Tuesdays with Claymore
If only Planned Parenthood had started in Germany
Getting all PC about PC is un-PC
Eulogy for the useless
DU’s two veterans talk to one another
DUer calls out all of the right wingers on DU…meds have apparently stopped working.
Opposing the murder of innocents is now domestic terrorism
Special snowflakes are triggered when you call them special snowflakes
Only rednecks care that Americans were killed in Benghazi
Keep it classy, you antisemitic shitheel

And that first link is why as a leftie, I refuse to have anything to do with DU. Too much left-wingnuttery for my liking, way too early in the morning.
I read the “Thanking” our Veterans piece and one thing led to another. Its presenter reposts a piece written by a former soldier, Dan Crimmins, who sounds like the second coming of John Murtha. Of course, he has PTSD and can’t say often enough that he was an Infantryman (with a cap I.) He posts on Reddit under the name mopecore and clearly has some issues. He’s about 30, I guess, and has Daddy issues which he is quite comfortable writing about, to the extent that he posted his father’s letter to him and asked for feedback. I have no doubt that he was in Iraq twice but I tend to agree with one of his friends who told him that he was fucked up and weird BEFORE he joined the Army. Ain’t that so often the truth? Military service is often blamed for someone being a jerk–or worse–when, all along, they were always jerks.
GAAAHDDDDAMMIT!!! Why do I try to read any of that drivel… I tell myself week after week to just stay away… then a headline grabs me or pisses me off… I read a discussion…. two or three later I have this splitting headache that makes me want to power-eat ice cream for RELIEF…. how the HELL do you manage to read all that crap, put headlines on it, and post it?
Some people use Spartan wit as a defense mechanism against unkillable stupid. Personally? I’m envious.
David. Claymore does it once a week on Tuesdays. Wednesday through Friday he goes on a drunk, recovers Saturday, starts feeling normal again Sunday and Monday and then…bottoms up!
For the record, copious amounts of Buffalo Trace will cleanse the mind of this fucktardery…Two Buck Chuck will do it too, and for less, but requires more application.
I kept saying that even attempting to wade through that drivel was like trying to find a way out of quicksand in the dark with a fading flashlight and no life preserver. Not a good idea.
But alcohol does help. I just haven’t used it yet.
From the first post, “Well, Bye”;
“Threads complaining about Democratic Underground or its members; . . . . . are not permitted.”
Well, so long as it’s your own personal site, between yerselves, that’s just fine. The problem is that too too often this personal and private censoring between Libtards devolves into want Big Gooberment to censor dissenting opinions from everyone.
“That’s alls I can stands, I can’t stands no more.”
BW. The greatest threat to democracy is from within–specifically, liberl/progressives, What they do at DU as you described it, is precisely what they long to do–and, to an extent, are doing through government coercion. A perfect example of this just occurred at the U of Mo where a student journalist was ordered from the rebels’ area–public property, maintained by the government–by other students AND a professor. Freakin’ tyrants all.
And they were crying before that they weren’t getting any press coverage.
Go figure…
“Veteran tranny has a t-shirt” is a scream. The t-shirt, modeled by the tranny, 44-year old Carla Lewis, reads, “Transgender Veteran: I fought for your right to hate me.” As you might guess, Lewis never fought anything but was unceremoniously booted from the USAF after 18 months. What’s more, I resent that “hate” business. I don’t hate trannies. I find them to be sick, twisted, repulsive, repugnant and unpleasant to gaze upon but hate? No. Not at all. However, it’s nice to know that Tranny Lewis fought for my right to hate herhimit, whatever the hell that means.
