Neal Falls; Serial Killer?
The other day, reader “Ohio” sent us a “Feel Good Story” about a woman who shot her attacker in Charleston, West Virginia in her home. They had met on a dating website, but when he got to her home, he brandished a weapon and tried to choke her to death, until she got control of the gun and shot him over her shoulder without aiming or even looking at him and rang his bell with a lucky shot.
Well, according to West Virginia MetroNews, in a link sent to us by OWB, the man, Neal Falls now may be connected to a series of similar murders in Las Vegas;
Police are investigating whether a man fatally shot in self-defense by a prostitute he tried to strangle last weekend in Charleston could be linked to the murder of four Las Vegas-area prostitutes.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, 45-year-old Neal Falls of Oregon has been linked to the deaths of four young women: Lindsay Harris, 21, Jodi Brewer, 19, Jessica Foster 21, and Misty Saens, 25.
According to the article, police found handcuffs, bleach, trash bags, knives, an ax and a bulletproof vest in the trunk of Neal’s car leading them to believe that he’d done that sort of thing in the past which brought them to the Las Vegas murders.
Three of the Las Vegas-area women—Harris, Brewer and Saens—were found dead near highways. Foster has yet to be located.
Las Vegas police spokesman Michael Rodriguez told the Review-Journal the department hasn’t yet been contacted about Falls, but a connection between him and the four Vegas women is possible.
Yet another reason to feel good about the story.

Actually, I think the moral of this story might be “don’t date serial killers” unless you’re armed and dangerous.

that fine that she was on a dating website. the problem is you dont invite someone that you just met on a dating website to your home. You try to meet with them in public areas such as malls restaurants, or places that are crowded with people. that way you lessen the chance of being murdered by someone like this creep. But then again being of Caucasian race it is likely that you chance of being raped and murdered is increased by 80%.

Ex- This wasn’t so much a dating website, as I understand it. It was a hooker/pimp/john element of Backpage.com, the “Escort” services section. I just visited the page and no one could mistake the ads for anything but sexual services. The suspected serial killer arrived the WV woman’s place and immediately went for her throat. Being bright, he put his gun down, which she, while being strangled, picked up and fired blind, over her shoulder and into his head. Done.
Craigslist is notorious for this kind of thing, as is that creepy spot ‘backdoor’.
The real problem is dating sites. You can’t find someone in your own community? Have you looked?

I don’t know or care whether or not Lindsey Graham likes women. I do know and care that, when he shows up for a hearing, he is loaded for bear. That man is smart and hard working, and he takes the job of being a US Senator very seriously. This administration hates him for that.
That’s nice. He works hard. May I ask at what? I suppose that if one is favor of amnesty for illegal aliens, he’s your boy. He voted to give illegals social security benies too. Gun rights? He voted for the Manchin-Toomey mess and, separately, voted against barring lawsuits seeking to blame gun makers for deaths by guns. And did you see the NYT op-ed he authored with John Kerry, the one in which he wrote, “However, we refuse to accept the argument that the United States cannot lead the world in addressing global climate change.” There are many more examples of this RINO’s bullshit, including supporting oBaMa’s stimulus crud and using his Senate votes to support other of oBaMa’s destructive agenda, not to mention his picks for the Supreme Court and AG.So, I guess I answered my own question. He works hard at supporting oBaMa (regardless of what he SAYS for votes) and undercutting conservatives. So, no, it’s not that he might like it in the ass that bothers me. It’s that he’s a classic RINO.
While you were “answering your own question”, you certainly pointed out more than enough reasons to tell Lindsey Grahamnesty to go home and stay there.
Yeah, he the people of South Carolina can keep him. That’s their call. But when he’s running for president, we all get to play.
Well, yeah, now that you mention it – he DOES rather resemble that fool Graham. My personal dislike for Graham began back during those impeachment hearings when it looked like he wasn’t even trying. Nothing has happened since to improve my opinion of him.
That sideshow was a disgrace. He strutted around like he was some sort of slack jawed, toothless bulldog.

1. Church, Temple or Mosk.

2. Clubs and professional associations.
3. Museums.
4. Friends and family recommendations.
5. Library.
6. Markets.
7. Antique shops.
8. The beach.
9. Nature, outdoors and or athletic clubs.
And the # 1 place to meet people:
10. Bars.

She apparently has some pretty good survival instincts. Earlier reports were that he was choking her from behind. Evidently she wasn’t passing out fast enough from his one-handed choke so he put the gun down to use both hands on her. So, she picked up the gun and shot him over her shoulder.
Feel good stories where the victim takes out a bad guy with his/her own gun are great. Using the bad guy’s own weapon to defend yourself is even better.

OK, so this nice family in a nice neighborhood gets this sorta-quiet new neighbor with the odd amulet. One day after spouse heads off to work and kids to school, creepoid stalks his way in the unsecured patio door.

…. BLAM! Pull back from surprised creepoid, shot through the amulet, (insert weird vapor-CGI effect of something fleeing amulet) dramatically dropping weird dagger and collapsing on the kitchen tile, as we see the gun, then hand, then annoyed face of the house-spouse. TV on the counter is blaring the ad for (product placement) a clean up firm.
(Sound of cellphone dialing and 911 response)
“Can you send over someone? Some freak just brought a knife to the gunfight in my kitchen.”
“And we just remodeled….”
Cut to outside shot as dispersing “vapor” grumbles in special-effect basso-profundo voice “Not again! (bleep)ing NRA…. Maybe I can go hang out with the Norks or those cult weirdoes over in… (mumbling, grumbling….”

Seems to me the sex worker (can we be honest and say prostitute?) should have known something was wrong from the git go. A guy wanting to drive from so far away just to get laid! If he was indeed living off grid and in his car, evidently personal hygiene did not matter to him. Might be a case of them going at it doggie style when she got a whiff of him and realized he needed to be vaccinated or ventilated, which ever came first.
