Three Democratic lawmakers felt justified with storming ICE facility

Three Democratic lawmakers claimed that they were justified with storming an ICE facility. The three were not the only ones there. Ras Baraka, Newark’s mayor, was arrested on trespassing charges. During the storming, an ICE agent was body slammed. Representative LaMonica McIver claimed that she did not know how to body slam and that there was no video that substantiated that claim. Unfortunately for McIver, CNN showed a video of her body slamming an ICE agent.

“Chaos ensued when someone on the phone above the leaders of ICE who were with us at that facility instructed them to go out of the facility, go to the private property and lock the mayor of the largest city in the state of New Jersey up,” Coleman said.

McIver also responded to accusations from the Department of Homeland Security that she “body slammed” law enforcement officers during the incident.
“I honestly do not know how to body slam anyone. There’s no video that supports me body slamming anyone,” she told CNN’s Dana Bash.
Mendez argued that it was the responsibility of the ICE officers and other law enforcement to ensure the situation didn’t get out of hand.
“There were a lot of opportunities for DHS, for ICE to de-escalate the situation. They chose not to,” Menendez said. “It’s something that should really shock all Americans.”

Much like most of the Deplorable Garbage that frequents this den of inequity, Hack Stone can honestly it’s been quite some time since he was shocked. These congresscritters need to realize that the DHS officers involved actually DID de-escalate the situation. They would’ve been well within their rights to react with nightsticks and mace. One does not simply storm the gates and expect to walk away.
It still amazes and amuses me when someone complains about multiple police officers ‘assaulting’ an individual to place it into custody or subdue it (did I use the proper pronoun?). Sure, it could be done by one officer—with a tazer, or club, or gun (just to be sure), but I will bet they would still complain.
A cop friend explained that to me. If 4 cops pile on and hold the subject down, the perp is gonna get hurt a lot less than if it’s one on one.

When I wrestled intramurals in college I noted that “body slams” were penalized words like this aint professional wrestling typically were included in the referees admonishment. I didn’t see any “body slams” in the video.
Somewhat related I did meet a celebrity from the professional wrestling world this weekend. Some may remember Dusty “The American Dream” Rhodes and his son Dustin “The Natural” Rhodes The latters Mastiff won Best in Breed at the Westminster Dog Show in February and was here in middle GA this weekend at a Dog Show. I don’t know about the Owner but the 260 pound specimen of call name The Beast was quite pleasant and dwarfed my 105 German Shepherd who accompanied me to the Show as a spectator.
They were using “body slam” as most outside of wrestling would understand it… Aggressively pushing/forcing her body onto his while carrying out
