at the Ames Great Clips on Lincoln Way have also come forward this week, claiming that in November Stinson had walked in carrying two handguns on his waist, explaining he was an Army investigator visiting businesses in the area, investigating people posing as veterans.

He did have some military service, but “all he could be” burned out pretty fast;

Whoa. Dick “Two Guns” Stinson, a former E1 over three months, is the type of crim that concerns me. Right or wrong, I look at his pic, I read what he is said to have done, and I think, “He’s got a secret, or two or three.”

Anonymous Tipper

I’m the one that submitted him. I won’t get into details how and why here, Jonn knows and that’s enough.

He does have MANY secrets. He has claimed to be a pastor, a disable vet who has seen it all – you name it, he’s done it (Iraq, A-stan, Korea) and all the secret squirrel stuff that goes with it. I know for a fact that he did not complete basic, he injured himself and had to wait discharge.

He and his wife are dangerous con artists. They have stolen money and literally owe thousands. They routinely use the disabled vet/PTSD line and get people breeding dogs for service animals to lower their fees or give them the animal for free and then they turn around and sell the animals themselves.

He is currently behind bars. He has been there numerous times over the years for various things all from driving while barred to theft.

Silentium Est Aureum

4 months and rocketed all the way up to E-1.

That’s some low-speed, high-drag shit right there. Probably didn’t even make it past basic. More likely than not was sitting in the Army equivalent of a holding company until his paperwork got processed and he got shitcanned.

JimV

A Command Private for sure. Was he in charge of the KP patrol?

26Limabeans

Nah, he was the outside man hosing down the loading dock and dumpster area.

UpNorth

I think he was a grease pit commando.

lily

I got to be a command private of a strike team. My platoon Sargent got mad at a specialist for not wanting to lead and gave me the job. We were at camp bondsteel in Kosovo in year 2000. Isn’t that scary?

HMCS(FMF) ret

Hey, he’s an awardee of the prestigious “National Defense Service Medal”, so he has that going for him…

Awwww, Hell… dude is loooking to spend quite a bit of time at the all he will snarf down “deli” at the local poundhimintheass jail, ran by BTJT Enterprise.

“BTJT Enterprise – Home of the COCKMEAT SAMMICH”

Retired Grunt

Considering only 1 to 1.5% of our current population choose to serve, I’d have to say that the NDSM is pretty prestigious, lol.

Just sayin’

Ncat

But this guy, and others, prove the NDSM is actually considerably less prestigious than the simple words “honorable discharge.”

A Proud Infidel®™

WTF was he, Command Private Major of the Army? I’m sure he’s pissed off enough of the wrong people by now to where he’ll soon be the “property” of Bubba & Thor in more than one PMITA facility.

Another DINGLEBERRY.

Green Thumb

Yeah.

This guys breath probably smells like balls.

Green Thumb

Another felonious shitbag.

I could see this maggot showing up and claiming to be a manhole inspector.

Stolen Valor…..the Rancid Cherry topping the Shit Sundae.
Who knows what lurks beneath?

Just for clarification. Nevada in the news story is probably Nevada, IA and not the state of. Nevada, IA is 15 miles from Ames. Given his in-processing was through the Johnston MEPS, I think it likely he is an Iowa Resident.

Ex-PH2

I think I’ve read enough. This guy is a whack job waiting to find the right excuse to do something very bad. Impersonating firefighters and paramedics isn’t just a funny trick. It endangers other peoples’ lives. If he isn’t in jail, I want to know why.

2/17 Air Cav

Yeah, that’s what I have in mind. too. I’m wondering what he has already done, using those ruses and masquerades, that the police have not connected him to–yet. He’s got some serious creepy all over him.

Andy11M

Place of separation; Ft Benning. And he was SUPPOSED to go to Campbell. So I’m guessing he made it far enough through training for the computer at DA to spit out an assignment? If he’s acting this stupid now, I wonder what he was like on Sand Hill?

Ret_25X

You know what he was like…we all know one…

We had one in my platoon (Harmony Church, 1986). The Drills had unique methods there for the malcontents and assbags…

Wilted Willy

Jonn, so good to see you posting again! I sure hope you are feeling better and not chocking up chunks of lung anymore? I will still be praying for your full recovery! Good luck and stay warm and rested!

ex-OS2

Cocksucker.

Mark A Lauer

Well, damnit! That’s the kind of stuff I do to pick up chicks. This bastard is steeling my moves!

As I’ve told ladies who are of importance to me, which means not only family members but friends as well, NEVER pull over if lit up by an Unmarked law enforcement vehicle during the day. Put on flashers and use hand signals to show the driver behind you intend to pull over when it is safe to do so in a populated area: fast food, 7-11, etc. And even then, consider going inside the establishment and have the LEO follow you. And … NEVER pull over at night except under conditions described above. A real LEO will understand and probably tell you that you acted appropriately. I’ve known several LEOs, go to church with some, knew several career Sailors who became LEOs after retirement, and I have never had any of them tell me this advice is wrong. Ladies, you can’t be too careful. Protect yourselves. And men, don’t think being male prevents some lowlife from trying to light you up with the intent of some bullshittery. Folks, protect yourselves. Ladies, this goes doubly for you. Feel uncomfortable leaving a store, day or night? Ask the manager to walk you to your car and to stay until you drive off. If ‘things’ don’t feel right, there is usually a reason. Follow your instincts. The Russian and I have attended several seminars given by local LEOs and they give the same advice. I’ve also been told at these seminars to lay on the horn if ‘things’ don’t feel right. Don’t worry about being embarrassed. Embarrassment fades; being harmed doesn’t. Blessings to all.

ex-OS2

Excellent advice Chief, thank you.

David

wife once had to stop in at a WalMart where the manager offered to walk her out – when she declined, he basiclly told her that due to her race, he INSISTED on walking her out. Not naming races… but while she was appreciative, she has avoided that store since then.

Graybeard

If that was in Vidor, Tx I know the races involved.

Sadly.

WOW! He rocketed to E-1 and was awarded the highly coveted NDSM in less than four months? Think of the possibilities if he had finished his four year obligation. We’re talking stars here.

I predict future appearances when he returns as (select one option or combination of options): SEAL, Ranger, SF, COL, Major General, MCPON, Navy Cross recipient. He could have been a SEAL, Major General and Navy Cross recipient.

Of course, if he returns, he’ll have a service dog, doorag, Harley, leather vest with dozens of patches, sunglasses, thousand yard stare, etc. Oh, and a veteran cause for which he is collecting donations with a promise that 100% of the proceeds go to the cause.

He’ll be baaaaack …

Combat Historian

I’m really impressed with this guy, he won the NDSM after only four months and was then let out so he can be a fire chief and an undercover CID agent…I am indeed duly impressed…///

It’s Nevada, Iowa. (Not the state of Nevada)

Nadine

I’m getting emails from him saying he wants to buy a house but I smelled a rat from beginning.
