The shoe toss saga continues (Updated w/videos)

Videos below the fold

Today Code Pink took their shoe-toss road show to the Iraqi Consulate on P Street, in Washington DC to “demand” the release of Muntadhar Al-Zeidi, the journalist who threw his shoe at George Bush a few weeks ago. Code Pink has grasped this thing around the throat like grim death and refuses to let it go. The clowns were demanding that Muntadhar Al-Zeidi be compensated. I guess we should buy him some better shoes and pay for lessons so he won’t throw little a little girl any more.

Needless to say, just like the protest TSO covered the other week, attendance was poor, even by the media;

Even though their press release included the names of people from 13 organizations, only six protesters were there;

The only one I recognized was Medea Benjamin. There were an IVAW rep present, but I’d never seen or heard of her. All I heard on the video is her first name, Rose, and there’s no Rose in IVAW.

Geoff Millard was one of the signatories to the letter they delivered to the Iraqi Embassy (about two miles from the protest at the consulate).

Dear Ambassador Sumaida’ie,
We, the undersigned, understand and sympathize with the sentiment expressed in the action of Iraqi journalist Muntadar al-Zaidi, who hurled his shoes at President Bush, “This is for the widows and orphans and all those killed in Iraq.” We, too, feel for the widows and orphans and all those killed in Iraq, thanks to the policies of the Bush administration. It is outrageous that Mr. al-Zaidi could get many years in prison for insulting George Bush, who is directly responsible for the deaths of 1.5 million Iraqis and 4,200 U.S. troops, and for the displacement of 5 million Iraqis. The one who should be in jail is Bush, not Muntadar al-Zaidi. We are concerned by reports that Mr. al-Zaidi has been badly beaten and has not had access to legal counsel.

We hold the Iraqi Government accountable for his treatment while in detention and we call on the Iraqi government to immediately release Mr. al-Zaidi without charges.

Sincerely,
Geoffrey Millard, Iraq Veterans Against the War

The Vets For Peace signed the letter, but Goodenow wasn’t there. He probably spotted a black helicopter and is hiding in his Mom’s basement.

In fact, the protesters were out-numbered by the police;

According to their press release, they went from the consulate to the Iraqi Embassy to deliver the letter to the ambassador.

Now, see, here’s the hypocrisy of the whole thing; last month, Medea and her band of goofballs took apple pie flowers and cards to the Iranian, Venezuelan and North Korean ambassadors. Nothing to our allies in Iraq, except now the Iraqis get a letter from the dumbasses telling the Iraqis how to run their judicial system. One might argue that some residents of Iran and North Korea might prefer a bit of a beat down compared to the hangings and executions that are suffered nearly daily in those two countries.

I know ya’all stuck through this post so you you could get a glimpse of the RTV reporter. Well, here you go;

Just like always, when I cover these things, I was the best looking one there.

I don’t know what the deal is with the video players today. I’ve uploaded these darn things to everything and finally got ’em to stick on Photobucket. Sorry for the delay. There’s another one on the way.

I suspect this one was so hard to load because Medea Benjamin is just so ugly and she’s so intellectually vacant. Listen to it all, she hits every moonbat talking point. Turn your volume down until the fire truck passes – it’s an earsplitter;

TSO

Does Shoe Tosser have an “h” in his name or not? On their presser it is “Montadhar” and the sign no “h”….

Raoul

Too bad Col Wright missed the protest due to her two weeks TAD with AIA (al-Qaeda in America).

AG1

These morons don’t even know that he was an Egyptian, not and Iraqi and his credentials as a “journalist” are somewhat suspect!

Sharku

Had that asshole tossed his shoes say six years ago he would be going for a ride through the old wood chipper.

defendUSA

Are ya trying to make me puke? LOL. Code Stinko and their male monkeys…

Skye

Uhmmm..which ones are the male monkeys???

olga

well, this RTVi correpondent is a new one, they used to have a nice looking guy stationed at their DC office, he was well educated, well-read, and well-bred but somewhat confused when it came to political good of the left-right as these points are in complete reverse order in Russia: Left is the US political right and Right are the US lefties…

yankeemom

They are trying so hard to remain important, aren’t they, bless their little misguided hearts…unfortunately, they just don’t have a clue when it comes to their own derangement.

Ray

“Uhmmm..which ones are the male monkeys???”

That’s easy Skye. They’re the ones with less facial hair.

GI JANE

Let somebody toss a couple of shoes at Obamessiah, and watch the Code Pink moonbats demand a lengthy prison sentence.
