Monday morning feel good stories
Sorry, but my Google-foo skills turned up none of our traditional feel good stories about homeowners who took down criminals with their own firearms, but there was an exciting car chase through the streets of Los Angeles on Friday, where a home invasion burglar tried to evade police at speeds over a 100 miles per hour, running stop sins, narrowly missing pedestrians and driving the wrong way on the freeway, so the police employed a sniper shooting from a helicopter to stop the reckless fellow.
The photo at the link shows a shattered windshield from multiple rounds. The Associated Press reports that the burglar bailed out of the vehicle and took off running while the unpiloted auto smashed into a truck. Burglar Boy ran a short distance before he collapsed and he was DRT (dead right there).
There’s a story from Jackson, Mississippi where 20-year-old Deion Hicks shot 19-year-old Christopher Silas when they engaged in an altercation related to street racing. Silas died as a result. While a police officer was rolling up Hicks, and unknown shooter shot Hicks twice in the chest and leaving the officer unharmed. That police officer is making more permanent arrangements for Hicks’ accommodations when he gets out of the hospital and they’re looking for their secret shooter.

While traveling this weekend, saw an ambulance with lights and sirens cross at an intersection. It had “DRT” proudly displayed on the side. I couldn’t help but think about the feel good stories.
Here’s the ambulance company web site: http://www.deltaresponseteam.com/
Now the photo of those ambulances is way cool Bobo. I had to laugh my ass off. We need to send them a link to our feel good stories so they’ll get the picture.
Secret shooter eh? I just hope he was the kind of guy aiming for Hick and the police.
Damn it’s too early, “Secret shooter eh? I just hope he was the kind of guy aiming for Hicks and not the police.”
There we go.
Two in the breadbasket tell me that he was aiming for Hicks.
I agree Jonn. This was a low rent hit on Hicks.
Hum? Cop or Hicks? Revenge for Silas by friends OR shooting at the Johnny who rolled up to arrest Hicks? I say REVENGE by friends because they sure wouldn’t testify in court especially in good ol MISS. Glad the Johnny wasn’t hit. I see another shooting in ol MISS in the near future ?? by pissed off friends.
Well, Englewood, down on Chicago’s south side, had a shooting story over the weekend. Two groups of people got into a shooting match with each other, but no one has been arrested yet.
Just glad I don’t live in Chicago any more.
Too bad LA doesn’t have .50 cal Barretts anymore that would have killed the engine.
