Sunday morning feel good stories

| August 14, 2016

In Plant City, Florida, Gary Lynn Durham stopped his truck on the highway in front of Robert Padgett’s car. Durham then got out of his vehicle and approached Padgett. Padgett warned Durham and then pulled out his own gun and shot Durham – when police arrived on the scene, Padgett was performing CPR on Durham who was eventually DOT (dead over there) at the hospital. It turns out that Durham had just completed an 11-year stretch in prison for a road rage incident during which he had beat a man to death.

Dominic Neal went to visit his ex-girlfriend at her Hamilton Township, New Jersey home where she lived with her new boyfriend. The ex-girlfriend had a restraining order against Neal, who forced his way into the home – the new boyfriend, an off-duty corrections officer fired his own weapon three or four times as Neal made a gesture like he was drawing a gun. Neal was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital. The restraining order is in fine condition, I hear.

Some people are not wired to learn a lesson. 11 years in prison for a road rage murder, and one guy is still so weak that his road rage kicked in again. This time, was the last time. He’s taking a dirt nap now. Another can’t get it through his head, that a break up is forever, and walked right through a restraining order and made a threat that got him killed. She’s safe now.

An important question, why was he out and free to engage in road rage again? Given his history, I seriously doubt he was a model prisoner.

Road rage. Now we all have to have GoPro cameras on the dashboard to show the pohlease who started what and when.

Things become stranger and stranger these days.

I don’t think the New Jersey story is truly a “feel good” story. I hear that those NJ restraining orders are bulletproof. She couldn’t legally own a gun, so why did she feel like she had to date a gun, err, a cop to feel safe?

Pinto Nag

As high maintenance as men are, I wouldn’t date one just because he owned a gun! *snark*
