Obama: “We don’t have all of the facts, but….”
Wednesday night, Dylann Roof spent an hour among church goers in Charleston and then pulled out the gun that his father gave him for his birthday recently, and murdered nine people. So, yesterday, the President blamed the instrument that he used to commit that horrendous crime and he blamed legal gun owners. From the National Journal;
“I’ve had to make statements like this too many times,” Obama said. “We don’t have all of the facts, but we do know that once again innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun.”
The president continued, suggesting that the country has to act to prevent gun violence. “Now is the time for mourning and for healing, but let’s be clear at some point, we as a country, we have to reckon with the fact that this mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries,” Obama said. “It doesn’t happen in other places with this kind of frequency. It is in our power to do something about it.”
Really? We have the power to keep criminals from getting gifts from their fathers – that’s already unlawful. The implication in the president’s speech is that somehow tougher background checks would have prevented this terrible crime. Tougher background checks wouldn’t have prevented Adam Lanza from killing his mother to steal her guns – it did however, stop Lanza from buying a gun himself, but criminals commit crimes.
It is already illegal for family members to arm each other when they can’t legally own guns otherwise. The father bears some responsibility in this crime if it turns out that he gave a gun to his drug-addled son. According to the media, Roof had been arrested for drug possession in recent months.
Asked [by police] if he had any contraband, Mr. Roof said no, according to the report, but the officer searched him and found Suboxone, a prescription drug used to treat opiate addiction and frequently sold in illegal street transactions. Mr. Roof admitted that he did not have a prescription for the drug, the report said, and he was arrested and charged with felony drug possession. The case is pending.
In April, Mr. Roof was charged with trespassing at the same mall. The police report said he had been barred from the mall for a year after the drug arrest. Mr. Roof was convicted on that charge, a misdemeanor.
Some reports are that his parents gave him money to buy a gun, if that turns out to be true, that might indicate that the background checks didn’t work;
A friend of the suspect accused of shooting and killing nine people inside a black church in Charleston said he told him a few weeks ago he had “a plan.”
Joseph Meek Jr. said he was drinking vodka with 21-year-old Dylann Roof when Roof made the remark while he was railing against blacks.
Roof didn’t elaborate on the plan, but Meek said he was worried. He said he knew his friend had a “Glock” — a .45 caliber pistol — in the trunk of his car.
Meek said Roof told him he bought the gun with money he got from his parents for his birthday.
With the way Roof was carrying on, Meek said he took the gun from the trunk of Roof’s car and hid it in his house, just in case.
“I didn’t think he would do anything,” he said.
But the next day, when Roof was sober, he gave it back.
If current background checks didn’t work in this case, that doesn’t mean that legal gun owners need to pay a price for the government’s own failings in this regard. But, isn’t that always the way?

And thank you ‘Mr. Friend’ for not saying a fucking thing to anyone when your good buddy is talking about killing a whole bunch of people.
Lotsa guys talk lotsa shit with aid of copious amounts of vodka….I’m not certain the friend had any reason to believe this particular line of stupid on that particular night especially if this was a regular occurrence when they were drinking.
I know guys who say they would kill their whore of an ex-wife after they’ve been drinking, but I don’t believe they actually mean it. It’s just stupid shit they say when they’ve had a few…if I run to the cops and tell them about it he loses all his firearms based on what some drunken words?
I think in hindsight it’s obvious this guy was an actual killer, but he could have been talking shit like this for years without any action….how does another high school dropout dummy know when it’s real versus a continuation of just stupid fucking talk?
Not sure I’d know the difference either…
Not necessarily excusing the friend, but I could understand the reluctance to rat out a friend over drunken conversations.
And if the friend HAD gone to the authorities, whoever that may be, exactly what could they have done? He had purchased the .45 legally, as he wasn’t yet a “convicted” felon, and he was on a drunken ramble.
Um, not exactly. Either he or the gun shop selling it to him appears to have committed a Federal felony in conjunction with the transfer.
The ATF 4473 requires a prospective buyer to certify that he/she is NOT under indictment for any felony crime. That’s because under Federal law, a seller CANNOT sell a firearm to someone under felony indictment. Doing so is a Federal felony; ditto falsifying the form.
