Sunday morning feel good stories

| January 3, 2016

We begin in Lakeland, Florida this morning, where Chevez Antwann Faison forced his way into a home and began busting caps at the residents there. They returned fire and young Chavez was DRT (dead right there). Sheriff Grady Judd said that what invaders can expect in return for such foolish endeavors in Polk County.

We’re light on stories about citizens defending themselves today, probably because the police have been busy doing their jobs, like in Piedmont, Georgia, where police got in a chase with a fellow tried to start a fire near some propane tanks at Walgreens, and then he decided to flee from the Park Ranger who stopped him. He headed towards Atlanta, but the Georgia State Police cornered him and shot him. He’s in the hospital, now, temporarily.

Las Vegas, Nevada police shot to death a man who was wanted by US Marshals for an attempted murder in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When police tracked hiim down, they told him to drop stuff in his hands, but he approached them instead. They thought they saw a gun, so they shot him DRT. It turns out that he was holding a cell phone, not a gun. But he was a bad dude and had warrants out on hims for a lot of bad stuff. Not now, though.

In Salem, Oregon, Ronald Chilcote, also with a lengthy arrest record, thought that he could evade police by driving a stolen tow truck at them – he couldn’t. They shot him and he’s recovering in the hospital.

In Fresno, California, Fred Perez was busy stabbing his girlfriend when the police rudely interrupted and made poor Fred DRT.

Down the road a ways, in San Diego, California, another fellow was holding his domestic partner at knife point when the police again interrupted him so he naturally charged at the police who made him DOT (dead over there) at the hospital. He had a parole violation and a violent criminal history, too.

Chicago police say that they have shot 40% fewer people in 2015 than 2014, down to 22 from 37. Criminals, however, have already shot 24 people since New Year Eve, 3 are dead, as of last night.

The dummies just won’t learn. When they mess with armed people, (citizens and law enforcement), threatening and such, they are gonna get hurt, sometimes permanently hurt.

Man practicing open carry law robbed of gun

Gresham man robbed of gun he was openly carrying

GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A man practicing his open carry right was robbed of the gun he was openly carrying.

William Coleman III was robbed of his Walter- brand P22 just after 2:00 a.m. October 4 in Gresham by a young man who asked him for it — and flashed his own weapon as persuasion.

Coleman, 21, was talking to his cousin in the 17200 block of NE Glisan St., after purchasing the handgun earlier that day, when a young man asked him for a cigarette, police said.

The man then asked about the gun, pulled a gun from his own waistband and said “”I like your gun. Give it to me.”

Coleman handed over the gun and the man fled on foot.

The suspect is thin a black male, between 19 and 23 years old, clean cut with a small patch of facial hair on his chin, and short black wavy hair.

He is roughly six feet tall, wearing grey sweatpants, a white T-Shirt and flip-flop sandals.

The weapon he used in the robbery was described as a possibly semi-automatic, black gun, Gresham Police said.

Anybody who may have information on this case is asked to call the Gresham Police Tips line at 503.618.2719.

A Walter pistol…lolz

David

we get the idea, you wet your pants for anti-gun stories… did you happen to notice that story dates from 2014? What’s next, an outraged ohmigawd diatribe over the Manson murders?

Hondo

Yep. Nothing says “I’m having a really tough time supporting my argument” like trying to pass off a nearly 15-month-old story as current news.

It also IMO shows the person making the argument is either (1) not very observant, (2) not too intelligent, (3) intentionally trying to mislead, or (4) some combination of the above.

Hondo

And FWIW: I don’t recall the Manson (AKA Tate-Labianca) murders involving any “scary gun”. Those were slasher mass-killings as I recall.

So this guy probably would ignore those murders – along with the fact that judicious use of a firearm by the innocents in self-defense would probably have resulted in Manson and/or his followers being the ones dead vice Sharon Tate and the other unarmed victims.

Jason

The other point is that the robber already had a gun. If the citizens are disarmed this bad guy would still be armed.

David

Hell, Hondo, I was expecting a branch-out into big scary knife control.

Reb

HONDO..
TATE-LABIANCA murders did involve a gun. It was used to keep control of the victims and then tossed down a embankment. Wasn’t the kid that visited the only survivor that lived in the gatehouse, shot? Memory’s getting foggy in my old age:)

Reb

HONDO,

Doubled checked and Steven Parent was visiting the guy in the gatehouse. Watson shot him four times.

The weapon was tossed and found by a kid and dad turned it in. Cops didn’t put 2+2 together until during the trial

Hondo

You’re correct – the account I checked mentioned the gun, but indicated the police couldn’t connect it to the crime. Other accounts confirm the use of a gun to murder one – and possibly two – of the victims. The others were slashed/stabbed to death.

Reb

They tied it to the murder of caretaker of the place the Manson family lived and another party. I was in that case the second I heard in TV. Ol squeaky was in a jail in Independence as I was walking through…she was nuts..

Reb

I was interested in that case… Boo boo

AW1Ed

I remember this. Happened back in 2014. This rocket surgeon was open carrying in an urban environment at 0200, and fell for the old “Hey buddy you gotta smoke?” routine. Stupid people going to stupid places doing stupid things win stupid prizes.
Like this guy.

AW,

As a veteran of the Vietnam war, HERO FORREST GUMP said

Um? 91A10! You came out of your coma! The story you shared is old and sweetie, Jonn did share it back then. I don’t know how long you were away but your doctors said things will come as a surprise to you, but just take it one day at a time.

I’m so proud Jonn hired you as back up. Have your family get rid of all the old newspapers and watch for new stories on TV. Wasn’t seeing the big TV with a remote control great? Make sure you send the stories to Jonn Lilyea because that’s his job.

GREAT TO HAVE YOU BACK ?

UpNorth

The first clue for you, 91A Dickweed, should have been in the URL, you know, where it says, “2014/10/07”. That would indicate that the story was posted on October 7 of 2014.
And, no, not even credit for a nice try.

Reb

UP NORTH…

91A is a PRIME example of why citizens without any knowledge of firearms SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO CARRY A WEAPON…like their DIRTY HARRY..

91A bad walking around with a .38 hanging off his hip was confronted by a fella who needed a gun more. Both, with no gun safety training struggling to control the gun accidentally got hit in the head.

Fella died and 91A was trapped in a coma for years. IF each State passes a carry law, at least make the person take a year long weapon safety class. I learned young and taught mine young. Each can take a weapon apart and put it back together blindfolded WITH ABSOLUTELY NO BULLETS IN THE ROOM.

Start teaching with a BB gun.

The risk benefit ratio of in this age old occupation is getting to the point that you just can’t make a decent living. Somebody call the ACLU.

NR Pax

I’m sure that Bernie Sanders will make this the next part of his platform.

IDC SARC

I just wanna get the ACLU into the kill zone.

Libtard Disclaimer:this is not an actual threat.

I wonder what possessed young Chevez Antwann Faison to break in to a residence and start shooting? Doubt is was random. Hmmmm…
