Tuesday morning feel good story

| July 7, 2015

In Upper-Marlboro, Maryland, a fellow was nice enough to call ahead the night before and told his intended victims that he was coming to “kill everybody inside” a home. Unfortunately for him, the folks in the home were armed and he ended up DRT before the police could arrive in time to save him.

In Nashville, Tennessee, 74-year-old Larry Dean Claybaker was getting in his car when two teens, their faces partially concealed, approached him and took his cellphone from him. They then asked him what else he had for them. Larry, affable fellow that he is, instantly dispensed two bullets from his legally-concealed firearm, one for each of the youngsters. One ran off, but the other stuck around at Larry’s emphatic urgings until police arrived.

“emphatic urgings until police arrived.”
Possibly an addition to the now famous DRT acronym?

EUUPA = emphatic urgings until police arrived – – lol

I love it!!

‘Tis better to give, than to receive” A generous and equitable redistribution of social justice, at the community level, defines a capable, competent, community organizer.

Bobo

At least he was polite enough to actually show up after he called ahead, unlike some folks that we’ve seen here at TAH.

Silentium Est Aureum

I saw MD, but I knew better than to get my hopes up.

Some of these perps – er, people would benefit from learning better social skills.

Perps … Ah, don’t be such a racist!

So, lesson number one, don’t bring a screwdriver to a gun fight and lesson number two, don’t fuck with Larry Dean Claybaker EVER.

Actually, I think it is “don’t ask a stranger if he’s got something for you”

I wonder what the recidivism rate is for criminals that have been ventilated by their victims is.

Why aren’t cities awarding these patriots for their great civic duties either?

Hondo

Depends on whether ventilation rendered them DRT or not. If not, I’d guess the recidivism rate is probably substantial.

However, among those rendered DRT the recidivism rate is zero.

Start the morning with a cup of Joe and a great tale of derring do by more customers of the great ghetto in the sky !
Ahhhhh !!! What a great day !!!

Love it when a plan comes together!
At least the MD perp was polite enough to call ahead to make a reservation, show up on time, and then stick around afterwards – even if he was DRT.

I just wish Mr TN Claybaker has ventilated his chosen perps at least once or twice more, each, and had persuaded both of them to stick around a little longer, even if it might have meant that they were DRT or DOT.

Maryland? Did the mailbox have a door on it?

Bobo

It happened in a gated community, you know, the kind of neighborhood with an HOA that wouldn’t put up with doorless mailboxes, makeshift tent garages, and broken down Jaguars in the driveway.

TallyWhagger

“…broken down Jaguars in the driveway.”

Probably better to be broken down in the driveway than the highway but there does seem to be a certain nuance about Jaguars that come apart and never get put back together.

I had a few auto repair shops as clients for years and years, never had a repair bill, just a swap of services in lieu of fees.

Then, one day I saw a yellow Jaguar XJ-6 and I really liked that car so I mentioned that I was thinking about buying it, to one of the mechanics. There was no hesitation, no uncertainty, he was unequivocating that it would never see a moment in his shop, never be on a lift and he didn’t even want it in the parking lot!! Sheesh.

So, I discussed that conversation with the other shop and another mechanic and he was at least as emphatic that he wouldn’t touch one of them, at least for me… he said I could not afford to own it. Haha, well hell, I may be slow by I ain’t stupid.

Evidently, parts may not be as readily available for some cars, as others. But the mechanics greater concern was the cost, not only for labor but for having “come backs” as they called them.

All of those mechanics were very experienced and capable, I took their advice and admonishments and… bought a boat, instead!

I love the smell of DRT in the morning. Smells like…the gene pool is cleaner.
