Waverly “Wave” Reynar, The Rest of the Story UPDATED

At the bottom of the post I have added an example of how he altered forms to prove his lies.

Waverly Reynar was a Marine, we knew that. He was also in the Navy, we also knew that. He was a cook, we knew that too. What we didn’t know is he did do some time in Vietnam. 6 months and some change. He was based in Danang.

Everything else he claimed is a lie of pants on fire proportion.

This guy really pisses me off. He hurt Real Wounded Warriors with his lies. He took free trips given to him based on those lies. He even had the balls to claim his own son was killed in action,

But it’s also brought grief – Reynar’s son was killed in Iraq.
“That miserable war isn’t worth one more life,” Reynar said before bursting into tears at the Leduc Legion, where he was celebrating Remembrance Day with friends, among them several members of the RCMP.

That is despicable. What kind of low life bottom dwelling shitbird fakes being a Gold Star Father?

This turd will die someday, his coffin will be draped with a US flag. he will bring more disgrace to that flag by laying beneath it than anyone ever did by walking on it or burning it.

The Records;

The Navy says he served 11 years and got out as a E-5

REYNAR_FOIA-R_Navy_1968-1979_20150601-page-001 REYNAR_FOIA-R_Navy_1968-1979_20150601-page-002 REYNAR_FOIA-R_Navy_1968-1979_20150601-page-003

The Marines say he served 4 years and was discharged as a corporal, that’s almost the same as 20+ years he claimed  and being a Gunny, after all whats 16 extra years of service and 3 pay grades between friends?

reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-002 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-003 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-004 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-005 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-006 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-007 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-008 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-009 reynar_waverly_charles_nprc_2-page-010

This guy came from Canada and Joined the Marines when herds of hippies were running to Canada to avoid being drafted. That one fact right would have been enough for most people to give him all the praise and accolades he could ever have wanted.  He ruined all of his good service with the decades of lies.

His lies have hurt real Marines that are trying desperately to  get on with their lives.

I’m calling this one early, Waverly Reynar is the next Blue Falcon award winner. Bernath doesn’t hold a candle to Wave when it comes to out right lies and deception.

UPDATE

I wanted to add an example of how he altered documents, the photo below is of the request he sent in to the Dept of the Navy to have his medals replaced. He uses this as proof of the medals he says he has. IF you look you will see the some of the check boxes are done in blue ink. The rest are checked in black. The black checks are computer generated, the blue he added. This is basically a picking picked used when the replacement medals are sent.

At least Waverly Reynar hasn’t filed a bunch of apeshit crazy lawsuits – yet. Forget the multicolored tennis balls, he ought to be pelted with lacrosse balls by at least a squad of his fellow USMC Vietnam Vets, fuck him!

Patrick Farnon

The city of Leduc is in Alberta if memory serves me correctly… and English is the primary language there! Now Quebec would be a different problem all together.

A Proud Infidel®™

Tell ’em I said “BRING IT, BITCHES!” There are other losers who said they’d visit me and the numbnutted ass muffins STILL haven’t found me yet!

Reb

My family and I are so honored to be Bernaths new project…fucker just won’t quit. 60+ emails in the last 24 hours. He’s a angry lil fella when he can’t find you. We were laughing to the point of tears when he emailed a obituary of a Bartholomees vander Puyl who had a bunch of kids and listed each name. Not even warm. I have one sibling…finally told him I’m not opening another email, until he’s warm. Fat slob lying pile of crap..

K.A.Callaghan

the Mayor of Leduc has no authority to command the local detachment of the RCMP, they are a federal police force NOT a municipal police force. Reynar is a shitpump!

A Proud Infidel®™

Oh, So Reynar has “gone Bernath” on us.

TankBoy

Let me know if I need to send names and numbers for legal representation in Alberta. It is funny that apparently the Mayor of a little town outside of Edmonton has force the federal police force to come after a bunch of military retirees in the States for outing one of his constituents as a liar and valor thief.

TankBoy

It also seems Reynar was not in Division, he was a cook in the Air Wing. Well, the wing, division, and FSSG are all in the Fleet Marine Force (FMF), so I guess it’s a small leap from air wing cook to Force Recon sniper stud. That, and since when do recruiters in Montana send their recruits to RS Salt Lake? Now that is one big fucking Recruiting Station!