Either Roof or the gun shop violated Federal law here bigtime. Had his friend reported this to the authorities, there’s at least a reasonable chance that his murder spree might have been prevented.
I understand that, hindsight being 20/10 and all….the friend might have heard this shit the entire time he’s known this asshole was my point…how does one know this time is the real time?
I am not kidding when i say I know guys who talk about killing their ex when they’ve had a few, usually joking around but maybe a joke gets old after a while…should I be reporting them every time they say it? I really don’t know, I think I know these two guys well enough that they would never hurt anyone but I suppose I could be wrong.
It’s just drunk talk to date but one of them has a gun and if he uses it to kill his ex I don’t know what the hell I’d think about it…maybe I should forego the friendship and tell the police…let the chips fall where they fall.
More shit to think about, just when I thought I’d be getting a break from extra thinking for a month or two during the summer break.
Hard call. I think I’d tell the guy, “Fella, you’re a good friend – but you keep talking about offing your ex when you’re drinking and it’s kinda creeping me out. How about we just not discuss her, m’kay?”
If he keeps bringing it up, well . . . then maybe it’s time to reevaluate the friendship.
Just my unsolicited opinion, so value it as you see fit – to include what you paid for it. (smile)
First of all, his father didn’t buy the gun for him, he bought the gun for himself with birthday money! Second, why didn’t those flaky cockroach friends of his report his talk and actions??
I would expect any lawyer, much less an adjunct professor that taught a few Con law classes, to have a better grasp of the concept of due process.
Propaganda has little use for the concept of “due process”, valerie. Or “truth”, for that matter.
no room for truth either!
Fat fingers! I didn’t finish before bumping the post tab.
I know that truth has no place in propaganda but I’m not sure this jack wagon would know the truth if he was hit in the face with it. I have begun to think that he actually thinks the truth is what he says it is.
You would think that a man that has stuck his foot in his mouth as much as he has, would learn to wait for the facts to come in so as to not look so dumb. Wasn’t he billed as super intelligent when running for office, and Sarah Palin was “too dumb” to be president even though she wasn’t running for president!
Let him run his pie hole some More. Every time he does, he creates more business for the gun industry. He has made arms and ammo manufacturers millions.
NRA salesman of the year, six years running!!
“We don’t have all of the facts, but we do know that once again innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting jihadi materials and support”.
There; fixed it for you, President Dumbass.
“It is in our power to do something about it.”
Boy oh boy, he is one frustrated tyrant. That lousy 2nd Amendment and that Supreme Court majority are the stumbling blocks. He wants no guns in the hands of anyone outside of state, local, or federal government and, I’m sure that if he could, he would nationalize the police in this country and wipe out the last vestiges of federalism. He’s right about one thing. He doesn’t have the power to do any of that.
Well, then let’s all thank God for small favors. And that was not a snark.
Don’t be so sure about what kind of tyranny Obama is capable of. I’m not a conspiracy nut, but even I wonder what is cooking when I start looking at the multiple different threads he’s busily been spinning the last seven years. They are truly beginning to look like the rope he’s going to (attempt to) hang us with.
As I see it, a tyrannical chief executive is one who seeks to consolidate power in his own hands. He does this with willing confederates (see DOJ and IRS), those who acquiesce to his wishes (see Congress—both parties), those he appoints (see the lefties on the Sup Ct that he appointed and the Senate felt duty-bound to rubber stamp), and those who fear the repercussions of opposing him. A tyrannical chief executive deceives the populace and regards the Constitution as an impediment to his agenda. A tyrannical chief executive holds the people in disdain (you know, those who cling to their guns and Bibles), and seeks to reshape the country and its standing in the world to a form he desires. For the former, he does this through institutional changes because such changes are transformative and outlast any particular regime. For the latter, he looks to the UN and mangles and manipulates foreign relations through various actors, from the State Dept to the Pentagon. He uses regulation as a substitute for statute, bypassing Congress (e.g., immigration) and chancing that a fellow traveler on an appellate court will not stay the regulations pending the hearing and decision and may ultimately decide in his favor. He even pronounces certain laws unconstitutional and refuses to enforce some with which he disagrees (Defense of Marriage Act.) He uses the many ‘public servants’ as so many useful tools and never admits to error. He can’t. Tyrants never are wrong.
