Tuesday morning feel good stories
Last month, 21-year-old Frederick Demonte Walden was shot by a homeowner in Benson, North Carolina as Walden broke a window to the house and tried to crawl through. The homeowner shot him in the arm and Walden has been in the hospital since. He was released from the hospital this weekend into the waiting arms of the local constabulary.
Tw armed thieves approached a homeowner in his driveway in Houston, Texas. They demanded money and shot him once in the back. The homeowner then drew his own handgun and fired back which influenced the pair to flee the scene. Police say that the homeowner probably saved his own life by engaging the pair. It’s not known if either of thieves were injured in the exchange.
Another OfferUp Sale went bad in Indianapolis, Indiana when a teenager enticed a man to a meetup to sell a phone where the teen tried to rob the man. The police interviewed the man when they arrived on the scene and decided the shooting was self-defense and released the shooter. The teen was DRT (dead right there).
In Savannah, Georgia a thief tried to rob a man in his parking lot. A gun fight broke out between the two. The victim had non-life-threatening injuries. The thief was DRT (dead right there).

In 4 incidents of Legally armed citizens protecting themselves, 2 bad guys are dead, others injured. Know how to properly defend yourself, beginning with “situational awareness”. And you Craigslist shoppers; why in hell do you go to a dark, lonely place to make a buy? Meet the seller in a public place with people around, and take an armed friend with you. I frequently accompany someone who is going to buy, and on one occasion, I deterred a robbery by being there and being armed.
I have heard … a lot of the “local” police stations will let buyers meet in the station lobby to do business. The thieves usually don’t show up for the meet 🙂
It’s like thieves don’t take the time to go to the range or something…
“It’s like thieves don’t take the time to go to the range or something…”
That’s because they’re standing in line at the local gun store, you know, with proper ID and all, to BUY the dang gun and they don’t have TIME to go to the range and practice. And then 80% have to leave the line to pick up their gov’t welfare check, then go get BACK into line. Who knew getting a gun was so time-consuming???