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Tell them that there isn’t a Tim Horton’s for 300 miles and the local liquor store doesn’t have Labbat’s or Molson..that will stop them dead in their tracks.

GDContractor

The USMC trained him in “Mess Fundamentals” in 1964 I see. Was that what they called the Force Recon/Sniper/Trail Assassin school at the time?

USMC says “discharged”.
Navy says “discharged”.
I guess that crap he was spewing about receiving a retirement check each month was a lie too… I hope to hell it was.

Thanks for digging to the bottom of this Enigma4you. I hope you didn’t get any on ya.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Better watch out GDC… ol’ Wave will come find you and “spork” you to death

Hondo

Yeah? Well as far as I’m concerned, “Wavey-boi” and the RCMP can just “spork this”.

K.A.Callaghan

The RCMP are not coming for anybody, would you seriously think a federal police agency would just jump and run out in support of someone whom is a known liar and fraudster?

A Proud Infidel®™

Aaah, so Waverly Reynar has become a Canadian Bernath!!

Hondo

K.A.Callaghan: that was intended as a joke. At least as far as the RCMP was concerned. (smile)

GDContractor

“FIX SPORKS!!!”

C2Show

Waverly also wins Brian Cox look a like award. This dude didnt even have to lie about his service…

HMCS(FMF) ret.

No Good Conduct Medal from either the marine Corps or the Navy for his time in the service. Must have been a “stellar performer”…

Also – he bounced around quite a bit from 68 – 70, five boats and the sub squadron. Not being a bubblehead, this seems to be a sign that he wasn’t a “stellar performer”, like he claimed he was.

E4U, thanks for your efforts and I agree with you – he crapped all over his service with his lies, especially when he came across the border to serve.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Oh, before I get slammed for the typo… Marine Corps (only 2 cups of Joe this AM)

GDContractor

Maybe the Navy didn’t like his sticky bums as much as he thought they did. I notice that most of those boats we decommissioned in the early ’70s and sold to foreign navies. I question how active they were in their final years/months. Of course, there was the memorable trip around Cape Hadderous…. permanently seared into my brain.

C B Senior

I thought cooks in the Navy at his time of enlistment were known as Mess Specialist MS. The rate did not change to CS until the last decade.

C B Senior

TY E4Y

The first CS was a little before my time.

C B Senior

Marine Corps says his service was 63-70, so how was he in the Navy from 68-79?

Hondo

Yep. Looks like someone forgot to notify the USMCR that he had enlisted in another service.

I find it . . . interesting that he couldn’t seem to get a decent job in 1967 and decided to go back into the military (but not, of course, into the USMC or Army). The economy was pretty much screaming along at near full employment then due to the buildup in Vietnam.

C B Senior

Had a feeling that was the case, but as Hondo noted, I think the Corps would have liked to know, not that they could have used someone in Nam during 67-68.

TankBoy

It also seems Reynar was not in Division, he was a cook in the Air Wing. Hondo

E4U: no credit necessary; glad to help.

If you wouldn’t mind, I would like a scanned copy of his USMC FOIA – with any of the requestor’s PII redacted, of course – for completeness sake.

A Proud Infidel®™

Hondo, I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE YOU if I ever grow up!! 😀

Dave Hardin

Thanks for the link…..Now the girls all want one.

Hondo

So do you amigo. Gracias.

Hondo

Interesting. Anyone want to guess who else was in 3rd Serv Bn 3rd MarDiv (Reinf) – but just about to leave country – at the same time ol’ “Wavey-boi” here arrived? I’ll even spot you the letter “V” . . . .

HMCS(FMF) ret.

I’ll take “Forgin’ Frank” for $1000, Hondo!

Hondo

(Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!)

Looks like we have a wiener, folks! (smile)

GDContractor

Those Sea and Air Embarkation Slips are pretty cool. I guess they didn’t fill those out for the HHC guys like Francis. I bet I could make a real nice one with Edwardian script font. If we only knew the name of that damn ship….

FlyinRP

How is it that he was in the Navy and the Marines at the same time from 68-70? I know the 60s and 70s were strange times, but that just doesn’t make sense to me!

B Woodman

E4U,
“when heards of hippies”
That’s “herds”. There. Fixed it for ya.

