Monday morning feel good stories
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, Javier Valenzuela tried to talk the judge out of imprisoning him because he’d been shot by his victim after Valenzuela had pointed a gun at the victim while Valenzuela and an accomplice were stealing a car. His pleas didn’t work – the judge put his wounded ass in jail with a $50,000 price tag on his bond. The intended victim is facing no charges.
In Richland County, North Carolina, a homeowner shot Eric Smith when Smith was attempting to break into the home. The article says that Smith has non-life threatening injuries, but that he’ll be arrested when he gets out of the hospital.
Another homeowner in Burlington, North Carolina, defended his home and family from four criminals when they forced their way into his home and he was forced to expend a number of bullets in their direction from his shotgun, wounding at least two of them. Those two were arrested at the hospital later. Police found the other two hiding in a closet of a home about a 1/4 mile away from the scene of the crime.
Another homeowner in Battle Creek, Michigan confronted an armed burglar with his own gun – the criminal un-assed the AO at a high rate of speed, but he left a trail for the K-9s which enabled police to roll up on him.
A business owner got into a gun fight with a robber in his store in Indianapolis, Indiana. The police took the wounded man and the remaining pieces of his ass to the hospital where he’ll wait for them to make longer-term accommodations for him in their local jail.
In Coral Gables, Florida, 47-year-old Javon Reddick entered a convenience store and ordered the two customers there on the floor and demanded that they empty their pockets while he waved his gun in their faces. Instead, the pair beat the crap out of Reddick and held him until police arrived. Reddick claimed, during the beating, that it had all been a joke. Ha-ha-ha, MFer. Video of the encounter at the link.
In the dumbass criminal department, a story from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where two criminals broke down the door of the apartment of a 91-year-old woman and gathered up her stuff. They threatened her with a shotgun, but she was unharmed. As the pair started to leave the apartment, one grabbed the firearm in his waistband and then discharged it into his foot. The resident’s property was recovered at the hospital where the fellow ended his crime spree in police custody.
Hondo sends us a link to last week’s story about Amrik Singh who took down thief, Christopher Dam, with his shoe. In Dam’s defense it is one big-ass shoe.

Aaaah, a nice Monday morning round up of events showing once again that good guys can defeat the bad guys.
Thief shoots self in foot with own gun.
Crook gets into gunfight with business owner and loses.
Customers beat the crap out of crooks.
Who could possibly complain about that, except the crooks?
but he left a trail for the K-9s
Let me guess: Fecal matter or urine?
Aaah, happy ending stories to start the day but alas, no DRT’s!
Damn! No “Ds” (DRT/DOT) today. Ahhh, well, can’t have everything everyday. At least no civilians were hurt.
Uh…
“he was forced to expend a number of bullets in their direction from his shotgun”
Bullets? Not the nomenclature to which I am accustomed.
You saved me the post. I’d like to take a gander at that shotgun that throws out swarms of bullets.
Bullets = Deer Slugs? Could be.
could be deer slugs, but more likely it was shells and someone needs a proof reader 😉
Ummm…
Maybe we shouldn’t rag on Jonn, Lord knows he has a lot to deal with on this site and a couple of misplaced words really need to be taken in stride.
We shouldn’t be so critical of others here, we are all on the same side on most things.
With the exception of Lars pretty much everyone else agrees with 99% of all that Jonn says and does.
So I aks you to please refrain from citing mistakes from someone that is truly in the line of fire and leading the charge against all sorts of things.
Just my two cents worth from the Thunder Ranch here in Potail Texas…
Wonderful stories although I am a day late. Shocked I got an email from a new friend and it’s great hearing someone so respected so…no worries don’t sweat the small stuff. TAH has blessed me with great friends I actually respect.
