Guns and laws
Andy11M sends us a link about a CBS news producer who made a straw purchase of an AR-style rifle to prove how easy it is to buy a gun in Arlington, Virginia, on the outskirts of the nations’ capitol. Then she proves how easy it is to break gun laws – after filling out the ATF form 4473 and telling the Federal government that she was buying the gun for herself, she gave it to someone else;
Of course, nothing will happen to the ditz, because gun control laws are about control, not gun safety and a CBS news segment about how easy it is for a person without a criminal record to buy a legal item from a legal distributor somehow contributes to the “control” aspect of the whole thing. Now, if we’re all equal under the law, the producer should be made an example, but no prosecutor wants to spend his money on prosecution of the media.
Meanwhile, we find out that a legal gun dealer in Orlando reported the gunman who shot up Pulse last Sunday morning and actually refused to deal with him and reported his contact to the Feds, according to Fox News;
Robbie Abell, who co-owns Lotus Gunworks in South Florida, said Mateen was asking about the highest-level body armor.
Abell said the salesman knew that this was “not a question that a normal civilian would ask.”
He said that when Mateen was told the store doesn’t carry that product, he started texting and talking to someone on his cell phone in a Middle Eastern-sounding language.
He then asked about bulk ammunition before leaving the store empty-handed.
Abell said staff were concerned, so they contacted the authorities about the shopper’s suspicious behavior
They couldn’t provide a name or a photo of the man to the Feds, so the Feds dropped it. Of course, the Feds could have showed Abell pictures of Middle Eastern men that they were monitoring in the Orlando area and those pictures might have included the Orlando murderer – but that would be racist or profiling or something.

Nothing happened when NBC brought a 30 round magazine into their DC studio, so why should this be any different?
Well most of these tabloid media type are on the DNCs call and beck hell after seeing how much they donate to them I about had a hart attack ???
I’m still waiting for the DC police to arrest David Gregory.
Oh wait, that might go against their agenda.
Careful, AG Lynch might start filing charges against anyone who speaks out against the gun control rhetoric negatively. Just like she said about anti-Islam comments.
Is it still legal to refuse global warming data?
Refute dammit
Not if they get there hands on you ???
Have any of you tried to get the feds to do anything in response to violations of law? I have as a state election commissioner and I am here to tell you it is a frustrating waste of time. Forget about the US Attorney’s Office, they do not return phone calls. The FBI must be severely overworked and under staffed. Calls to them go to a duty agent and if you are lucky on a good day, the assigned agent may return a call.
I was in the Federal Building in Dallas about a year ago. Other than the security guards in the lobby, the building was apparently empty. They all work from home. Good Gig if you can get it I guess. I’m not categorically stating that working from home equals a decrease in productivity, but what I am saying is that when you make an effort to go to a federal agency face to face, might walk away frustrated as I did.
I’m sure that the liberal mainstream mess media will treat her lie the same way they do any of B. Hussein 0bama or Hitlery Cankles’s.
There’s nothing wrong or illegal about purchasing armor or bulk ammo, as some bleating lefties are claiming. However, I think there was something intangible that triggered the gun shop employee’s spidey senses about this guy being up to no good.
Now obviously if he wasn’t actually doing anything illegal at the time, they can’t detain him or chase him with a camera just because somebody didn’t get the warm-fuzzy off of him. They seem to have done their due diligence, while the FBI personnel sound like they were looking for an excuse to get out of doing work.
“but that would be racist or profiling or something.” – competence – that’s the word I was looking for. Anyone paying attention should know – you are on your own.
The gun store didn’t have a security system that included cameras? That’s a bit odd.
From what I hear, they did. It seems the asshole managed to avoid the FOV of all but one of them and never gave the one that did see him a good look at his face. It could be that that was the “off” behavior that the store employee keyed in on. Still, the Feds appear to have blown off the whole thing at the time.
They did but it was grainy.
Sounds like the Feds are helping Enrique Marquez build his defense. He got charged with a straw purchase over the two AR-15s he bought for the San Bernardino muslim terrorists. http://www.guns.com/2015/12/18/friend-of-san-bernardino-shooter-arrested-on-terrorism-firearms-charges/
I’ve heard that he converted to Islam, maybe he doesn’t need a defense? http://abc7.com/news/family-of-former-neighbor-of-san-bernardino-shooter-speak-out/1117917/
Did she go slaughter a bunch of innocent people? Because the control nuts say that when we have “assault” weapons it makes it easy for us slaughter lots of innocent people.
Has anybody dropped a dime on this bimbo yet? Is it not our civic duty to alert authorities about crimes being committed? If anybody lives around her, they might contact the DA, or somebody that is responsible for executing the law. There was a case several years ago where some guys security camera caught his next door neighbor’s teenage son sexually assaulting his dog. The guy was arrested for posessing child porn. He eventually got out of that charge, but it cost him. Just because she was making a how-to video does not exclude her from the law. What is next? How to smuggle Heroin into a jail? How to rob a bank? How to roll a joint? I knew a guy in the USN that used ,”I was just practicing for liberty” as a defense at Captain’s mast.
The knees can jerk both ways my friends.
A. Bribe a guard.
B. Team of four- two front men, a tail gunner, and a driver.
C. Please, really?
*smile*
A. mmmMaybe, or swaqllow it & poop it out later
B. Yeeahh, but that is a lot of people that know about the crime & you have to split up the loot or kill everybody else.
C. I got a feeling you do not need a video. Yes, really. Chief busted him sitting in Lower Level escape trunk twisting one up. Told the Old Man, he was just practicing. This was 79-80. I think he got 45/45 anyway.
I heard for the next news story she will send a bunch if classified, secret, and top secret emails from her gmail account
*of, sorry it’s hard to text and drive and drink but I have to so I can prove how easy it is

Dick Durbin says no self respecting hunter uses the AR-47 to hunt deer in illinois.
Michael Moore says:

I thought Illinois was a shotguns-only state when it comes to deer hunting.
It is, but don’t let facts get in the way of a hack politicians agenda.
So now the dumbocraps are harping on GUNNZZ! in regard to national security.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-florida-shooting-guns-idUSKCN0Z40AA
Unless I misunderstand the whole NICS check business, if you’re on a terrorist watch list, wouldn’t you be barred from buying GUNNZZZ! anyway?
I’m just trying to get my head around the hysterics involved in ‘DO something’.
not necessarily…typically people banned from buying guns have, y’know DONE something. People get on the terrorist watch lists by having a name similar to someone else rumored to be a terrorist, etc (supposedly that was what landed Teddy Kennedy on the no-fly list for years.) No due process, no judicial determination, rumors and innuendo. Exceedingly unreliable, and no process to get off it.
The NICS is the only data base that is checked in the so-called “backround check.” It contains the names and ID information on people convicted of felonies and misdemeanor domestic assault of subject to restraining orders, or persons who have been involuntarily confined in mental institutions (although many states are failing to report these people to the system. People listed on the no-fly list or a terrorist watch list who aren’t felons, spouse abusers, or reported mental cases are not going to be flagged as ineligible to purchase from an FFL dealer. The fake hysteria over guns is just for the LIV’s.
