Sunday morning feel good stories
Wesley Brandon Siever went on a crime spree in Pikeville, Tennessee last weekend. He resisted arrest, fled from an officer, broke into a home, stole clothes there until he finally tried to steal a vehicle at another home where he encountered an armed homeowner. When Siever lunged at the homeowner, he earned a .22 caliber slug to his calf as police pulled into the driveway which ended his life of crime for the time being. He’s now at Bledsoe County Jail without bond.
In Camden, South Carolina, 49-year-old Jimmy Joe Methe is sitting in jail for shooting and killing 17-year-old Brandon Spencer for stealing from Methe’s truck. The sheriff says that you can shoot someone to prevent bodily injury, but not for theft and not for trying to get away with your crime safely; “Law abiding citizens are frustrated with the failure of our criminal justice system that really does not deter crime. Situations like what occurred early this morning are more and more likely to be the result of that frustration.” Knowing your local laws and following your conscience is just as important as training at the firing range.

Poor Jimmy Joe….
In Texas it would have been a clean shoot over the property theft!
If LEO can’t stop it, the private citizen should be able to. How can one expect LEO to be everywhere all the time for everyone?
“Only the police have the right…” is a foundation stone in the Nanny State mindset.
All things harsh, difficult or dangerous must be attended to by specialists. Normal people are not capable and are forbidden to even contemplate protecting themselves, their kith and kin or personal property.
It must all be handled by duly appointed representatives of the State.
Such peeps with such mindsets must be roflstomped and their remains kicked to the curb for cleanup if civilization is to be saved.
Very articulate and well put!