I’m sorry mr pResident could you stand closer to the microphone. I can’t hear you over the warm bleeding bodies you are standing on and the wailing and gnashing of teeth and rending of garments of the surviving family members.
Yeah, the Pres doesn’t mean expanded background checks, he’s obliquely referring to bans and confiscation like the UK and Australia.
One thing is certainly clear, we certainly have people that still hate other people based solely on the color of their skin. We’ve seen that here, on a train in Long Island, and so many other venues across the nation as to be statistically significant.
It only proves once again how difficult it’s become to discuss race in the United States without hyperbole and accusation as the mainstays of the conversation.
Racism is an ugly thing, no matter where it resides. Sadly it appears to reside in far too many people to this day.
But bigots will always hate those they find different, for whatever sad sack reasons they use to justify their hatred.
I don’t know the fix for that, but it’s becoming ever more obvious that pretending it’s all good isn’t exactly a fix either.
Natural, tribal urges at the base. That’s why there will always be some level of racism, no matter what color a person is. Yes, you can be black and be racist.
Old Trooper…Das Rayciss! Black people can’t be rayciss!
Ain’t that the truth. One only needs look at the Chris Rock routine. You already know what routine I’m talking about.
Yes, and this president sure as hell hasn’t made it any better.
You really have to wonder why he has to stick his oar into something like this, but never once has he ever said a word about the crap that has gone on continuously for decades in Englewood and other, similar neighborhoods, in his very own home town.
When is he leaving? I can hardly wait until he’s gone.
The known failure of the background check system is amazing. 9 out of 10 mass or spree killers have had a felony interaction with the police. Yet, research and investigation has shown time and time again these people aren’t being coded properly in the system for those felonies. So they escape detection till post crime. This is like trying to catch the habitual drunk driving fiends, we pass more and more laws but the habitual avoid jail like the plague. While you or I see our lives destroyed because we took one glass of wine or a shot of whiskey at an event and got behind a vehicle.
The system needs to be fixed but that would call for a real bottom up review of all the issue, the laws, the proposals and assess them like a safety person would assess a hazardous event. Then go with what works, figure out why things don’t work and throw out the impossible. That won’t happen because again like the book issue and how the neo-teetoalers want 0 deaths from DUI but can’t admit to wanting to ban booze again. They anti-gunners will impose more and more laws because we want a 0 death condition and that is unrealistic.
Makes ya wonder what bullshit knee jerk reactionary, “We gotta DO something!” laws will be passed by the legacy governor, et al, this time.
But I will say one thing–every time this empty suit talks about guns, the entire gun system from manufacturers to sporting good stores, ammo, etc, have raging hardons all the way to the bank.
one correction – this kid was arrested for a felony drug charge but had not been convicted. Until convicted I don’t believe he was barred from purchasing a gun. Being a trash-talking dickhead is not a legal bar.
Love how the media fans the flames… if the perp is a “person of color” it is never mentioned, because that would be considered prejudicial and racist. But the headlines scream WHITE kid shoots black people, WHITE cop shoots unarmed black, etc. Hypocrisy much?
I’d be willing to bet there might have been something in his bail conditions which would have made possession of a gun a no-go.
Most states have laws that say your rights are suspended until full adjudication of your felony charges. However, are they enforced? Not really.
Actually, David – that appears to be correct. 18 USC 922 only appears to ban possession of firearms by convicted felons. So it may well have been lawful for him to possess weapons he owned prior to being indicted for a crime that is classified as a felony.
It is, however, unlawful for someone to sell him a firearm (or otherwise transfer one to him for his use) if they know or should reasonably suspect that he was under a felony indictment. See 18 USC 922(d)(1).
My understanding is that this individual – reportedly also a racist bastard – received the piece he used in the shooting in April as a birthday present. He had been arrested for felony drug possession in Feb. If that’s indeed true, someone had to break the law (and commit a Federal felony) for him to possess that weapon.