(I swear, I need to be hired as a proofreader and editor. I am a GrammerNazi. Just ask my grown children, they’re STILL suffering from the trauma).

A Proud Infidel®™

There, their, they’re, sometimes it’s OK to be a Grammar Nazi, I get that way myself periodically.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

OK folks!

Like I called early last year on Bernath taking the tourney … E4U has called this year!

I know what I am voting!

Hondo

Dunno about that, MCPO. Bernie-boi didn’t show until Dec 2013. Before that, it looked to be a battle royal between about 3-4 others.

I’d like to see what other fools and tools show up during the rest of this year before I anoint “Wavey-boi” here as the new King of Sh!tbird Mountain and seat him upon the Turdish Throne.

You might well be correct, and he’s certainly going to make a deep run. But I think I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve seen the rest of this year’s “wieners”.

GDContractor

My boy Chevy was robbed! Robbed I tell you! He killed off his own sock puppet LindaK! I saw pictures from the funeral! Self murder my butt!

sj

I was a huge Chevy fan but Bernath was (and still is) unbeatable in asshattery. Hope he’s ineligible this year because he’d take it again.

jedipsycho (Certified Space Shuttle Door Gunner)

The fat lady hasn’t even rolled out of bed yet for this year’s tourney. 🙂

Combat Historian

This guy is the classic Blue Falcon par-excellance. I feel sorry for all the young wounded vets who looked up to him while he was spouting his lies and half-truths…a real damn shame…

Slick Goodlin

“This guy came from Canada and Joined the Marines when herds of hippies were running to Canada to avoid being drafted”

Just a note: In 1963 stank-ass anti-war Hipppies were still a couple of years up the road. 1963 was sill ordinary enough for Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead to have already done an undistinguished hitch in the U.S Army.

Ex-PH2

I don’t think the draft card burning thing started until 1966, just ahead of the summer of LUV in 1967.

But what do I know? I was in the Navy during the summer of LUV.

Just an Old Dog

Ha it’s “the summer of LUV” every year in the Navy… even on those all male boats.

Dave Hardin

The fact that he did serve in the Corps only makes what he did worse. He dishonored his service and disrespected what it means to earn an EGA.

Shame on the countless Gullible Phuks that let him get away with it for so long.

Flagwaver

Be careful. If you say this guy is worse than Crash-and-Bernath, the lawer might sue you for libelous statements, copyright infringement, and rustling his bushes.

Green Thumb

An old, gnarly turd.

I imagine he will be on the All-Points Logistics Board of Directors soon.

NavyCWORet

Ok, so according to his History of Assignments:

17SEP68 Failed out of SubSchool as a CS3 (Non-grad) and was assigned to the Subbase in New London.

04Nov68 Gets assigned to USS BLENNY (SS324) and is an (SU) which is In Training for Submarine Qualification. While there, earns(?) his dolphins (SS). Stays that way a few years and duty stations.

17APR72 Received TAD/TDY to USS GUDGEON (SS567) as a CS2(SS), then leaves and goes to a school in Norfolk 05JUN72 as a CS2 without his SS designator. Was this a lazy Personnelman who simply neglected to put the (SS) behind his rate or did he get disqualified and kicked off the boat? His (SS) fails to appear in any more of his History of Assignments and is not on the Navy FOIA request. At no point from 1968 – 1979 did he receive a single award (at least 2 opportunities for a GCM). Interesting.

Just something that makes you go “Hmmmmmm”!

GDContractor

From Wave’s own words:
“[…] I WAS
STILL cANDIAN, so they would,t let me go through sub school[…]”
http://www.webenet.net/~ftoon/memory/guestbook97-99.html

So, the Navy never sent him to Sub School. See how that works?

Also, in regards to where ‘Ol Wave was during the Battle of Mutters Ridge in August of 1969, according to his record of assignments, he was on the USS Blenny cooking his famous sticky bums. Twenty-one Marines were killed the night of 10 Aug 1969. Words fail me in my attempt to express my disgust of this …

GDContractor

I have no basis for saying this other than speculation, but I wonder if his time on boats was limited to when the boats were tied up to the pier.

