Woman not guilty of felonious assault
YOUNGSTOWN — A jury deliberated a little over an hour in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court before returning not guilty verdicts Wednesday on all three charges brought against Robyn E. Johnson, 29, of Boardman.
The verdict was reached Wednesday afternoon in the trial, which lasted almost three days. Johnson was facing charges of discharging a firearm on or near prohibited premises and two counts of felonious assault, all with gun specifications, for a 2023 incident in Youngstown.
Johnson was accused of firing a gun into a car containing the victim and a man, hitting the victim, Sheala Perkins, in the shoulder.

“But what she did not know is that there was a Cadillac parked in the parking lot” with a man and (Perkins) inside. Security video shows the car backing into a parking spot and turning into the parking lot, Kivlighan said. As soon as Johnson pulled out of the parking lot, so did the Cadillac, Kivlighan said. She became concerned about the Cadillac and drove back to South Avenue to drive on a busier road, Kivlighan said. The Cadillac followed her.He said the two cars ended up beside each other on South Avenue at Midlothian Boulevard, and the alleged victim was “yelling, screaming, throwing her arms up in the air,” Kivlighan said.
Kivlighan said the cars stopped at South Avenue and Midlothian. Surveillance video shows the door of the Cadillac open and Perkins got out with a gun in her hand, Kivlighan said.

If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government — and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws.

I have lost interest in varmint hunting. Except for snakes. Not all snakes, just some. They know who they are and they fear me when the Ruger10/22 comes out of the bag.
I’ve got one those. Love it.
Mine followed me home from WallyMart and then I put more into it than I paid. The only OEM bit that remains is the receiver housing- the thing shoots waaaay better than I can.
The Ruger Mk IV 22/45 Lite is a great snake killer, too.
The Ruger 10/22 may be one of the most successful designs in firearms history, even if not designed by John Browning.
I’m sure he would be an admirer of it.
That’s one I don’t have. I’ve got a PC Carbine, set up for my Glock mags, AR-556 MPR, Vaquero, and a few Ruger pistols: the LC9s, Security-9, Security-380, and LCP Max. I almost bought a 10/22 a few times during my Bass Pro days but got a few other .22 rifles instead. The Rossi Rio Bravo is a decent little gun; lever action, so it requires a bit of fun interaction for follow-on shots.
Just the venomous ones?
Rattlers can be quite tasty.
Last summer I had to grab a shovel from an idiot who thought a harmless bull snake was a prairie rattler because of their impressive defensive display – growling/hissing, coiling and vibrating their rattle less tails.