Damn Hondo, how come you weren’t my Barracks Lawyer? I could’ve used you…
Yeah, anyone wanna bet that he’d be out there preaching for “calmness, tolerance, and understanding”, shit like that if it were say, a muslim committing mass murder on American soil? FUXX him!
You mean like labeling Ft. Hood as “workplace violence”?
Yep!
If safety was the real goal the gun control crowd would talk about the necessity of gun safes, trigger locks and firearms education not bans or gun free zones.
If only one or more of the churchgoers had a CCW, this might have turned out differently. Not saying the outcome would be perfect, but how many aimed shots could fuckstick have gotten off before getting justly perforated? He clearly expected to find a free-fire zone for his little rampage (and sadly, he did). If only one or more Good Guys With Guns could have spoiled that expectation…
That’s a tough one. Many church going types don’t like carrying into a church because it is a church.
I’ve met many people from many places and different religions and I’ve heard that same response.
Caveat goes to the Taliban and ISIS types who put caches in the Mosques and Madrasas because we respect their holy buildings more than they do….
Not a problem at my church. I know that about 1/2 of the ladies in attendance are carrying. NOt sure how many men do.
Here in SC, concealed carry in a church is only allowed with permission of a church official or governing body http://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t23c031.php
Throwing knives is how I solved the “can’t have a gun in church” problem.
They do, and have. Their ‘logic’ goes like this: A gun is a deadly machine that is easily operated, so they should be stored empty, locked, in a safe. Since this renders the weapon in question useless for self-defense, it is not necessary to keep guns in the home at all. They should be kept on licensed ranges. If the weapon is in such a facility, some mechanism must be in place for the range to ensure proper handling of the weapon on the range, so a safety course would be required to keep a weapon at a range. And since cost can be prohibitive, how hard would it be to squeeze range owners until they were put out of business or had to charge such exorbitant fees that only the very wealthy could afford to keep guns? That can and does happen. Our local outdoor shooting range has been sued FIVE times in the last ten years in an attempt to shut them down, by local McMansion owners who are nervous about that range being nearby, despite the fact that the range was there first.
No, unless you like sleeping with camels, it’s better that they don’t get their nose under this tent flap in the at all. The bottom line is this: the gun control crowd wants a total gun ban, and will not stop until that is what they have.
I meant to add that because of the law suits, the range membership fee has doubled in that ten year period. It’s still quite low, but my point is that pressure is being applied, and we’re being made to feel it, by people who want their own agenda and damn the rest of us.
CNN (online) is stating that the father did not give him the gun. That Dylan Roof was given money for his birthday and he purchased the firearm himself.
Link, please. Not finding that.
http://edition.cnn.com/2015/06/19/us/charleston-church-shooting-main/index.html
“One key part of this horrific scheme — the weapon — came in April, when Roof bought a .45-caliber handgun at a Charleston gun store, the two law enforcement officials told Perez and Bruer from CNN, the first network to report this development. His grandfather says that Roof was given “birthday money” and that the family didn’t know what Roof did with it.”
And I’m sure that’s what their lawyer is telling them to say, regardless of what really happened.
We shall see soon enough what the truth is.
Gravel: thanks. Hadn’t seen that.
Assuming that’s true, it looks like either (1) Roof falsified his 4473, or (2) the gun shop owner is in big trouble. The 2nd question on the 4473 specifically asks if the prospective purchaser is under indictment for a felony. If the answer is “yes”, sale of the weapon is against Federal law – specifically, 18 USC 922(d)(1).
Roof was reportedly arrested on felony drug charges in late Feb and was awaiting further court action in April. You do the math.
Don’t know enough about NICS to know whether local police are supposed to report felony arrests and/or indictments or not.
Hondo,
By the CFR,https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/28/25.4
state and local LEOs are supposed to volunteer up felony conviction and mental health adjudications to the DoJ so it can be entered. So most of the time this is not done and this is how someone like this or that Marysville WA dude or the Beltway sniper slips through the cracks. Remember as well we pay a special and supposed to be specific tax on all firearms related purchases (guns, bullets, reloading gear, sights, etc) to pay for a system that even the NSSF has said been broken and needs overhauling.