NavyCWORet

E4U,
Not sure what you’re seeing wrong. Only thing I see that’s odd is the length of time he spent on TRIGGER before he went to GUDGEON. Most of his other time was a few months at a time, be it pierside or on patrol.

04NOV68 BLENNY
24OCT69 ENTEMEDOR
02MAR70 DOGFISH
22MAY70 Re-enlisted (6 years)
14JUN70 TROUT
28SEP70 TEMDU SUBRON THREE (Temporary Duty)
20OCT70 TRIGGER
14APR72 GUDGEON
05JUN72 TUMDUINS Norfolk (Probably the Commissary Refresher School)
17AUG72 NAS Moffett Field, CA

It’s possible he could have stayed at Moffett the remainder of his career. His History of Assignments reflects no further duty stations till his separation in 1979.

Bobo

It looks like his time on the boats at Groton was as a rider. After he failed sub school, he was assigned to the sub base, and it looks like they threw him on random boats that needed a cook. The first time that he did an expected assignment was on the Trigger (1.5 yrs) after they sent him to San Diego. Like you, I’m guessing that something happened on the Gudgeon, since he was there for only 2 months, then they sent him TDY for school in Norfolk where he’s no longer (SS) designated. It’s also interesting that he did almost 7 years at NAS Moffett Field and never saw a boat again. There is also the issue of his being promoted only once, from CS3 to CS2 in his almost 11 years of service and no record of a NGCM. Either he had some serious issues with the CS1 rating exam, or he had some eval problems that kept him from getting promoted.

NavyCWORet

There have to be things missing from his record. He can’t spend 7 years in Moffett without re-enlisting, since his enlistment would have been up in 1976. At a minimum, he’d have been required to execute an extension. His GCM would have been due at 1972 and 1976. My guess is that he could have been to Mast on GUDGEON in 72 and would have lost the dolphins and GCM then (just a theory). Not sure what would have happened in 1976.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Also, he was a NAS Moffett Field, but was separated at NS San Diego in 79 – Why? Was he sent from Moffett Field to San Diego for a Captain’s Mast or a Courts Martial?

Look at the entry for NAS Moffett Field – the PRD was pen and ink changed from AUG 74 to OCT 74. He should have gone back to Sea in Oct 74, but didn’t.

There’s more going on here that what his records are showing… and I’m thinking that he had some legal or disciplinary problems that bit him in the ass.

Bobo

You have to requal, but it is mostly administrative. The re-qual consists of learning the DC systems and some of the overall ships systems, along with some watch standing qualifications. It isn’t the same as the initial qualification, and I’ve never heard of anyone failing to re-qual. The only time I saw someone lose the dolphins was for drug related issues.

Hondo

I would not be surprised if his separation was honorable, but for HYT. At the time of his separation, he had a total of 15 1/3+ years total active service – 4 yrs USMC, plus 11 yrs 4 mo and change of active Navy time. I’m pretty sure that was over HYT even in the late 1970s.

I’m wondering if he didn’t “forget” to mention his USMC time when he enlisted – and they didn’t “catch it” for a while. Like until he was already over E5 HYT, or maybe on the Gudgeon.

It’s also possible he may have had a string of minor disciplinary offenses that kept him DQed for a GCM, but weren’t bad enough to get him tossed. I don’t think the Navy got “slammed” with as much of a post-Vietnam drawdown as the Army, and I believe that during the Ford and Carter admins personnel policies were fairly lenient by today’s standards regarding discipline and admin discharges.

Just speculation on my part. I’d love to know exactly what really happened, but I suspect that we’ll never know the full story.

NavyCWORet

His USMC honorable service shouldn’t have counted against his HYT Navy time. I enlisted in the Navy as a CS3, which wouldn’t be possible unless they credited his USMC time for rank purposes, so Navy knew about it. I have no doubt he probably stepped on his crank a time or two in order not to make CS1 after 10 years as a CS2.

NavyCWORet

That second sentence should read “He enlisted in the Navy….”

NavyCWORet

Yes, the “Outfit Class” was where he would have received his Navy uniform and indoc.

Hondo

Yeah, you two (E4U, NavyCWORet) are right – I’d forgotten he came in the Navy as an E4 due to prior service.

Was beginning to wonder if the guy was being cagy and trying to make an “end run” around HYT and reach sanctuary by hiding his 4 years in the USMC. But that’s obviously not possible, given the known facts here.

