Jersey pipe bomb misses targets
According to CBS News, a pipebomb exploded along the route of a 5k race in Seaside Park, New Jersey. It was timed to explode when competitors passed by the trash can where it was hidden, but a delay of the race threw the timing off;
No injuries were reported in the blast in Seaside Park, which occurred around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
According to city officials, there were possibly three pipe bombs in the same trash can, but only one exploded.
The 5k run was known locally as the “Seaside Semper Five Marine Corps Charity 5k”
According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, there were no injuries and no damage to surrounding structures.

The report I read said that multiple devices were found wired together, but unexploded. With that much residual evidence the Feds will have the maker in the bag in a short time. The secret to solving bomb cases is the massive amount of manpower the Feds can put on the case. Every hardware store in the tri-state area will get a visit from the FBI as soon as they know what they are looking for. Once they know the what, the who will pretty quick in coming.

The guy who did this was most likely from out of state. Only out-of-staters try to pump their own gas in Joisey and only out-of-staters put their pipe bombs in the green trash containers. Residents know that pipe bombs, grenades, and other explosive devices go in the blue containers. Cripes.