Charles, this guy had yet to be convicted; he was awaiting court action, presumably trial, on felony drug charges. So reporting of felony convictions is irrelevant here.
Regardless, it is unlawful under Federal law to sell or transfer a weapon to anyone you know or suspect to be under felony indictment as well as to a convicted felon. That’s why the form specifically asks about both – in separate questions.
Hondo, the major issue is whether or not he had yet been indicted. He’d been arrested, yes, and charged with a felony, but had an indictment been sought and handed down?
It was a drug case and there’s usually a significant backlog of those on any prosecutor’s calendar.
Evil prevails and tragedies ensue.
IMO, the President was his usual narcissistic self when he should have offered nothing but sympathy and kept his idiotic gun control and politics to himself…
Gun Control did not work in Chicago but now that there is concealed carry, gun violence is down. Hmm. How about that? And, no Jonn, it did not stop Adam Lanza, James Holmes, Nidal Hasaan, the freak in Norway.
The Pied Piper is simply showing yet again, he is in above his pay grade.
And, lastly, I pray for peace of all the families suffering to include Roof’s parents.
I guess Obie doesn’t consider France an advanced nation (“…mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries…”) since it was Muslims who shot up a bunch of innocent people. Or China who also had a bunch of innocent people shot. And why isn’t he standing up there using the pulpit when white people are gun down?
Oh, and if just one of the people in the church had been carrying, Roofie wouldn’t have had time to reload 5 times (as I heard on the boob tube.)
Reloaded 5 times. I read that too, although I have no idea if it is true.
If it is true, consider the implications. Either a lot of misses, or greater than half a Glock magazine (of unknown capacity) per each deceased victim. I do not envy his defense lawyer.
I would be willing to bet that he could have been overpowered pretty easily.
China, France, Norway, Finland, the UK, Russia, Spain…wow! He’s insulting an awful lot of countries that do experience mass violence (including mass shootings).
The problem with your statement is, in China, the “people” (aka gummint) are the ones doing the mass killings.
Not always. I seem to remember a story or two about a guy slashing a fair number of people with a BHK (big honkin’ knife) – and killing at least a couple – in a single attack on the streets of a city in China recently.
First I wan to offer my sincere sympathy to the families of those killed and this church’s congregation. Now let’s get the first crap out of the way. Barack Obama is a dick sucking Anti-American, Muslim Apologist, Weasel who doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground if you had HIM dig it and then posed the question to him! Before he could offer any kind of sincere sympathy, he was beating his agenda. Even in his “Now is a time for mourning…” there was the “but” about, guess what…guns of course. I’ve heard this run the gamut now. “It was a hate crime”, Sharpton and his ilk. “It was an act of terrorism”, O’Reilly. It was in my mind, the act of a screwed in the head bigot. I agree, we learn our prejudices, our discrimination be they good or bad, we are not born with them. This kid is messed up in the head without doubt. Obama is an out and out liar to say this does not happen in other developed countries. Yes, I beg your fucking pardon, YES it does! The London bus bombing didn’t involve guns. However, the 52 victims probably received no consolation from the fact that strict gun laws in the UK kept them from being shot instead of blown up. (By the way folks, I have relatives in the UK. They are knowledgeable and quite adamant that guns are prolific…among criminals. The same as here and any other “developed gun banned nation”.) So, to Obama and his “Adviser On All Things Black In America”, Al Sharpton and the rest, was it a hate crime? Yes. I am sure this little shit stain’s heart was full of hate for a lot of people, especially blacks. He’s still though a “lone actor” as the turd in the Dallas shooting the other day was quickly labeled. He had a lot of hate in his heart as well. For the police, his ex, the social workers, etc. he just chose to take it out on the police. “Lone actors” who are messed up mentally… Read more »
Your base point is accurate, lone wolf attacks are virtually impossible to discover and prevent due to the nature of the lone wolf bad actors. Without co-conspirators there is no communication stream to discover and exploit and little to flag the individual in the system.
Your point about the Pandora’s box is one I think is less likely mostly because of manpower. We just don’t have the resources to cover every crazy advancing a hate filled agenda.
