Friday morning feel good stories

| October 7, 2016

There was a gunfight at Burger King in Indianapolis, Indiana. Five men went into the restaurant intending to rob the establishment until they were confronted by a licensed customer. No one was injured in the exchange of lead, but the thieves were thwarted in their endeavor. Police suspect that the thieves were involved in four other robberies. The Indy Star reports that all five were arrested.

A year ago, in Knoxville, Tennessee, 35-year-old Mark Brandon Caldwell was shot by a homeowner when the resident returned home early and caught Caldwell stealing his stuff. Caldwell went to court this week and he was sentenced to 13 years in prison to be served consecutively with an eight year sentence from another aggravated burglary case. So, he’ll be gone a while.

46-year-old inmate Ricky Lynn Hall was being treated at a hospital in Houston, Texas when he got the brilliant idea to fashion some headphones into a stabbing device and taking a medical student hostage in order to facilitate his escape. The sheriff’s deputy on duty at the hospital ordered him to drop the stabbing device and when Ricky refused, the deputy shot him twice in the chest. But, luckily, for Ricky, he was at the hospital, so he may survive.

When thugs plan to rob a restaurant and its patrons, they might be smarter to choose a gun free joint. Having a legally armed customer confront them really screws up their whole plan. Trying to make a shiv and put it to use while under armed guard by a deputy can get your chest ventilated.
Being intelligent and thinking a plan through just doesn’t happen among these two bit hoodlums.

Okay, here’s another sterling example of a failed system. In the TN case, the knucklehead had amassed “six prior convictions for aggravated burglary and burglary” according to the linked source. He was on parole when he committed the burglary that got his ass shot. But wait! There’s more. When he was arrested for the burglary in which he was shot, police found in his truck the goods from another burglary that had occurred that same day. Those two are what he rec’d 13 years for when a single aggravated burglary alone could have netted him 15 years. That’s EIGHT separate burglaries and Lord only knows how many he committed w/o being caught. He’s 35. This guy marked himself ineligible to be in society years ago and yet he kept getting a pass and even parole. What’s more, he sucks at what he does. He keeps getting his ass caught and, once, first shot then caught.

I’m glad to see that the judicial systen (koff koff) at least gave him consecutive sentences instead of concurrent sentences.

I’m thinking that the news probably got that wrong. But, yeah, if it’s right, it’s a start.

Graybeard

One of the local Houston news outlets had a series of 4 mugshots of the perp.

In brief – he is a poster boy for being burned out on drugs. He didn’t think ’cause he fried all his brain cells years ago.

Lots of Darwin awards today, and a Burger King costumer that could use some range time.

Had that been a Texas What-A-Burger things would’ve ended much better…

I still think that whatever Judge let this assclown out on bail, should serve some time with him, say about 2 years? Maybe then, they would think twice about letting these repeat offenders out on bail so easily? And still my ass wipe brother is still getting his 3K a month 100% PTSD disability check from the gubermint every month! I can’t get the VA or the FBI to even look at this assbag. A phony DD214, phony Purple Heart and many others, none of which were earned? Just do a search on my last name and you will see his story. Jonn does a wonderful service with this site. I only wish LE would put in half the effort as Jonn does? Any idiot could get arrested for doing half the shit my brother has done!!! Thanks for letting me vent!