A Proud Infidel®™

Time and further investigations will tell, he’s pissed off a LOT of people, so I think we’ll find out in due time.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

It looks like he spent time on the Trout (LANT Fleet), sent TDY to SUBRON Three (PAC Fleet), then to the Trigger, where he spent 18 months (most of the boat’s time was in the yards at Hunters Point), then sent to the Gudgeon for 2 months before TDY to NAVSTA Norfolk.

IMO, it looks like he was a borderline performer that had NJP issues. He was moved from boat to boat to fill in for other CS’s that were TDY or on leave. He was a warm body needed to fill a billet for a short period of time for a trial or shakedown. It would also explain why he never got a GCM while in the Navy, and why his SS designation was dropped on his History of Assignments.

Just an Old Dog

I’m still at a loss to figure out what his MOS was in the Corps. I see Boot Camp and ITR (which was a requirement for all Marines, not just Infantry) I see Marine Barracks, Air Wing Units, Mainteniance units and Support/HQ. Not a single Infantry Bn.

Just an Old Dog

So he was an egg-slapper.

Just an Old Dog

It might also explain why his Navy training was only a Culinary Refresher Course and Basic Submarine School.. He only needed to be able to get around on the sub and perhaps do basic damage control and firefighter… he was there to be an egg-slapper.

Green Thumb

More like “cock refresher”.

Just an Old Dog

I’m wondering if it’s possible that he got some kind of early retirement/seps package.
He had 15 years service total I know they have did that a few times. I had a Bro in Law who had like 16-18 in the Army and Got early retirement in the late 80s.

Hondo

Just an Old Dog: pretty sure it would show up as “retired” if it were a 15 year retirement instead of “discharged”.

FWIW: the military didn’t do retirements in the 1970s at less than 20 except for disability. Lots of Vietnam-era folks found that out the hard way, particularly after the rules for conduct tightened up considerably early in the Reagan Administration. Temporary Early Retirement Authority (TERA) didn’t start until the late 1980s/early 1990s; it was a temporary authority that required a change in Federal law, and was time-limited. It was recently re-instituted for the post-Iraq drawdown; I believe that also required Congressional action.

The Army (and perhaps other services) also had a non-retirement option that made periodic payments – the Voluntary Separation Incentive, or VSI, if I recall correctly – in the late 1980s/early 1990s. Believe they did that before offering the 15-year retirement, but it might have been at the same time. As I recall, that program was NOT a retirement; however, it provided payments for 2x the amount of time a person had served on active duty (there were other rules as well, some involving recoupment of payments under certain conditions). Don’t remember much more about it since it was 25 years ago now. Knew one guy who did that.

I don’t recall any program similar to the VSI in the late 1970s/early 1980s, at least not in the Army. Can’t speak for other services with certainty, but I don’t recall of hearing about one for other services either.

The SS, BSM, Purple Heart(s), para wings, combatant swimmer insiginia are all Bullshit! Claiming that his son was KIA is about as low as a human being can sink, I know too many foks who have suffered this tradgedy, and this f*cker wears that story like some badge of honour! What bennies did he access through his fraudulent claims, how may free trips, how many times was his driveway shovelled? F*Ck him and anyone like him! AND, he played his sick f*cking game with the families of the Mayerthorpe Fallen 4, the dudes from the Tarnak Farm incident by presenting them with “his” Purple Hearts. and no doubt, had he not been exposed as a greasy, slimy, lying f*ck, he would be playing his sick game today!

One can only hope that this shit bag will eventually be found in a piss and vomit streaked back alley, near death, with his self awarded bling stomped into his sloping forehead, flaming dildos stuck in his eye sockets and a frozen porcupine protruding from his prolapsed rectum.

As the only Canadian in a HQ located in the middle of the US Heartland, I was often reminded that my profanity laden direction to subordinate units was very upsetting to all those within earshot particularly those from South of the MD Line… That being said, where the fuck were you fuckers back then?

Hondo

Sounds like you don’t much like the guy, M9C. (smile)

We understand. We don’t much care for him either.

I personally think he should change his middle name from “Charles” to “Fahkheem”. Or, alternately, add it as a hyphenated, second last name.