Bombs kill far more effectively than guns when it comes to crowds, and the damage they do far more terrifying because it’s often unknown they are there, or who placed them. Being here in Massachusetts the Marathon bombing was an eye opener to just how easy and effective that technique is for making a statement.
I’m hoping this turd ties his hands behind his back and commits suicide by hanging himself.
Thank you and well said. We share the same sentiments regarding young Mr. Roof’s fate.
While he’s at it there’s another issue I think he needs to address that he really hasn’t dealt with.
For years this country has had a problem with drug abuse. I’d like to see him work on making drugs illegal so that people can’t abuse them because they do so much bad in our country…
So slapnuts here is some sort of “white supremacist”.
Has anyone else noticed that racial supremecists (white, black, Asian or whatever flavor) always seem to come from the shallow end of their respective gene pools?
Roof purchased the weapon himself AND passed the background check. The gun grabbers have no standing.
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/420032/charleston-shooting-police-report-shooter-bought-gun-at-store
Well, did anyone mention (I didnt read every comment) that he was suspected to bo on SSRI anti-depressants ***Prescirption*** drugs. Seems like a trend that needs to be discussed…WELL BEFORE GUN CONTROL!…
http://www.infowars.com/every-mass-shooting-shares-one-thing-in-common-its-not-weapons/
http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/19/us/charleston-church-shooting-main/
I do agree that this is an issue that needs to be addressed. I DO NOT agree if you are meaning that all folks on anti-depressants should not own firearms. There are quite a lot of folks out there that take these meds and live better lives because of them.
I am not speaking in definite. Yes, there are portions of the populace who may recieve a benefit from taking ‘said’ drugs. I am not and will not judge them. I am simply trying to point out that something stinks. Everytime something like this happens they blame the guns… No one seems to address the fact that if he was prescribed a drug that in most cases (not all) has been shown to cause, suicidal, *homicidal* thoughts and many other side effects, why is it not being discussed?
Now, about gun control.
Amendment 2 – Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. ‘A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.’
Any questions?
No questions, but one observaton: citing anything from Infowars here probably isn’t exactly going to go over well. From what I can gather, pretty much everyone who comments here puts most authors at Infowars in the “loons and fools” category – right next to Gordon Duff and crew at “Veterans Today”.
The exception might be Alex Jones himself. I get the distinct impression he knows he’s conning people with pure unadulterated bullsh!t – but doesn’t give a damn as long as he rakes in the $$$.
That makes him a dishonest bastard in my book, but not a fool.
Hondo, agree with you completely but they aren’t the only source reporting on the connection to mass shooters and anti-depressant and other psychotropic drugs. Here’s a link to WND which has a lengthy list of killers and discussions of their drug histories:
http://www.wnd.com/2015/06/big-list-of-drug-induced-killers/
And before you say it, yes, I know that WND can get out there sometimes as well, but this article appears to be a comprehensive discussion. Engineer has made a very good point that there is some link to such mass homicidal behavior and these drugs. This is something that should be considered in every conversation regarding guns and mass killings.
One other consideration: black leaders are always pointing out that mass shootings tend to have white perpetrators. I have to wonder what percentage of young white males are in therapy for depression, ADD or other adolescent problems that are routinely treated with loosely monitored prescription psychotropic drugs, as compared with young black males of a similar age?
There could well be a link, Poetrooper. And it’s probably worth a legit study to determine if the apparent linkage is real, and if so how strong.
Still: citing Infowars is pretty much guaranteed to get any point discounted here. Those “fine fellows” working with or for Jones there should adopt the title of an old Slade song and a Zappa album as dual slogans: “Mama Weer All Crazee Now” and “We’re Only In It for the Money”.
Mass shootings happen in Democrat dominated large cities almost every weekend. Nobody says anything about that because they can’t blame a white guy for it though.
Thanks, Race Hustler In Chief!
Mass shootings happen in ‘GUN FREE ZONES, INSIDE’ large cities almost every weekend. (Fixed it for you!)
