Clinton’s plan to defeat ISIS
This morning, the media was all a-twitter about the plan that Hillary Clinton was supposed to reveal in regards to how she planned to defeat ISIS. So, after The Big Wait, I discover that I already knew what her plan is – it’s Obama’s plan, according to RTT;
In a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City, Clinton outlined three key points of her plan.
Clinton said the U.S. must defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria and across the Middle East, disrupt and dismantle the growing worldwide terrorist infrastructure, and harden American defenses against external and homegrown threats.
The former Secretary of State also called on Congress to pass a new authorization of the use of military force against ISIS, which she said would signal U.S. commitment to the fight.
“Our goal is not to deter or contain ISIS, but to defeat and destroy ISIS,” Clinton said. “This is a worldwide fight – and America must lead it.”
Clinton called for continued airstrikes over Syria as well as for more “flexibility” for U.S. special operations forces, but she said it would not be a “smart move” to send hundreds of thousands of ground troops to the region.
You couldn’t slide a sheet of paper between this “plan” and the current one that we’re being fooled into believing that it’s some sort of strategy. Of course, she’s only stroking her base. Clinton goes on to reinforce the Obama Plan to import thousands of Syrian “refugees”.
“We cannot allow terrorists to intimidate us into abandoning our values and our humanitarian obligations,” Clinton said. “Turning away orphans, applying a religious test, discriminating against Muslims, slamming the door on every Syrian refugee – that is just not who we are.”
All of this talk about “orphans” and I haven’t heard of, or seen any orphans in the crowds except in political excuses. What I don’t want to see is thousands of military-aged Syrians getting into this country when those are the people who should be straightening out their own problems in their own country instead of clogging up our system. So basically, a Clinton presidency would be Obama’s third term, at least in terms of the greatest threat to our security. No new ideas, not worth the wait.

The fact that this thing, Wide Load, might possibly be the next president, tells you every damn thing you need to know about the progressive/marxist/commie bastards. I wish someone would ask her how many orphans we have taken so far and whether she is aware that religious tests, as she and her former boss, call them, have been employed regarding refugees for quite some years. As for discriminating against Muslims BECAUSE they are Muslims, who in the government is doing that? As a private person, I am free to discriminate against Muslims because of their religion, so I have no idea what this thing is talking about. It’s just so much gibberish designed to placate people such as Lars.

This is empty rhetoric. Although there is nothing wrong with the goals, Hillary had ample opportunity as Secretary of State to demonstrate a grasp of how such goals should be achieved. And it didn’t happen. She’s not part of a solution to ISIS, she’s part of the problem.
I would say that the Clinton/Obama cabal is an ISIS Plank Owner. They are both as responsible for its formation as any of the Al Qaeda types.

Why the sudden concern for “a new authorization of the use of military force against ISIS” from Congress? We’ve gone on every military excursion since Afghanistan on the back of the Congressional authorization for that, to include her and Obama’s little Libya debacle. If all of that was covered under the current authorization, why isn’t the ISIS crusade?
Don’t think there is a snowballs chance in hell of Congress even bringing this up. Gives Congress the cushion to yell Rah Rah Rah would’ve….could’ve…. should’ve but depending on how things work out go back to their constituents and take credit or say I never supported that. Gutless wonders the lot of them!

She opened her ‘campaign’ trail with a speech about putting windmills on every private home in America, back in August or September or whenever it was. Have you heard anything about it since then? No.

Personally, I think Vlad’s plan is the most workable: let him go in first, do as much damage as possible, claim the victory, and then he gets the blame for everything that goes wrong 20 years later, just like Bush.

Sometimes, I feel like starting a blog titled ‘Dear Vlad:’, where I could write letters advising him on how to behave in public (keep your shirt on, for Pete’s sake, or trim your pits) and why he should stop fussing about oil prices until this mess is over.
I think Russia and France may be working their target list from our “don’t target” list.
IS knows our rules of engagement, exploiting them by placing valuable targets next to ROE-protected locations. (Often in utterly unambiguous violations of the Laws and Customs of War).
We spend much time, money, and effort making up lists of places that our forces must not attack.
A ruthless co-beligerant, or a merely-especially-pissed-off ally could accomplish much by selectively using our “don’t target” list in reverse.
Violating a protected place via a prohibited use actually voids the protection.

Remember back in 2008, when Hillary said that just by electing her, fuel prices would fall, because she was serious about exploring alternate energy sources, and OPEC would drop their prices just based on the fact she was serious. Same concept with ISIS.
I’m pretty sure no successful military strategy in history ever advertised to the enemy that it was reluctant to put ground forces in theater.