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2014/10/11/report-92-percent-of-mass-shootings-since-2009-occured-in-gun-free-zones/
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/335739/facts-about-mass-shootings-john-fund
“We don’t have all of the facts, but we do know that once again I will lay the blame at the feet of everything and everyone except the shooter”.
You know, if mass shootings happened in no other country but ours, that fact alone would change nothing. The suggestion put forth by the Emperor and others is that if there were no guns in the hands of the public, there would be few, if any, mass shootings. And that would be true. One cannot shoot a gun that one does not possess. So, the unmistakeable conclusion is that the public ought not have guns. Period. But those who harbor such views know better (usually) never to articulate them straight out, to talk about the logical and undeniable goal. Their game is to chip, chip, and chip some more, never letting a tragedy go to waste in their quest to disarm us. As we all know, laws only stop law-abiding people. Believe it or not, even the dopes in Congress and the guy in the White House know that.
Ive heard that nearly fifty percent of the people in Switzerland own guns, and their violent crime rate isn’t anywhere near as high as in the US, but that doesn’t fit in with the left’s agenda, thus that gets ignored.
Churches, dammit, churches!!! Can’t anyone see the root of the problem? They encourage people to attend at a known time and hopefully come not packing. No, wait a minute, it’s theatres dammit! Don’t you see them creating the problem by enticing large crowds with movies to be shown at a given time. Oh, wait a second, it’s schools dammit!!! They bring students together at a given time, just to alert a gun-wielding idiot the opportune time to strike and succeed. You see, it’s ALWAYS someone else’s fault claims Mr. Big $ defense attorney. Somebody HAS to say this sooner or later. If “they” ever come to my home to confiscate my weapons, “they” will find their last task removing my remains in a body bag. But I swear I’ll take as many gun grabbers ahead of me along for their glory in trying to prove their manhood. I REFUSE to live in a world where I can own no weapons. Come banging on my door, and I Swear to God many will pay for the opportunity to know family members will see their names in the newspaper. On the obit page, no less! NOT a threat….just a statement to be considered by those trying to prove their blind stupid following of Adolph Obie.
I never took a legal gun off of a suspect.
How about you be mad at the piece of shit that committed these act and the worthless father that gave is mentally deficient worthless piece of shit racist son a gun instead of blaming Obama?
How about you do that?
I do not actually blame gun owners, I blame the racist conservative anti-black “they are taking over our country” rhetoric that has been flooding the internet since Obama was elected.
And trying to spin every single incident into an anti-Obama rant is just part of the cacophony of ignorance that swayed the feeble minded piece of shit to commit an act of terror against Americans.
I am pro-gun, I will commit an armed insurrection against any sitting government that tries to outlaw gun ownership.
But the last group I am pissed off at concerning this incident right now is the anti-gun lobby.
Wow, Lars, do you listen to your own bullshit? We do blame the asshole who did it, and his asshole parents, and the lazy asshole in the NICS pipeline who didn’t flag his purchase. We also blame various shithead politicians who will use these murder victims as props in the political theater. And we blame assdouches like you who cry “racist” at anybody who doesn’t agree that Barry Obama is the Messiah and Shotgun Joe Biden is his prophet.
Easy, TOW. You forget that Larsy-poo has his head so far up his own sigmoid, he can almost see daylight.
So, Lars – you think it’s OK for the anti-gun lobby to use the bodies of the slain as political props? Because that’s exactly what they’re doing now.
I’m p!ssed at them for that bit of jackass behavior – as well as their lies which I documented in my article earlier today. Based on your comment here, you must not be. I guess that means you’re OK with that type of behavior.
That doesn’t mean I’m not p!ssed off at Roof.
I’m also p!ssed at Roof – more angry at him for being a racist bastard murderer than I am at the anti-gun left. Had you bothered to actually read the comments here before waxing ignorant above, you’d see that I referred to him as a racist bastard above. That would have been your clue regarding how virtually everyone here feels about Roof – had you been perceptive enough to catch it.
But it would have contradicted your “conservatives bad, Neanderthal” mantra, so you glossed over that. Or maybe you really are so dull that you missed it.
Begone, fool. Leave the adult discussion here to adults – and keep your mouth shut until you’ve learned enough to speak as an adult vice a petulant child.
